Over the phone he gave me a quote of $200 to remove and replace a broken lock on a storage unit door. It took 20 minutes start to finish. He then increased the price to $300 when it was time to pay. He installed a lock that did not even cover the old lock (cheap interior household lock not a commercial grade lock) so it could be opened by simply accessing the tumblers with a piece of wire. It has to be replace. FYI - They have terrible reviews on Yelp and BBB.

George came highly recommended by my relator and interior designer. I thought that given all the accolades he would be very expensive. But I got several quotes and George's was the best value. George was on site with his crew for the entire job. They did extra coats when required and did not charge extra. The wallpaper was really well done. They also did other things at no extra charge (hanging large art pieces, caulking after wallpapering, changing chandelier bulbs) that I really appreciated. They were punctual, vey tidy, and did an excellent job. Really great people who are honest, professional and take pride in their work. A fantastic experience!

Craig was fantastic! Explained what he found in detail, the pros and cons of each option, and carefully explained exactly what I was paying for. I thought my A/C was working fine, but Craig found it was only operating at 33%! They found some of the duct work had never even been connected. Craig was punctual, professional, and gave me lots of advice about balancing the system. He took his time and did a thorough assessment and fixed my A/C! It was a great customer experience! Milton, Omar and Jordan replaced my Reliance gas water heater rental with a Roy Inch rental. They were great! Called to tell me their arrival time (exactly as booked), laid down runners to keep my house clean, and did the work in exactly the time estimated. They explained everything extremely well and I feel relieved that if I ever need a service call for the rental I am in good hands! Jason went above and beyond the call of duty doing a plumbing job for me. Everything went smoothly on the job, and then we walked around my new house to talk about ALL the plumbing. He pointed out some things I never would have know, and gave me maintenance tips for my appliances. I have had three fantastic experiences with this company. Excellent customer service is clearly their top priority. And the way they work together is commendable. They exchanged information so I did not have to ensure each team knew what was going on. They knew who had been there previously and what work had been completed. All the services were completed seamlessly. They exceeded my expectations and provided excellent value! Highly recommended!

Have had great experience with Lawn Savers. We buy their annual service program. Our lawn is MUCH improved. We have had the grub treatment as well, which has eliminated skunk and raccoon digging :) Great customer service whenever I call them. Highly recommended!

Chris responded to our service call when our furnace stopped working. He was fantastic! Super nice guy, professional, polite, and obviously experienced. My husband likes to know all the details about the HVAC system and he learned tons from Chris, who explained everything in detail. He arrived promptly, told us what it would cost, when it could be repaired, and provided a band-aid solution until the new part arrived so we had heat before he left. He also gave us great maintenance tips for our system and the HEPA filter.

The interior lights in our GE Profile fridge kept flickering on and off. I called the company that GE subcontracts their Warranty work to (Mabe Canada), and was told it was past the warranty date. I asked if they could recommend an appliance repair company in Oakville. They gave me two names, one of which was Les, owner of KCL. Over the phone, I was very emphatic that if the fridge had to be moved, he could not damage the solid oak hardwood floor underneath (new, in mint condition). He said he had a 'slider' to protect the floor. He showed up for the appointment without a slider. When I asked about the slider he said a previous customer 'would not return it'. That seemed weird. He diagnosed the problem and said he had to completely replace the 'mother board' (needed to move the fridge). He had the part in his truck and asked if he could do the replacement without the slider. I said absolutely not since there was no slider and the floor could not be damaged. (Should have realized he was not listening to me and really didn't care.) So he came back two days later with a 'slider'. It looked pretty flimsy and dirty (mistake #1) and I asked if it would protect the floor. He said yes the slider would be fine, "but there are no guarantees". He did not have me empty the fridge (mistake #2), and I watched him move the fridge using the slider. The wheels never left the slider, so I felt pretty good. He called to me after he was done, and asked if I wanted 'the good news or the bad news'. The slider had not stopped the fridge wheels from gouging the floor. There were two perfect parallel channels/divots across the floor where the wheels had tracked! I was furious. He was completely calm, shrugged his shoulders and said, "You can claim it on your house insurance". My husband is in the insurance industry, and I knew we would only make a claim for something serious. I said he should claim it on his insurance, and he refused. Said he never guaranteed there would not be damage. He took no responsibility for what he did. And he wanted to be paid! I said no way until we found out what it would cost to repair the floor. He agreed to return the cost of the replacement part, but I knew it would cost more for the repair. So we gathered all the information and got quotes to fix it. We had to buy a carton of hardwood ($120 - not a perfect match as they don't make the same premium grade anymore), get quotes from repair people ($500 - $800 depending how many boards are replaced), and we have to hire a specialty moving company to move the fridge out and back in (est. $500) because the hardwood repair people will not take the responsibility. This is well over $1,500.00 with taxes! When we told Les the total estimated cost he refused to pay anymore than the $408.00 we paid for the repair. Les claimed he had never had this problem in decades of doing this, but he was so calm and quick to tell me to claim it on my insurance, I doubt that is true. And now I know why he made sure to say there were no guarantees. But I trusted him as an experienced professional that he would not take any chances damaging the floor knowing how adamant I was about communicating my expectations from the beginning. My husband tried to reason with him and asked him to put it through his insurance, but he refused. Then he got nasty saying it was a cheap floor, so it was our fault. I tried to contact a senior person at Mabe Canada where I originally got his name from. I could not get access to anyone. I even tried the BBB in the Maritimes where they are based. All I wanted to do was get them to take KCL off their recommended vendor list to spare other people the heartache, stress, and expense of what we have been through. Watch out for this guy!!

Caroline, the owner, toured my house and promised me they were a different kind of cleaning service. She quoted me $150.00 + HST for 4 hours, which was more than any other service I have ever had. She said they would take their time as they pay their staff more than other companies. When they were done, my husband made them come back into the house and rewash the kitchen floor and countertops, which were not clean. They did not vacuum before they damp mopped the hardwood floors (seriously?) throughout the house, and the dirty water left a film over all the hardwood. Same with the marble tiles on the walls and floors in the bathroom. I had to re-wash it all. I asked one crew member whether they had dusted the shelf ledges in our dressing room, which is specifically told Caroline I wanted done, and she assured me it was. Later when I checked, none of it was dusted. Taps were not cleaned, etc.. I was told someone would be calling me the later in the day of the service or next day, but no one has called, and that was 1 1/2 weeks ago. I guess I am too 'picky'. They were in a big hurry to move onto the next job, despite all the promises. Caroline, you should 'walk the talk'. I was very disappointed not to get a follow up courtesy call. So here is your feedback.

Irena came to our house to give us a quote. It sounded great. She said they only use Norwick products. Told me she's is a single Mom, and works 9am - 3pm so she can be home for her kids. She promised she would be more picky than we ever could be. We booked a day and time. When they were 30 minutes overdue we called. Personal problems, would be over in 15 minutes. They arrived and the work was unacceptable. They left greasy streaks all over the hardwood floors, granite countertops, and marble shower. My husband had to have them go back over a number of things. When I got home, I found they had broken the rolling shade that covers our patio doors. I called Irena immediately, and she denied it. But strangely remembered seeing 'a white piece' near the window. I asked what she had done with it - no answer. Vacuumed it up? Oh, and then my husband told me she was driving a 2012 BMW. She clearly did not need the work!

We found Danny and Chuck on Home Stars. Our contractor had done some bad roof work, and our house had a history of roof leaks. Danny provided us with lots of information about our roof and what needed to be done. He explained it in layman's terms, and even provided his Certificate of Insurance info. Before Danny left, I had a written quote and booked an appointment. I did get two other quotes, one from another highly rated company on Home Stars; but they told me I had to re-shingle my entire roof and it was three times as much as Danny quoted! Chuck and his team arrived promptly the day of our appointment, and explained exactly what they would be doing. They were professional, efficient, and resolved every roofing issue we had. They cleaned up the yard (and our neighbor's) like they were never there! We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Danny and Chuck. Great service and great value!

From start to finish, these guys were fantastic to deal with! We received a prompt quote for our move. Hussein was a pleasure to deal with and very responsive to all our questions and emails. Our team, Aslam, Andrej, and Evan were amazing! Professional, prompt, very hard-working, and even made suggestions and gave us reminders throughout the day to make the move easier.
