My Napoleon fireplace wasn't working properly. I called a local fireplace dealer...they said they were overbooked and couldn't see me for 4 weeks. Then I found Imran. You know when you deal with someone professionally and you know you'll be dealing with them for the rest of your life? Well it was my LUCKY DAY. He was nice and efficient on the phone and although he seems like a busy and experience professional, he showed up at my house within an hour. He tested and diagnosed the problems and rather than charge for parts, he suggested a thorough tune up first. His tune up is more like a luxury detailing. It looks as if I bought a NEW FIREPLACE!!! And of course now it work perfectly. He even took the switch apart, cleaned it, and re-wired it more efficiently. He is a true 10/10. No fancy website, no employees, no problems. I look forward to seeing him next year for my new annual fireplace tuneup (detailing). Do not hesitate to call Imran.

Imran arrived as scheduled, despite bad weather and road conditions. After some quick diagnostic work, he explained what the problem was and what he was doing at various stages during the repair. Imran brought all required tools and parts with him; no need for a return or follow-up service call. He also offered very good tips about how to improve the air circulation around the fireplace to achieve better heating throughout our home. Overall, Imran provided great service in a friendly, professional manner and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

We moved into our home at the beginning of December. One of the features we looked forward to was the gas fireplace. It seemed to have worked fine during the home inspection, but of course failed to work once we moved in. I called Imran after reading the reviews on Homestars, and am happy to report they are accurate! This is a man that takes obvious pride in his work, and it shows in the results. Very fair, meticulous, and responsive. In this day of poor customer service and shoddy work, Imran was a pleasure to deal with.

Bought a condo with gas fireplace that did not stay on. Called Imram who responded within 12 hrs, and I had an appointment 36 hrs later. Came in, evaluated work, described probable causes of the problem. The fireplace was 12 years old, did not look like it was never serviced since installation and showed intensive use. Quoted for service and replacement a couple of parts, but suggested replacement of another critical part which was visibly degraded and could fail any time. We agreed to immediate replacement. Work was performed diligently, very clean and Imram was a real gentleman. We are now enjoying the fireplace and will make sure to have it serviced once a year by Imram. Imran arrived right on time, explained each step in servicing our fireplaces, he was patient, meticulous and cleaned up thoroughly when complete. We were very pleased with his work and would recommend his services to friends or family. We would certainly have him back to service our fireplaces again if required.

My mother had a problem starting up the gas fireplace in her home so after checking on Homestars for a highly rated company to fix the problem I found Imran. He was great. He came on the same day that I called. The fireplace starts at the flick of a button now and it looks like new. He is very thorough. I was so impressed with the results at my mom's house I immediately took him to my house where he cleaned my fireplace and converted the wall switch to a thermostat so that it can turn on and off on demand to maintain the desired temperature. I highly recommend Imran if you are in need of any repairs to your gas fireplace.

I lived in my house for 5 years and used the basement fireplace each year with no issues, although it's never been serviced. As it was not working this season i checked Honmestars and called Imran, boy, am i glad i found Imran. He arrived on time, performed a full diagnoses & cleaning. Fireplace now works/looks even better than before.

Just today we tried to ignite our 12 yr old gas fireplace and it wouldnt turn over so we frantically looked for a quick solution. Luckily we found Imran's number. We called him and spoke to his wife who was able to arrange very quickly (within 5 mins) a service - nonetheless on a busy Sunday with freezing rain in the air! Imran arrived on time with a great attitude, tons of knowledge and an amazing work ethic. He was extremely friendly (even coaxed a smile from our shy 5 yr old) and was very thorough in his work and service. He taught me a lot and convinced us of the need to work with an expert. I contacted Gas Fireplace Services and Repairs after reading all the excellent reviews in Homestars. Imran came out the next day, right on time, and had the problem with our 20 yr old gas fireplace diagnosed very quickly. He was meticulous, explained every step of what he was doing and when he was finished our fireplace was working better than it ever has. I would absolutely recommend Imran's service to anyone needing their gas fireplace restored to prime working condition.

It is my pleasure to have met Imran Emamdee of Gas Fireplace Services & Repairs today and have him service our (older) Regency gas fireplace. We had not consistently used it in 6+ years, it was no longer working for the last 2 years and we were considering removing it altogether and reverting to the original wood burning fireplace. Then we decided to have a look online to see if we could find someone who services the Toronto area.

After reading such positive reviews on HomeStars about Imran and his high level of service, I decided that he was just the person to call. We are happy to report that Imran gets 5 stars! Here is why:

* Prompt service - I called first thing this morning and he was able to make it to our home before 2 this afternoon.
* Very Knowledgeable - he was able to instantly determine from looking at our pilot light that there was an issue. He explained what he was doing each step of the way.
* Passionate - Imran knows his work with many years of expertise and it was a pleasure to see him work patiently, with enthusiasm and have a smile on his face.
* Respectful - he asked to move our furniture that was close by and laid all his tools down on a rug he brought so as not to dirty anything. He thoroughly cleaned all the parts that needed attention and when he was finished he cleaned up all the mess and left our home looking better than before.
* Honest - he explained what our system really needed and indicated the costs upfront before proceeding. In addition to a serious top to bottom cleaning, that the valve and sensor needed attention as they are on their way out and said it would have been easy to just tell me to replace those parts but given the price tag (over $1500 for parts alone), he wanted to save us money and not make us have to spend unnecessarily unless we had too.

And if you really want to know what made the difference between four and five stars.... it's the small things that make a huge difference. For example, when I told Imran that I did not particularly like how the flame was small and only blue, he said that was no problem to change and added mineral to make the flame look so realistic that it far exceeded my expectations. Also, I did not like the pebbles surrounding the logs on either side because they looked like they belonged in a fish tank (or that we should have a snake in our fireplace!) and Imran said "not a problem", he removed them and said they were not necessary, just for looks and he also preferred it when the surrounding was just smooth and black. Overall, I have to say that we are so happy we made the call to Imran and will be calling him again in the future! Thanks Imran... our family is now warm and cosy with an awesome, new looking fireplace :)
