We decided to get the LG WM8000HVA TurboWash Series Front Load Steam Washer 6.0 Cu,Ft and LG DLEX8000V Front Load Electric Steam Dryer, 9.0 Cu.Ft. We bought these on sale in December and these particular models were discontinued. I was inform by another competitor that the Canadian Appliance Source's discontinued pricing on these was below cost and recommended to buy them, so we did.
We requested for morning and early afternoon delivery for January 7. I got a call that delivery was only available that afternoon that day so we reschedule for January 13. I called on January 13 to confirm delivery and due to a misunderstanding was rescheduled again for January 15,2016.
They delivered the wrong washer and dryer set. I asked the driver if there was another washer and dryer in the back of the truck. A look of horror came over his face and he said 'No.' I thought he was joking at first. The LG's I ordered in store had a steel front, grey sides and square glass doors and even though they were heavily discounted they were still about $1000 more than the smaller white ones that arrived. He informed me that he had just installed them in the previous house an hour away. Looking panicked, he called the store up and confirmed that the previous customer was supposed to receive the smaller white set but that owner didn't say anything. My old washer and dryer were returned back into my home. An hour and a half later, they returned with the last set of LG's store wide. Out my old set went out again and in came the new dryer until I noticed dents and scratches on both fronts. I was offered a $150 reduction to make up for the scratches and dents or the 2016 version at cost but it was still around $650 more. I was undecided about the offer, so I sent them back for the time being and my old washer and dryer returned back into the house again.
Because of liability, the driver/installer was not allowed to reinstall our old washer and dryer but did hook up the venting. I attempted to reinstall my old washer and dryer but because of limited space I ended up ripping the venting. Our old, semi-functioning washer and dryers were moved and bounced up and down the stairs so much that they are now unlevelled and the metal cover casing on the washer now shifts off it's base if I attempt to push it into place. I don't dare use them as I can tell it's now damaged. It was laughable at first but now I'm just upset and still not knowing what to do. At this point I've missed out on last years model clearance pricing and my family's dirty laundry is piling up.
The staff seems nice and were very apologetic.
For medical reasons (LG's are certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America), size and pricing were the reasons we choose this set.
I have no idea if the other customer still has my set and my husband was not keen on taking the damaged one received.
Unfortunately, this is my first bad review. I really hated to do it.
** Update January 29 They got the other washer and dryer back. Store Manager was apologetic offered me a $250 discount on the set as these too were scratched up.
Delivery was scheduled for any time TODAY except for the time between 2pm and 4pm (real unavailability was between 2:40pm and 4pm in case they ran late and to accommodate set up). Drivers run late as expected and calls me at 2:15pm and tell me they are going to arrive at 2:45pm. I inform them that I will not here and previously had instructed as such. Delivery manager calls me and tell me he was not informed of these arrangements. I told them they informed as I was in store when the Store Manager called in to confirm delivery availability and times. Delivery Manager tells me he doesn't want his men waiting around for 2 hours and then tells me they are right outside my door to deliver. I look out the window. They are not there. Next delivery availability apparently is now Monday, Feb.1, 2016. I highly doubt I will get them on Monday. With all the problems I've been having with delivery, the Delivery Manager was unsympathetic and would not accommodate.
Update # 2. Availability is now Thursday, Feb. 4 2016.
I attempted to look for these washers and dryers elsewhere but have been informed that they too are sold out.

Update # 3. Got the Delivery date moved up to Wednesday, Feb 3, 2016. Sometime between Jan. 29th and Feb. 3, the washer was sent to someone else. Yes, it happened again. Luckily, the Manager was able to locate another for me and it arrived at 1pm.
5 minutes after the installers left, I got a call from the Appliance Delivery. They informed me that they were on their way to deliver my washer and dryers...WHAT!!!??
Just happy to finally get our washer and dryers.
