We've used the shock doctors for nearly three years now for all our electrical needs, but I'll review our first experience with them! We purchased a mid-70s house in Innisfil that needed a LOT of electrical work, including a ton of aluminum wiring pig-tailing. Chad spent a week at our house replacing outlets and fixtures, getting everything up to code, and did so with a smile on his face and occasionally a cat on his shoulder. We've used them multiple times since and have never had a bad experience. Highly, highly recommended.

We needed to move all of our things into storage as part of the process of refinishing our main floor, and the previous movers fell through. Two men and a truck saved us -- a phone call Thursday afternoon had Nic and Chris here on Saturday morning, and they were by far the best movers we've had, taking absolute care of everything and doing so with efficiency and speed. We'll be calling them back in a few weeks to get everything back!

We got quotes from a number of different companies to replace all the windows on the main floor of our house, including changing a box bay window into a bay window. Eco Choice was the winner for price, excellent window functionality, and a fantastic sales team and customer support. Windows were ready right on time, installation was well done and as undisruptive as possible, and we can't wait to do the windows upstairs next year!

We hired Miracle Movers to move our house which included a number of unusual items due to some exotic pets. They arrived on time, worked with great skill and also a lot of intelligence, and moved our entire household from Brampton to Innisfil without fuss. Very well worth the cost to have things done correctly!

We had a burner on our LG range that had burned out and needed it replaced quickly to put our house on the market. Rick was easy to deal with and replaced the burner quickly.

We've had a rough time finding someone to come out and inspect our furnace. Multiple companies either didn't answer or didn't reply. We finally found Atlas Care, and I'm so glad we did. Our technician was excellent, made some great recommendations about our furnace, and was absolutely delightful to deal with. We'll be using AtlasCare from now on. Great company! Update 2/29/2016: We woke up the heat being off today and they were out at our house to repair the furnace less than two hours after I called.

We've used Water Works a number of times in the past, and they've always been excellent. Their service is quick, reasonably priced, and very well done. Larry was our plumber this time around and did a fantastic job replacing a leaky shut off valve in our basement. Very highly recommended.

We've used water works as our go-to plumbers for five years now, and they have always been fantastic. They arrive on time, keep me up to date with cost, and are generally available very quickly if required. Today, we had Michael come over and check out a valve, which he tightened to stop the leak, and made a recommendation to replace it in the fall. Highly recommended if you need a plumber.

At the end of December, our furnace began making a strange noise. Thinking that we had purchased our air conditioner from them, I called Reliance Home Comfort. Turns out, we got our A/C from Reliable Home Comfort. Calling Reliance was a huge mistake. Our technician came out the next day and diagnosed a faulty blower motor. He ordered a new part and said it would be there within a few days. When the day came that the part was supposed to arrive, we called them and they said it wasn't available yet. Same thing the next day. Unfortunately, the next day (Friday), the furnace died entirely. I was promised that the furnace would be fixed on Monday, and we settled in for the weekend. Monday morning, the same (very good) technician came out, surprised that it had taken that long to get the part. Unfortunately, he found that the bracket that holds the motor had been destroyed when the motor died. He ordered the new part, and said it would be sent to the house, and there the next morning. End of day Tuesday, I finally called them, having heard nothing. They said 'maybe tomorrow'. I called again the next day (since they stopped updating me entirely), waited on hold for an hour, and was told that a technician would be there within the hour -- good thing my husband works from home, or else I probably would never have gotten heat back. The technician finally fixed my heat after 8 days. He double charged us for the diagnostic fee, which I then had to have refunded. The funniest thing about the entire situation is that 7 days after the heat was fixed, we received the part that was supposed to be sent to our house. I emailed the customer support person, who arranged to have it picked up -- and the technician who came to get it was told that he'd be fixing our heat. The entire situation was a disaster. I give them a 1 only because the technicians were good, but the company could not manage to communicate things correctly if their lives depended on it.

We called Sonoma Contracting in early December to get an estimate on finishing the basement in our new house. Mike offered a lot of good suggestions, and came up with a very reasonable estimate. Over the next six weeks, he worked wonders. They worked weekends and over the holidays to get things done quickly, and did so without much impact to our day to day lives. And the basement is breathtaking. It's hard to believe that what was a dark unfinished place is now the gorgeous work that it is. The details and finishing touches were astonishing, including making a column out of one of the support poles and designing a bookcase to hide some unsightly pipes. I would highly recommend them to anyone, anywhere, any time.
