Gas fireplace cleaning

I had homes come in to clean a fireplace that wasn't working, the technician that was supposed to be qualified vacuumed the fine soot, which poured but the back of the vacuum ruining my main floor, and emergency cleaning crew was sent in, it took 5 days to attempt to clean the walls, furniture, drapes, windows etc. Homes refused to come back and fix the fireplace, and after many calls to managers and directors I was given a lot of unfulfilled promises. After 6 months the still haven't dealt with the original problem and another company was used. The walls and furniture will never be the original colour.

I was introduced to Holmes Heating at the fall home show and was impressed by the time taken with me. the Sales follow up this year was helpful and none threatening. The installation crew showed up on time and were polite and cheerful. A problem discovered after the installation was corrected (at I think considerable expense to them) without argument.

Remove old oil furnace and tank, install natural gas line and new furnace and hot water tank

Holmes Heating was reliable and provided good service. They sub-contracted the removal of the old oil tank, but did the rest of the work themselves (install gas line from meter to house, remove old furnace, install new furnace and hot water tank). Installers were knowledgable and friendly. Job completed on the day promised with no issues. Perhaps not the cheapest, but highly recommended.
