I phoned CAS to enquire about a dishwasher, and within 5 minutes of speaking with Trevor, I KNEW I wanted to deal with him. He was helpful, pleasant and knowledgable. I went ahead and ordered it over the phone and paid a deposit on my card. Trevor advised me that I could pay the balance on line and have someone else pick up the item..
Fast forward.... Today I received a call from Trevor, sadly the unit missed the truck. I received the same phone call from the customer service department. It wouldn't be in today as originally promised. I was OK with that, and cancelled my third party pickup for today. I then attempted to pay the balance on line with the link provided and nothing would work. I emailed customer service 3 times and their solution was to go to the store to pay. Um... no, that's why I shop on line! So I called them to sort out the billing item, I was told that the item was there for pick up today. Say what??? So having cancelled the third party, I thought perhaps they would step up to the plate and make their mistake right and deliver the item to me at a reduced delivery cost since I had cancelled my private arrangements. No such chance. So I am back where I started. Can't pay the bill on line, and don't want to pay for shipping.. go to the store..... the usual line....
Fast forward... Talked to Trevor again, and explained my frustrations. Within minutes, he solved the problem. I am a very happy camper.... He did the right thing.
The bottom line is - great prices, great service, above and beyond from Trevor, but try to avoid the customer service department!! If you plan on having someone else pick it up for you, don't do it! You will have the same frustrations. It only works if YOU pick it up, because you have to show your credit card at time of pick up.
If you are paying for delivery, then the online purchase and balance payment works fine.
