Vance,Shawn, and Julian were courteous, respectful and absolutely awesome. They made me feel relaxed and at ease with the way they conducted the move. They definitely worked hard but it was a smooth move. This was my first time using a moving company and I would use You move me again, especially for the peace of mind. The complimentary coffee and the housewarming gift a wonderful bonus! I would recommend this company for sure! After all the stress of getting to moving day I really appreciated how relaxed I felt when they showed up to start the move, from start to finish. Thanks guys!

Nick and his team (Chris, Sean and Carlos) were exceptional. They were fast, friendly and the way they joked and laughed with each other almost made me forget about the stress I had about downsizing and leaving my home. The phone call I received from Nick saying that they were on their way and how do I take my coffee was a special touch. It's the little things like this that stood out. They were all very appreciative about the lunch and drinks that I provided for them and couldn't thank me enough. But it was me who appreciated them, for all of their hard work and not to mention how well they got along with and admired my dogs (especially Jango, our 175 lb Alaskan Malamute). I was extremely grateful to Shawn Henry ( general manager ) and the business owner for allowing me to pay the balance of the bill the day after the move. You have no idea how much stress and relief was taken from me due to this kind gesture. Without any hesitation, I would hire You Move Me again if I needed to. They are not the cheapest, but the price of my move was more than fair for the quality and amount of work involved. You guys were great!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Sincerely, Anna

We hired you move me for our move last week. They arrived 5 hours late. Once the truck was loaded we had already missed our elevator booking for the our new place. They agreed to keep our stuff over night in the truck which we appreciated but had they not been late, we could have slept on our bed with our belongings. The next day they were likely booked and basically just through everything into the house disregarding labels for box placement. On arrival I forgot to mention that they also had promised to bring enough wardrobes for our clothing and wrap all of our larger art pieces neither of which was done. Moving is already stressful and this just made it that much harder. Rick especially was rude - on arrival he demanded that we pay $75 more an hour as they had to bring an extra worker to get the job done faster (reminder they were late!) and when we declined, he stormed out of the house.

The You move me crew moved my husband and I on January 12th and we were very pleased with the guys. We had 3 estimates from other well known moving companies but chose to go with You move me based on my communication with Sean the manager who went out of his way to deliver the estimate to us and highlight the included insurance coverage which both other companies had as additional fees.

1. Communication was excellent: Megan from the office called two days before the move to check-in and she followed up when the job was done. the guys who came to the house were well spoken and kept me informed throughout the day.

2 Professional staff: all clean-cut guys, the lead guy named Dan was very personable, very strong too! (Ask for Dan if you can, tremendous help for me on move day). The other 3 guys were polite, although I didn’t speak to them as much

3. I had two horrendous items to move and they were handled delicately with no issues – one very large marble, oblong table (I was very worried about this piece) and a motorized, sunken theater style leather sofa

4. Service was delivered as promised – I will mention that the quote I received from Sean the day of the estimate did not land exactly – I was quoted $1672 for a four man crew to compete the move in 8 hours and it took 9.5 hours – so my final bill was slightly higher – but the guys worked their butts off and we hit a couple of snags that we couldn’t have predicted getting our stuff into our new place. Mother nature was not kind to us that day!

So I did a lot of research before making the choice to go with You move me and probably chose this route based on the dollar number of my original estimate, although I was aware that the estimate was strictly based on time. I was given one flat rate price that came in cheaper than my final bill but after you add in the extra insurance charge it was likely a wash.

I give these guys a 10 because I am pleased with the move and please share the praise with Dan so he knows we were happy with it all

Booking and getting an estimate for the move was seamless and professional. Three days before the move the office sent through a revised quote, noting that it was going to be 3 movers not 2 as originally discussed. As the estimate came out to nearly the same I didn't think much of it.
On moving day I didn't get the coffee they made a point about mentioning and confirming how took it. It's just a coffee, but don't over promise and under deliver.
The movers were careful for the most part. There was a box of cds tipped over and spilled out onto the sidewalk - but otherwise our 10x10 storage unit was emptied, loaded and delivered in 2.5 hours in total. The movers had me sign for the job and we settled the bill with an amount very close to the estimate given to me the day before.
The driver called back 30 minutes later and said "there was an error with your bill, it was meant to $240 more" and that he needed to charge it to my card. I called the office to better understand what was going on.
It turns out the moving crew adjusted formula when they had me sign for the job (listing only 2 movers) which is why it looked similar to what I was quoted. Shawn (office manager?) walked me through the simple math twice to explain why I needed to pay another $240, but never once acknowledging that the information I was given a few days before was wrong. No apology, or "sorry for the confusion". Somehow I was meant to feel that it was my error?
They are expensive for what you get. Make your own coffee.
If you decide to use them - double check the math on the quote $190x2 does not equal $258.

The communication both prior & during the move is great! I also really liked the full explanation that the mover provided me prior to the start of the move, which left me with no unanswered questions. The free wardrobe boxes we're a great add to my move & saved me a lot of time and effort on both the outbound and inbound parts of my move.

Absolutely the worst movers in Toronto. DO NOT hire them. The actual movers are very nice and really sweet, young people, but it is their office and the owner of the company that are in it for the money and for the extra payouts at the end of the day. We paid an additional $1300 at the end of the day....even though we had a contract! And this doesn't include the extra U-Haul truck WE HAD to rent AND the additional moving company to help us move our stuff. An extra cost of $1000 on top of the $2500...so a grand total of $3500 to move a 2000 sq ft house. We told the company exactly what we were moving and they still short changed us with not sending the right amount of trucks. I have photos and eye witnesses who will vouch for the craziness of this move. Don't believe all the hype behind this company. The management is terrible and they are in it to take your money!! pay extra and get good movers!

We were very happy with You Move Me, especially with Andrew, Rick and Oswin, who moved us on April 8th. From the time they walked into the door (with a coffee no less; nice touch!) to the time they left (earlier than estimated!) they were professional, courteous, and hard-working. They were also extremely efficient while at the same time very careful with our belongings. I should also mention that it poured rain on them, and they kept on smiling all day.
Moving day can be such a stressful experience, and thanks to the guys, I actually enjoyed the day! I definitely recommend You Move Me to anyone.
