Gary was at my house on 2 separate occasions.
I fist called him a few days in advance of my windows replacement to take down all the blinds. He did this fairly effortlessly, kept the blinds in order, so that they could be put back afterwards and not be mixed up. He arrived on time, was courteous and tidy. He brought all his tools, as well as a vacuum cleaner, so that he could thoroughly clean after he was done. I was home during this visit, so it was easily observed.
During this visit I also had a long list of other items I needed to fix around the house, from toilet tanks, through light fixtures and wardrobe doors, to sink taps. He assessed what he needed to bring to repair these for the next visit. He suggested some good ways to fix the taps, like contacting the manufacturers online to get new cartridges for free, so that I wouldn't need to go a lot out of pocket. So he is cost conscious for the home owner, and suggests an unbiased solution to try first, before starting purchasing new equipment.
The second visit was a few days after the window installation. Gary arrived extra early before I left for work. After spending several hours with him during the first visit, I felt completely comfortable having him work alone. He installed the blinds back and fixed a number of items outstanding from the first visit. Again, he was very tidy.
There was a glitch with two of the blinds, that no longer fit into the frames, as some of the new frames were a tiny bit larger than the old ones, which matters with fitted blinds. He had a very creative solution where he took the caps of the winding mechanism in order to fit them into the frames. So simple and smart.
I would definitely book Gary again. Thanks, Gary!
