Ordered online from CAS and got delivery 2 days later! Delivery service was top notch and buying online was very easy.

I had ordered a standup GE freezer back in September. Delays upon delays, no fault of supplier though. Just manufacturer unavailability. Great company follow up, and eventually a solution so I could get a standup freezer. I cook and bake a lot for family members, etc. And I needed a second freezer. CAS came through. I now have another freezer, not my first choice, but I do have another. Thank you for the great service!

After 'googling' and reading Bytown's reviews, I decided to give them a try. I am so glad I did. Response to my enquiry (by Miguel) was very quick and professional. Service was performed less than one week after initial inquiry. Jacques and his colleague were very knowledgeable, shared info and responded to questions. Work was done efficiently and again, in a professional manner. I highly recommend these people to anyone who needs duct cleaning.

I recently moved from Russell to Orleans and used First Rate Movers. I found this company after doing research on movers, and after I found First Rate Movers, I just knew I HAD to use them. I did and they did not disappoint! This has been my best moving experience ever, with the best possible crew ever. Everything was handled in an extremely professional/courteous manner, from start to finish. I would not hesitate to use them again.

After checking the Home Stars website, I called Dave Marcotte Foundations (DMF), on April 4, 2017 after I found water had seeped into my basement. I was frantic. Despite being extremely busy, Dave took the time to calm me right down and explained what I should be doing. I was so floored! He didn’t know me from Adam, and he was willing to help by telling me what to do to prevent more flooding? Unheard of in my book, so I knew right then and there that there was no other contractor for me. DMF had to fix my foundation, as no other would do. He does not normally service my area (Russell, ON), but as luck would have it, he had received other calls from other people nearby and said he would call back if he had sufficient business this way to warrant his venturing out. True to his word, he called back and an appointment was made for an estimate. He came, looked at the problem and did a site recon (per my request) and suggested other ‘improvements’. In short order I received an estimate, which I readily accepted. When time came to do the work, Dave sent an email the day before to confirm they would come the next day at 8:00am. His crew and the material provider showed up before time, and the work began in earnest. His crew works fast and efficiently. All the guys are polite, personable and very professional. Dave even stopped by the site to check things out. After looking things over, he showed me one area scheduled to be repaired and said there are no cracks there, parging will suffice. I think my jaw dropped, because this would translate into a cost reduction for me. Who does that? Well…DMF does. They fix what NEEDS to be fixed. Work was completed the same day, they repaired the adjoining lawn by reseeding (which was mentioned and agreed to beforehand). I have now received my final invoice, and it did show a reduction. This is a bit long, but warranted I believe, to describe the extent of the outstanding service provided by DMF. DMF is everything a company should be (and more actually): extremely professional, honest, courteous, personable, etc. They know their business. In conclusion, I do not hesitate to highly recommend DMF. If you require foundation repairs, look no further than DMF.

I did not actually have work done by Stewart Roofing, but I wish I could! They do not service my area, unfortunately. I decided to post this review because of the telephone service I received. They returned my call promptly and even though they can't help me, they gave me very valuable information, which will help find someone in my area. They are the first company who offered help, even though I am not a customer. If and when I move in their 'service area' and need roofing services, they will certainly be on my 'preferred go to list' of contractors to call.

I contacted Enercare for the annual maintenance on my furnace and air conditioning. Service was responsive, courteous and professional. Got an appointment the same week. I was asked if it was urgent and I replied no. The technician was also professional and courteous. I would have no hesitation to recommend them.

I contacted Bertrand Plumbing to resolve a number of small plumbing matters. I dropped by their offices and Kristian, the plumbing manager, send someone the very next morning. Patrick showed up on time (7:30am). We went through my list and after spending nearly 3 hours, he left after fixing only what needed fixing. And the poor guy answered my slew of questions. I want/like to understand how things work, etc. and Patrick took the time to explain everything in detail in a language that was easy to understand. He also made very valuable suggestions. I dealt with another plumbing company before and did not receive a fraction of the service I received from Bertrand Plumbing & Heating. From this point forward, I will only deal with this company for any of the services they provide. They are knowledgeable, professional, etc. They are everything a company should be and I highly recommend them to anyone who requires such services.

Fireplace West replaced my (gas) fireplace insert last year. It worked beautifully and kept me very toasty every time I used it. Robin and Connor were going to be in my area today and contacted me to see if I wanted to do an annual maintenance. I sure did! Robin and Connor showed up promptly at the appointed time, did the necessary work, right down to replacing the batteries in the remote! Unheard of, but NOT for Fireplace West. That is simply what they do. No detail is too small. So Fireplace West will be coming back next year and the year after that, etc.

I used HB Pools because they are affiliated with the company I bought my new pool from. I had called earlier and spoken with some of their representatives and decided to give them a try. This was an EXCELLENT decision on my part. Their technicians are very professional and personable. Will definitely use them again in the spring when I open my pool.

Having gone through renovations before, I know how stressful they can be, and a solid and reliable contractor makes a HUGE difference. After shopping around, I simply went back to Eastside Contracting who had redone my deck a few years ago. This was an excellent decision. Sebastien gave me written estimates, made suggestions. He referred me to his suppliers (for countertops and tiles) and both the referrals turned out excellent. I guess the people he deals with are a reflection of what he really is like. Personable and professional. So yes, I hired, Eastside. Sebastien treated my house like his own. He is very meticulous and takes pride in what he does. He cleaned up after himself "as he went"; he did not leave anything laying around. I haven't heard a vacuum going as often as when he was here. He also did minor plumbing work (adding a second sink in the main bath) and added a range hood. He obviously tiled all 3 bathrooms, the laundry room and my beautiful backsplash. I now have my house back and couldn't be happier with everything that Eastside Contracting did. I would recommend this company at the drop of a hat!

I was referred to Couvre Plancher Embrun by my contractor (Eastside Contracting). Without this referral, I don't think I would have thought to go there. I am so happy I did! I dealt with Chris and he was a consummate professional and he really knows his products. I went twice and both times he was extremely courteous. The second time, I brought granite samples and he assisted in the choice of flooring material (colour, type, grout, etc.) Chris has exquisite taste and listens to your likes (and dislikes). I was frazzled the second time that I went, and his calm demeanour was enough to make things just right. I left in less than one hour after choosing backsplash tiles (for the kitchen) and flooring tiles for 3 bathrooms and the laundry room. This was another great experience for me as part of my kitchen/bathroom/laundry room reno. Couvre Plancher Embrun has a fabulous selection and will special order for you. I have no hesitation at all in recommending this company. And do ask for Chris!

I was referred to Mountain Granite by my contractor (Eastside Contracting). I did some research online and ended up going on site to see the place, etc. As soon as I stepped in, I was greeted cheerfully and very professionally by Chantal. Then Nancy (the cowner) took me around, explained how things are done, etc. and answered all of my questions. Eventually, I met with my rep, Chris, who was also very helpful. After I eventually made a choice and renovations got under way, Sylvain came along to make a template. In one week's time, I had my kitchen countertop and 3 vanity countertops. The installers, Patrick and Jason, could not have been more pleasant. Was the transaction pleasant? Absolutely. Were people courteous and professional? Most definitely. Was product and service delivered on time? Most assuredly. Was the price satisfactory and reasonable? Yes again. Overall my experience was outstanding and I would not hesitate to do business with them again, and to recommend them. Please note that I dealt with the company located at 2280 Stevenage Drive, Ottawa and not on Triole.

Contacted Fireplace West after reading reviews here. And I could not be happier. Robin and Connor are extremely professional and personable. By far the easiest dealings I have had in a long while. Work was done on time, on budget and with zero inconvenience. Attention to detail is second to none. Fireplace West is a 10+ in my book!

About 2 years ago I purchased a replacement Trane A/C and a new whole home filtration system. I used Direct Energy Home Services and couldn't have been happier with the purchase and installation experience. Since I am a stickler for maintenance, I decided to call them again for regular maintenance (as a replacement for an existing service). I checked the website first and called the service centre. I ended up speaking with Sabrina Bailey and WHAT SERVICE AND KNOWLEDGE! I was totally impressed and signed up for a new maintenance plan on the spot. I was already satisfied with Direct Energy Home Services, but now my satisfaction level has been bumped up even more. Well done, Direct Energy Home Services!

Yury came by yesterday to install a few more of your fantastic solar blinds. The service was, as usual, impeccable. As you know, I have a home-based business and my office is located in the basement. Basements are notorious for being colder, a bit more damp and generally less comfortable than uppler level rooms. My basement, which is largely finished, has two windows: one in the office and a second one in the furnace room. Despite the "finished" state of the basement, my office is so cold that I have to go upstairs very hour or so to warm up. I will be doing additional insulation work in the next few months, but decided on immidiate installation of Krumpers Solar Blinds for the basement windows. Where I am leading with this is that the temperature in the basement was noticeably warmer after the installation of the blind in the furnace room. Thanks to my new Krumpers blind, I know that the furnace room window is a major source of heat loss that needs to be addressed and my fingers are no longer stiff from the cold. My daughter came downstairs earlier and exclaimed how much "warmer" it is now. Also, the main level is more toasty than before (thanks to more Krumpers blinds). Just in case you can't tell, I am a big fan of the Krumpers blinds. The remainder of the house windows will eventually be "krumpered". The expense is well worth the comfort level.
