I've used Green & Spotless several times now to clean my carpets, and they never fail to deliver great results and professional, courteous service. This time I used them for my carpets and to clean the grout on my travertine tiles in the kitchen. After 10 years, the heavy traffic areas had really made the white grout look grimy and it seemed impossible to clean. The results from Green & Spotless blew me away. The floor looks practically new - as it was when it was first laid down. I'll continue to use this company, and recommend them without hesitation.

I wanted to convert my garage into a more usable workspace, and had some electrical work done (additional outlets installed, etc.). The electrician created some horrific holes in the old drywall to run wiring that would need to be patched. The existing drywall was in poor condition to begin with, and half of the garage had no drywall at all. I called Jimmy at Portu Galo and was impressed immediately with his professionalism and obvious expertise. The work went quickly, and the results were beyond what I was expecting for my old garage. Very professional job! I would recommend Jimmy and his team anytime.

I highly recommend Pool Buoy if you're worried about a leak in your pool. Larry was very responsive and accommodating when arranging an appointment, and punctual, professional, friendly and very thorough in his inspection. He explained every step he was taking in the inspection process and has very sophisticated equipment to ensure the smallest leaks are found. I was very impressed with his service and have no complaints at all.

I've used Green & Spotless twice now to remove difficult pet stains from carpet. Carlos is extremely thorough, professional and friendly and has done a great job both times - the results are very impressive. I will continue to use Green & Spotless any time I need my carpets cleaned.

I need to start this review with a cautionary tale. I've had great success finding service companies through HomeStars. So much so that when I decided to have the insulation in my attic upgraded, I got lazy and went with the first company I found that had a good rating. The company I went with is one that claims to be the official insulation contractor for two of Canada's most well known TV "celebrity handymen" . I had an uneasy feeling from day one when the estimate I received was way, way above what I was expecting. When I questioned the estimate, the salesman said the best way I could save some money was reducing the insulation amount to R40 (from R50). That would apparently save me 10%. I was left with a hand-written proposal with scratched out numbers and not even a final total indicated (i.e.: I guess I was supposed to do the math myself, and trust that the guy back at the office would come to the same amount). Despite numerous requests for an official email detailing the work and prices we had agreed on, the handwritten proposal was all I was ever provided. We had agreed on a date for the work to be completed, and I had arranged to stay home from work. That morning I got a call from one of the workers who was on the road saying that the guy who was to do the prep work prior to the insulation being blown in was sick, and they didn't have anyone else to do it! The day was wasted, and unbelievably, I never heard back from their office to apologize or to set up another appointment. Now to contrast that terrible experience with the fantastic experience I had with EcoComfort: Wojtek arrived precisely on time to provide me with an estimate, was polite and efficient, and within minutes I had an itemized email detailing all of the work to be completed and the final price. He identified important considerations that the other company hadn't even noted and wouldn't have addressed. On the day the work was to be completed, again they arrived precisely on time. The two guys introduced themselves with a handshake, were very polite and professional. They did the job thoroughly, and efficiently, and were careful - drop cloths on the floors everywhere to ensure there was no mess. When they were finished, they walked me through all the work so I could be sure it was done to my satisfaction. When the work was finished and they had packed up, you would never have known they had been there. Everything was spotless. Their prices are very reasonable - the amount of insulation added was to achieve an R60 rating (the previous company was going to only do R40), insulated and weatherstripped the access hatches to the attic, installed insulated exhaust ducts and roof vents for two bathroom fans, and added fibreglass insulation to the skylight where there was nothing before. Again, much of this work hadn't even been identified by the other company I dealt with, and their estimate had been much higher! I am super impressed with EcoComfort, from their customer service to the actual work, everything was flawless and professional.

A heavy downpour the weekend we took possession of the home we had purchased revealed a significant leak from the kitchen skylight. I contacted Mr. Roof Repair right away, having already used their services at my previous home. Not only are they extremely prompt and professional, they document everything they do with photographs and written reports so you can understand exactly what the problem is. In my case, unfortunately, the entire skylight needed replacing. Mr. Roof Repair made temporary repairs to prevent any further leaking, and within 3 weeks they came back and installed a new skylight (had to be custom ordered). Again, the entire installation process was documented with photographs so I could see that the job was completed professionally. Highly recommended.

We moved into our home at the beginning of December. One of the features we looked forward to was the gas fireplace. It seemed to have worked fine during the home inspection, but of course failed to work once we moved in. I called Imran after reading the reviews on Homestars, and am happy to report they are accurate! This is a man that takes obvious pride in his work, and it shows in the results. Very fair, meticulous, and responsive. In this day of poor customer service and shoddy work, Imran was a pleasure to deal with.

We hired Rent-a-Son to move our furniture to our new home. I was very pleased when they showed up 15 minutes early, and promptly went to work, laying mats along all traffic areas, and taking a tour and asking specific questions to ensure they knew everything they were doing. Furniture was wrapped and packaged carefully whenever necessary, and the whole job was completed ahead of schedule. Friendly, hard working guys. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

We had a problem with a red squirrel that had decided to make our attic it's home. A friend recommended Gates Wildlife, and I'm glad I called them. Chris, the tech sent to deal with the issue was a pleasure to deal with. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. We live in a semi-detached - he even took the time to inspect my neighbors side as well. When the sqirrel returned and was trying to create a new access point at another location (these reds are tenacious little varmints), all it took was one call to Gates and Chris returned to deal with the problem, no additional fees. Outstanding company - from the receptionist on up, everyone I dealt with was great. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.
