DO NOT USE. Completely unfair. wish I had checked homestars first. Having them come in costs 80 dollars but its "waived" if you use the service on that EXACT day. Which often isn't possible because they will need parts. Had them come in on a Friday they said dishwasher needed to be balanced out with wood, easy fix. Came back on the following Wed. I had given them my credit info prior to pay for the 80 dollars and okayed them taking the 200 to perform the labour. I wasn't home at the time my teenagers were, definitely a bad call on my part, but I have to work. Instead of doing the labour they quoted a new issue (need new seal @300$) and took the 200 for "labour"!! He was in and out within 20 minuets. Left without fixing anything.

The dishwasher itself works perfectly fine and I they had never asked us that so assume he thought it wasn't working because of the balancing issue. So he was not telling us the truth with the "new seal" new quote. In the process of trying to get some money back they offered 65.

Filed a complaint with all my supporting documents and they have responded now with a full refund.

Complaints and requests for refunds under the CPA can be done within ONE YEAR of paying the company. so if you have had a clear issue like this I suggest you do this.

My complaint is now on record and the government can only intervene if they continue to see a trend and if complaints are not resolved to the consumers satisfaction by the company.

Appliance Repairman are HUGE money grabbers who use underhanded tactics to take your money!! We had them come to our home 2 times with no work done, took our money and left us with a broken machine. The second visit the guy told me it was better to buy a new washer than to fix this one, as I pay him almost $400. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Find a better company, shop around.

I called Appliance Repairman after my 3yrs old Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator freezer worked perfect, but the fridge area kept loosing temperature rapidly. They told they were certified by Frigidaire, which turns to being so. In less than five minutes visit I was charged $361.60 + 1460.60 for a compressor. Two visits and was not able to repair my fridge. He did not reinstalled a part that removed because he couldn't remember how to replace it and premised to reinstall it when he came back to put in a new compressor. I spoke to their customer service after speaking Frigidaire that they misdiagnosed my fridge and if they could send someone else and they refused to. I made several calls to speak with a manager or owner and each time I was told that no one is available. Nor did they return the messages I left for them to call me. Got it repaired by a qualified appliance repair company for $237.30.

The send a tech out to your house and tell you they can fix your appliance. Only to find out the replacement parts are unavailable after 3 weeks of waiting for the parts on back order. The techs all have wifi credit card machines to take your money but the company won't refund money with the same efficiency. 6 weeks later, we are waiting for the "company cheque". Terrible manners on the customer service phone line. And if you want to speak to a manager, they give you a name but she is never in the office to talk with you about your concerns.

UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY! We had a repairman come out to "analyze" an issue with our Samsung washer that wouldn't drain. After less than 40 minutes of "analyzing", he declared that it could be the sensor, he reset it and off he went. Went to use the washer the very next day, and on the 1st load, the drain error sign came up again. Called the company, got no where. They said that the $380 we paid upfront was to "analyze" the machine. What did he analyze??? That it was broken??? A 2 year old could have told me that for FREE!!! Then they tell me a sensor is around $400 if we wanted a new one. So, almost $800 to fix a 9 year old machine! I DONT THINK SO!!! I'll go buy a new one before I give this "company" another cent. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE and go elsewhere!!! Please!!!!!

I had a repairmen out to look at my dishwasher, for an initial charge of $80. He explained to me my dishwasher was a good dishwasher worth fixing and he said he could service the damage components for $280. He charged me upfront before the fix but assured me he was confident the fix would work.

After servicing the dishwasher he told me it was working and all I had to do is plug wait 10 minutes and turn on the breaker.

I did this after he left and the dishwasher was still broken. After I called the company they told me another part was broken and it would cost $400 more to repair.

I'm disappointed that he went ahead and did the other repairs without determining that their was more significant issues, and also disappointed that the repairman left without telling me about the problem.

Just choose another repair service.
Technician wrongly diagnosed problem with my dryer. I told him what was wrong with it - he performed some tests, charged me the $327.70 and told me I needed a new control panel - $1199 + tax. BTW control panels almost never go on Bosch dryers AND this part sells for $458 from Bosch and takes less than an hour to install...
I attempted to contact Appliance Repairman multiple times - managers who never call back after promising to do so. FInally got through and asked them to send another technician for a 2nd opinion. They told me that this would be at my own expense!!!!
I then had an actual Bosch repairman come out - dryer needed 2 $50 sensors and a new lint filter - $200 installed.
Called Appliance Repair back and was told that they would not refund the $327.70 for their technicians wrongful diagnosis.
Choose another repair service - one where the technician can actually diagnose the problem CORRECTLY!!!

its a bunch of non professional and unethical people who just charge you the money in advance and never solve your problem.
For God sake avoid them otherwise you would loose money without your job being attempted

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!! I called about my leaking sub zero fridge, they came to the house, blew the lines and charged me $400.00. A week later the leak was still there, so I called again. They told me I had to replace the heater unit, which I did again, for a cost of another $400.00. Today my fridge is still leaking, they told me they would have to take the fridge to their warehouse to assess properly?? I have never heard of any repairman wanting to take away your heavy fridge. I called Kampen appliance - they took the serial number and called Sub Zero. They called me back the very next day and told me they would come out for FREE and replace the lines and as well replace all the light bulbs and filters, again for FREE!!! I've been told that they are NOT authorized to service sub zero, yet they told me they were. I am know out $800.00 plus the water damage caused to my kitchen cabinets and floor. I will be taking legal action against these people.

DO NOT USE 'APPLIANCE REPAIRMAN'! Read Homestars reviews...exorbitant charges and appliances remain broken. When we called to inquire about microwave repair, 'Appliance Repairman' told us that the service call would be the standard $80. to assess the scope of the repair...if we went ahead with repair, that $80. would be deducted from labor and parts incurred.
Three days later and we have paid $293+ labor for the service call. Micro not fixed. Today I am told it will be another $548.+ for parts and installation!!!!! Who in their right mind would pay that when it is more than the cost of a new comparable microwave!!! What happened to that $80. charge?!!! Taken by 'Appliance Repairman.'
