At first I contacted all the big-name moving companies and that was a complete waste of time. These guys are the real deal. I was extremely happy with the decision to go with Hobbs! Thanks guys!

After the SOLD sign went on my house I received min. 30 business cards from various movers. After many interviews I found Viktoria. After seeing the reviews, talking with Cormac- I signed for them to move me from Richmond Hill on Aug 19 - to storage - to Barrie on Aug. 22. They're quote was very accurate and Dev was a super star leading the team on both moves. A stand-up fan was broken but that was it. My precious antiques were well taken care of. This is a great moving company with fantastic people behind the scenes and the actual movers.

To Alan we are not just "customers" we are people, people in need of assistance, reassurance, and guidance finding and fighting mold which is a very scary thing when discovered in your home. His recommendations were extremely appreciated and his follow-up and availability the best. Highly recommend!

My garage flat roof was in desparate need of replacement. The roof at the back was so water damaged that a significant hole could be seen once they got the old tar and gravel removed. The rotten wood damage was that bad. Tom and his crew are fantastic and that's why I had them back for this job after redoing my house shingles about 4 years ago. Tom goes out of his way to help you understand what is required, explains the process, is NEVER pushy, and just an all around great guy. He'll answers all questions and address any concerns. I highly recommend Tom and his crew. This is the ONLY roofing company you should hire!

After having 3 contractors in my home with disastrous results, Jason Gibson came in and immediately discovered the real problem. I am delighted and relieved that my plumbing problems are now over. Great service and Jason was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and skillful.

My washing machine drum stopped spinning and after research, I personnaly bought the part needed. Steve came on short notice which was great. The part was correct and Steve installed it and the spin cycle worked. A couple of hours later I ran a full load of laundry and my floor was completely flooded. Steve came out the next day and by phone told me everything was ok and to call a plumber. This is where the miscommunication came in. After 12 years of everything working fine, then after a repair, everything went wrong I started to ask questions that I needed to ask to eliminate other possibilities. I think I would have been ignornant not to ask questions. I felt he got defensive with me questioning his expertise. Regardless in the end I did call a plumber. More $$$. Although they did have to snake out the actual drain hose from the washing machine the main problem does appear to be with the plumbing. The plumber, who was great, really explained the possibilites clearly and although we still don't have an absolute clear understanding of where the problem is (appears to be a grading issue and wrong connection right now as the snaking of 20 feet was clear)I will be moving forward with the plumber. I want to apologize to Steve but also ask him to please understand that the coincidence of never having a plumbing issue in 12 years, to a repair job, then a major problem it was my right to question and explore other possibilities of his work. Now I'm just upset that I forgot to get Steve to help with my dishwasher! I hope this clears up some misunderstandings.

Tom and Mega City deserve a rating of 100! Tom and his crew reroofed my house after ripping off two old tired layers of singles. They showed up on time, and cleaned up throughly. However this reveiw is more about who Tom is. While they were refoofing they noticed that I did not have a flex hose that should have gone from my bathroom vent directly outside. My vent was just going into my attic causing condensation build up. Tom took it upon himself to return to my house and installed a flex hose on his own time and only charged me for the small amount of material. With anyone else they would have just walked away - but not Tom! While he was crawling through my attic he discovered countless empty cardbaord boxes thrown all thoughout the attic. He removed everyone and helped me bundle up all the cardboard waste. Tom was my hero!!! This man really cares about the workmanship of himself and crew and goes beyond any contractor I know to help make everything right. Thank you Tom. If you're looking to hire a roofer - Mega City Roofing is the only company you should hire! I am so grateful. Hire this company!!!!!

North Shore only does eavestroughing - and that means that they are truly experts in this field. They are not the "we can do everything" type of company which can be a huge mistake. Darren took the time to show and explain many different concerns and issues and followed up promptly on any questions I had. I did not go with the gutter protection for my own personal reasons, but rest assured that the quality of their eavestrough is top notch! I highly recommend this company.

I wanted to give them a 9.5 rating but can't quite figure out how to give the extra .5!!! I would have given this company a 10 but after they left and I had a real good look at the work and noticed that they either ran out of silver 'duct' tape or didn't quite finish sealing everything. Fortunetely I had some on hand and finished a very small section that needed attention. A very minor detail but sealing areas that were cut out of a furnance to make room for new equipment is important. Overall great company and would recommend them.

The Handyman Connection and I got off to a rocky start. I had one of his employees starting on Tues. and he wrote in his book Wed. Regretfully the date was not on the contract (I should have been more aware). Needless to say I took an entire day off work and no one showed up. Also because of the delay, the other contractors had to work around him when he was there. Then their was the disappointment of the work done. This was a dropped ceiling in the basement with special cuts around the window. I wanted the window fully exposed so the ceiling had to go up and over them. The end result was terrible. I contacted the Handyman Connection and the owner, Alex called me back asap. He came over to my house that night to inspect the work. This man STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE! He agreed and sent in another handyman with more experience with the special cuts. I believe his name was Don. He did an absolute EXCELLENT job and I'm thrilled. This company could have walked away but the owner didn't and wouldn't until the work was done to my satisfaction. If it weren't for the first part of work and issues I would have given Handyman Connection a 10 rating. I do recommend this company and will hire them again because they do stand behind their work. Well done.

A rating of 10 isn't high enough for Solutions Electrical. I own a 55 year old home and wanted SAFE electrical potlights installed in my basement along with a few other electrical needs. If there is one thing at the top of my list involving reno's I would have to say don't fool around with your electrical wiring in your home. I got at least 4 estimates before I found Solutions Electrical. Just because this company is the #1 electrical company with Holmes on Homes does NOT mean they are more expensive! Frank came out and explained everything (he's also one of the nicest people I've met). The quote was not the cheapest NOR was it the most expensive. It was a GREAT PRICE for total peace of mind that my house won't burn down due to a poor, non-caring, cut corner type of another contractor. Before the work started I would call with a question and he always took my concerns seriously and would answer all my questions. Mike and Dave came to my house right on time. Their work was exceptional and you knew they took great pride on doing a perfect job. These two men were so professional, cleaned-up everything, always smiling and were as nice as nice can be. What a pleasure!!! HIRE THIS COMPANY! They stand behind their work, they know what they are doing and your home WILL BE SAFE. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
