Technician John P. arrived exactly on time for our annual air conditioning system maintenance. He was extremely thorough and efficient and clear with his findings. Because I was needed to change the thermostat, I was present when he discovered a leak in our 16 year old system. He didn't just discover it, he persisted to find the extent of it and whether it was continuous and spent a good deal of time checking and rechecking. When he brought in the paperwork he had some suggestions for a replacement. We had used Mersey before with our furnace which we had purchased through Costco. John very quickly filled in a Costco A/C purchase, set a date for delivery, and gave us the same price he had previously quoted. On top of that Costco gives a 10% shop card so we win all way around. There was absolutely NO pressure on us to buy. I had witnessed the leak so knew this was necessary. John could not say how long our present one would last but outlined the scenarios that would occur as the leak progressed - and our system is old so leaking Freon is not good for the environment. The very next day, Stephen and Shane arrived as scheduled to remove the leaking A/C and install our new one. They were completely courteous, respectful of our home and worked diligently. They removed the old unit, installed a new concrete platform for the new unit and, in addition, they installed an outside breaker (we did not have one) and we will be getting new panel breakers to bring us up to code. Work areas both inside and out were left spotless. They showed us the new system and assisted with the paperwork. The whole process was efficient and quick. Mersey is a GREAT company to use for HVAC. As of now, they expertly installed our furnace, water heater and central air conditioner, provide hassle free yearly maintenance and are always pleasant and easy to work with.
