My toilet hasn't been flushing properly for months. Sometimes the bowl empties fully, and sometimes it does not. I tried replacing the flush and fill valves on my own, but that didn't work, so I called Waterworks to come take a look. It was very easy to book this appointment. The woman I spoke to was very clear and polite. My appointment was not an emergency, and so I could wait for the next day. They emailed and texted me about when they would show up. The Waterworks guys were also very clear and polite. They made sure to put covers over their boots, and they explained my options and prices carefully. They saw right away that there was a clog somewhere. First they tried snaking the toilet, but that didn't work. They removed the toilet and found that it was quite gunky so they cleaned it thoroughly and that seemed to do the trick. I had a bunch of questions about what they were doing as they worked, which they answered courteously. The next day, I received a call from Waterworks to make sure that the toilet was still working fine, which it is. All in all, I would use Waterworks again, and I would recommend them.

I wanted to change two older windows in my house. I called a number of different companies, and Optima's prices were the most competitive. Yulia, the sales rep, was excellent: she was really friendly and not too pushy. She gave us different options for the type of windows, and she helped us to get what we wanted. I've been in contact with her a number of times in the past weeks as we've waited for the windows to be ready and to organize the installation, and Yulia always responds quickly and politely. The installation was yesterday. The guys were polite, on time, and clean. Even though it was rainy and miserable outside, they did not track any water or dirt inside. The windows are very nice and seem to be working fine. They are definitely easier to clean, and they are so much better at keeping cold air out than the older windows I replaced, so I'm happy. I recently had a very good experience with Tropical. I called a number of other companies for quotes to add to the blow-in insulation that I already had, and they all charged a minimum of $1000 plus tax regardless of the square footage of my attic (about 500 square feet). Tropical, however, gave me a much lower price ($700 plus tax) based on the size of my house. What really sold me, besides the price, was the consultation. Gary was very thorough and polite when he came to inspect my house. I made him aware that I wanted my attic done as part of the Enbridge rebate. Gary double-checked his measurements to make sure that this job would qualify for the rebate, and he had me double-check with the energy auditor. It's all going to work out, but it was nice that Gary didn't just simply book the job without making sure that it was exactly what I wanted. The work was done today. The Tropical team was on time, courteous, and clean, and now I have R-60 in my attic before winter comes. Great! I would definitely recommend Tropical.

Convertible installed a new high-efficiency furnace and a new tankless water heater (gas) a few weeks ago, and it was overall a very positive experience. I had a few companies give me estimates, but I went with Convertible because of how Mike, the sales rep, was very clear and straightforward with my options. He laid out what he thought my house needed without trying to push only the most expensive options. On the day of the installation, the guys were very polite and clean. I live in an older semi with a shared driveway, and so it took some careful planning to figure out where to vent both the furnace and the tankless. The installers gave me a few different options and showed me exactly what each would look like before they started, which was very helpful. They also made sure to seal up the old furnace vent (through a chimney) with foam so that cold air could not get back down, which I appreciated. So far, the tankless has been working great, but I have not yet had to use the furnace. I have used also Convertible in the past for my air conditioner and for servicing, and I recommend them to others.

I was really satisfied with the work that was recently done at my house by Umbrella. From the initial estimate, to the scheduling, to the work itself, the Umbrella staff were on time, polite, clean, and capable. Vlad made sure to inform me in detail about all of the possible options, including the various prices, so I felt comfortable with the decisions I made. My basement already feels less musty! I would definitely recommend Umbrella for waterproofing jobs.

This is the second time I've had Navin to work on an electrical project at my home, and I was again very satisfied. I had a lot of substandard wiring in my basement, and Navin went through it all very carefully to update it and bring it up to code. He explained everything to me very carefully when he gave me the estimate, and there were no surprises or added costs when he was finished. I will definitely consult with Navin on any future projects at my house.

I was very impressed with the recent work that Navin did at my house. He was on time, professional, and clean. He was also very friendly and approachable in answering all of my questions about the work he was doing. I don't have a lot of background knowledge in electrical jobs, so it was nice to learn from him. I had Navin in to work on an outlet and range hood that weren't working. It seemed like a simple job at first, but it became more complicated with the problem turned out to be in the electrical panel. Navin solved this issue efficiently, and even though it took longer than expected, he only charged me for an hour because we had agreed on that ahead of time. I will definitely use NB Electric in the future!

I hired Stone Selex to put a thin brick veneer on a wall in our dining room (approximately 100 square feet). Lucas, the project manager, responded quickly to my emails and helped my wife and I choose the type and colour of bricks we liked. Adam, the mason, was professional, punctual, and clean. We're really happy with how the wall looks, and we only lost an inch.

A section of bricks at the front of my house was crumbling. Sam's quote was way below some other masons I contacted. He was very polite, and he completed the work in a timely manner. I am very happy with how it looks now, and I would definitely use Sam again in the future. Thanks!

When my cat was stuck in a neighbour's tree for 24 hours, I was at a loss to figure out how to get her down. Joseph was very polite on the telephone when I explained my problem, and he was able to come help me within a few hours. He showed real care for my cat's welfare, and he was able to help her get down safely. I recommend Heritage Tree Care for their animal rescue service.
