Imran arrived the same day on very short notice and was able to resolve our faulty fireplace issue. He said that eventually we may require a new sensor and/or valve but managed to get the fireplace up and running perfectly. For those of you who want a service person who cares for your home as much as you do, this is the guy! Needless to say, he was very careful and extremely cautious when working on the unit. No mess! Unlike many service people he was thoughtful enough to remove his shoes.
Call him! You won't be dissapointed.

I'm delighted to add my experience with Imran Emamdee for his professional attitude, and excellent and timely service in repairing my gas fireplace which had not been serviced for years. He exceeded all reasonable expectations. I highly recommend him for knowledge, thoroughness, and pleasant to deal with.

Very seldom does a persons' expectations get exceeded - my experience with Imran was one of those times. We have two gas log fireplaces in our house and it was obvious to me that they had rarely or never been serviced prior to the three years we have been living in our home. Then they started acting up and I knew it was time so I did a simple search on google and Imran and his company, Gas Fireplaces Services and Repairs, came up. His reviews were unbelievable and after reading them I said to myself "this is the guy" and did not even look any further. I emailed him and he called me back the next day: we eventually settled on a Sunday. He showed up at the promised time and had a look at the fireplaces and explained to me the potential problems. He then asked me if I wanted to proceed and my answer was "for sure, let's get it done". Imran was meticulously clean and tidy and watching him work I could see his passion for his chosen trade. As it turns out and as I expected, my fireplaces were in pretty rough shape and I needed to replace a sensor on one fireplace and remote ignition boxes on both fireplaces. He spent 15 minutes trying to salvage/repair the ignition boxes so I would not have to replace them but in the end I said to Imran "it's time, you can't do anymore for those ignition switches as their maker is calling them home so lets just replace them". Imagine that, someone trying to save you money. After cleaning the entire fireplace from top to bottom and side to side he then reassembled the fireplace logs and parts after checking that every component to ensure they were in proper and SAFE working condition. Once that was done, he then did some marvellous touch ups on the fireplaces with his "Magic Can" and voila, my fireplaces worked perfectly like never before and they looked beautiful to boot. I am so happy to have met this fine gentleman named Imran and to have welcomed him into our home. It's extraordinarily rare to meet such a fine person and he happens to be the same guy who came and repaired and renewed the life of our fireplaces.

We had others out previously, but it always stopped working again. Imran came shortly after calling in the evening at our convenience (we work). He found spider webs in two different locations, put the fireplace back together, still wasn't happy with the ignition, took it back apart again, and fixed the third issue. For all of this, he was fast and efficient, and the charge was reasonable for such job (in our opinion and we doubt others would have been successful). We plan on using him on-going, and highly recommend him.

On time, on budget and professional in every way, Imran was a pleasure to work with. For our existing insert, he cleaned and adjusted it so that it works better than it did before. For the new gas log insert we wanted to install, he helped us choose the right style and size of gas log set to fit into our masonry fireplace and made the whole process easy and stress-free. He spent time explaining how it works, how to re-light the pilot and generally making sure that all of our questions were answered. He even came back a few days later when we wanted the pilot light adjusted. Superb service. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Quick service - appointment within 2 days. Both fireplaces in our new "old" home clearly had not been serviced in a very long time. Imran was professional and went above and beyond the call of duty. One FP had a pilot light issue as well as a damaged remote. It was difficult to access this particular FP grill but Imran persisted. Efficient, professional, clean! I'd highly recommend Imran and his company to friends or family.

Imran was polite, professional, absolutely fastidious and very proud to get the job done well. He rectified the mess a previous contractor had made, and our fireplace is now looking great and working perfectly!

I have an older Lennox Gas Fireplace that was no longer functioning (would not ignite). Imran arrived early, was very friendly, and knowledgeable. He resolved the issue quickly, and took the time to properly clean and reassemble the fireplace before leaving. All in all, a great experience. My first choice should I have any issues with my gas fireplace in the future.

Imran said that the fireplace would look better than when it was new and it absolutely does. He was thorough and professional and worked diligently because it needed a lot of cleaning, We are delighted with the work and thank him very much, we don't hesitate to recommend him and will call him for future service and cleaning.

Had a new fireplace installed by someone else as part of a major reno in 2009. It stopped working in the first winter so we had the original installer repair, upgrade (blower fan) and clean it. It quit again at the end of 2010 so I decided to check with Homestars for someone else. Luckily I called Imran hoping to have him come within a week or two as it was the start of heating season. He told me that he was really busy and and heavily scheduled but then asked if it would be all right if he came by early the following morning as he had a later call nearby. He was here bright and early and proceeded to completely disassemble the fireplace, showing me that it had not only had it not been cleaned during the other guys previous service call but it still had construction debris inside from the installation! He proceeded to clean up the burner and the fireplace worked perfectly - no parts required and he improved the flame so that it looks much better now. All the way through he explained exactly what was being done and why. Couldn't ask for a better job or a better serviceman. Before he left I made sure that he'd be around next year for the annual cleaning. Thanks again Imran, see you in 2013.
