Seems there is a wide range of quotes you can get, even when you only call out top rated Electricians. There's many reasons for that, overhead etc. I think most of us just care about 2 things, is this a good qualified electrician and do they charge a reasonable fee? Kyle is both of those! Not only did he ask about half as much as my 1st quote but he even pointed out at least one of the jobs the other quote insisted on, isn't really necessary and explained why. Kyle did great work on rewiring a not so well wired line to a major appliance, as well as a much needed upgrade of our panel from 100A to 200A. Highly recommend!

Top notch company, very honest and no high pressure tactics at all. I think something unique I could share is how one of our key asks for the 3 companies we interviewed was if our expensive blinds could be reinstalled after we change all our windows. One company said no, the other said maybe, only Panorama (specifically we worked with the extremely knowledgeable Otto) explained why they can guarantee this in writing and why most others cannot (has to do with higher level of skilled labor). We also discussed the many options there are for low-E coatings on the windows, argon filled layers etc. We covered the many aspects/choices to getting new windows these days, I had done my research and Otto confirmed what I knew and in some cases went beyond it. The workers were polite/professional and cleaned up as best they could. Nobody is perfect so a few small mistakes were made in the process but all were fixed without issue. We will definitely call upon Panorama in the future and happily recommend them to our friends & family!

After exterior renovations all summer, our windows were very dirty. I saw good reviews for Window Cleaning People and gave them a try. Right off, Eugene was quick to get back to me and was very friendly. The price for exterior window cleaning was quite fair. Eugene showed up at the agreed upon time and with little intrusion to my day, did a great job cleaning our windows. I highly recommend this company, would use them again.

We've been waiting for a number of years to finally get to this major reno, luckily and with Poolcraft's smart planning, we bought most of the expensive items last year when we locked in with them for this project. The way we found Poolcraft (PC) was thru their very high ratings on Homestars & Google Reviews, also their website is beautiful (completed projects etc.) As this is a big ticket item, I'll try and provide a thorough review for others looking to make this major investment in their home. We worked with PC, Stonecraft (Landscaping) and Timbercraft (Carpentry). We enjoyed working with everyone, but a special shout out to Rick (Sales) and Chris (Pool project mgr), as they were truly top notch individuals! Rick has a very calming and reassuring presence, Chris provided an email update daily on what was done and the plan for tomorrow! I will try and upload a few pics, the work done was - Julie helped us come up with a wonderful design for the project - Pool and large patio - Floating steps down to pool with garden on each side - Putting green with astro turf surrounding it - Moving stairs from right side of the deck to left - Flagstone front porch, garden and driveway banding We were supposed to start work Apr 1, but due to weather and other issues the work didn't start till May. The landscaping team who had the most work to do, were doing their best but got delayed a few times due to many other concurrent projects. As such we finished in mid-Aug but these days that's par for the course. Discussing details of the plan, especially when changes were required was not stressful, everyone had great ideas and we relied on their vast experience. I didn't have to spend much time chasing after people, and also only once or twice was anything not 100% correct, that I had to work with the team to correct. For a project this size, this is pretty amazing. We had new grass put in, in the 1st week after it was in, looked fairly brown but the team reassured me with the sprinkler system running it should come back and if it didn't they had my back...it did in fact come back beautifully! So all in all, I can 100% recommend PC for a project like this, they are definitely one of the top companies in this field! I cannot say it is cheap but if you want to minimize stress and headaches, and $$ spent in the future repairing items then it's best to go with a top company like PC! Finally I'll add, we also had a good experience with their pool support team, they explained why our concerns with elephant covers are unfounded as long as you have a reputable company install them and they did a great job closing the pool!

I chose Invincible Garage due to their high ratings and as usual the ratings were spot on. Aryan and team were the utmost professionals throughout the process and the final price was reasonable. I showed them a picture of the denim polyaspartic floor finish and the team delivered with exactly what I was looking for. They arrived and finished on time, cleaned up after themselves as well. They are quite busy so book early!

I found Joe on Homestars via his high rating and as usual the rating reflects accurately. Joe was a pleasure to work with, great with explaining what would be the best way to fix my driveway (we ended up repaving with double layer) and answering all my questions. Joe and his team arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves and finished the job in good time. Highly recommend!

My wife, after a bad experience with a previous plumber, wanted to find a highly rated reputable plumber to help her folks. They have a whole house water filtration system, the shoddy plumber who installed it did not give us a warranty on his work and over time the system started leaking from various components. My wife called 2 Bro's Plumbing, they have a great system, they asked for photos etc. so they can do an assessment for free rather than charge say $100 to come out for just an assessment. They then came out to work on the leaks, quickly they realized the fittings were just loose, and tightened them. It was so easy to fix, they adjusted our bill to match! No leaks since! We're very happy with their approach, and their fair billing practices...they also very polite which is so important especially these days! We will be calling them again should we need a plumber!

Others have posted pictures of Lifetime sheds so I'll skip that, but I did want to commend Matthew and his team for doing such a great job! I already had an 8x10 foundation, and I had purchased a Lifetime shed so the job was to simply install and remove an old shed. The workers were polite, they worked hard and they packaged up everything very nicely. Not that there are many choices for shed installation but The Shed Installer Guys price was very fair, and I saw a bit of a low score on responsiveness...well that is fairly accurate but it wasn't so slow to be an issue and I think they are just very busy. Thanks for a job well done!

I'm usually very good at finding things on line but searching for someone that can repair builder windows was proving very difficult. So I was so happy when I ran across this great company and I saw the great ratings on Homestars. They got back to my questions quickly, the pricing is fair and they did great work. We also had a screen replaced on 1 window. Definitely a good one to bookmark for the future!

A few months ago, my 4yo was playing near the dishwasher and fell on the open door...this dislodged it from it's secure holding. Ever since, I'd have to pack it carefully as it would tend to tip forward! I called Top Tech since their reviews are so good, they did not disappoint. Fast & friendly service, they came to fix quickly and at a reasonable cost. Thanks Top-Tech for the great work!

We've had an issue that was getting worse in our 12yo home, we thought it was a power bar or something connected to it but were able to rule all those out. I then suspected it was the way the original Electrician installed the outlets. I researched the best Electricians on Homestars, they are not cheap but you get what you pay for as Zac and the people at Captain Electric were Professionals thru and thru. They accommodated us by wearing a mask, they were able to come very quickly, they explained the process/set costs, what the issue was and exactly how they would fix it. It made sense to me, they replaced all the outlets connected in that series. Worked like a charm, no more circuit breaker trips! Thanks, Captain Electric!

My Hunter Douglas roller blind detached from the housing, I needed it fixed, clearly this wasn't going to be Kevin's biggest or most important job but he treated as such! He is very knowledgable in his craft, which sadly these days is rare and he was very kind and generous with his time when he dropped by with the repaired blind, helping me put it back and configuring it just right. Thanks again Kevin, I'm happy to recommend you to my friends and family!

Great work and attention to detail, very meticulous! First we did have a bit of a communication malfunction for the date of the work but Greg was very good with offering a discount for my troubles. Next, the work took about 5.5 hours which definitely show's it is a painstaking process. I did have a bit of a missunderstanding of 1 aspect of the proposed project but that's likely do to me being a so busy and not listening carefully enough. Thanks Greg, great work, you deserve the 10/10! Homestars reviews came thru again for me to find a great craftsman!

This is a professional, customer oriented company from top to bottom! My wife booked the appointment with no issues, they had a reminder call for us...the whole works. Then when they were on site, they were very professional but friendly at the same time (our 4 yo daughter likes to chat :-). All windows were cleaned spotless, even Garage windows which I forgot about! They did mention it's very hard to 100% perfectly clean out the mold stuck in corners of windows...I know this as I've tried myself (I keep the humidity quite high in winter)! We have 20 foot ceilings in the living room with some cathedral type windows, they brought in the ladders and handled those as well no problem! Finally, they just called to follow up on our satisfaction so as I said a great company from top to bottom!

We heard Pestend was one of the best companies for dealing with Mice (here on Homestars but elsewhere as well) so we gave them a try as this was the first time we had mice in our home so we were quite concerned. The first thing I liked was that they got back to me super quick, by phone first but I was busy at work so I couldn't talk on the phone but they followed up by email as well which is perfect! They were able to come out the next morning, where I met the technician Sajad who was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained how the bait works, showed where the best spots to place it are and check everywhere inside and out for signs of infestation and/or entry...luckly for us we seem to just have a couple, I felt much better after a professional confirmed that plus now we have a 6 month warranty on any mice issues! Great work, at a fair price...will call on PestEnd again, highly recommended!

I hired Gary because of the great reviews he got here, in the past we've hired handymen without seeing any reviews and regretted it sadly. Gary lives up to his reputation! He was prompt in getting back to my many emails, with lots of detail and good suggestions. On site, he was friendly, courteous and meticulous with all the varied work we assigned. Most of it was caulking, roughly 25 windows, some of which he had to remove old caulk. He resealed 2 bathroom sinks, installed a door closer on one door...etc All this and he even finished 1 hour ahead of schedule and did a great job with a bit less material than budgeted which helped make my cheque smaller!
