I purchased a heat pump through Smartcare home services in September 2023. I completed the paperwork and home energy audit in order to qualify for the government rebate.
1- The Heatpump installed was different than the quoted one and this was the first issue!
2- Then after the installation, it happened that it stopped working at one night and despite the repeated calls to their customer services and maintenance, nobody shows up to fix the problem and we spent 2 nights without any source of heating!
3- they sent someone with a dap sealant to air sealing the doors/windows to be qualified to the Air Sealing rebate and when you told them that this is not enough, they claimed that they know what they are doing. It seems that I was right and the Air Sealing rebate was not approved and I did not get the rebate.
4- I am trying to communicate with them know to fix the problem and to check the Heat Pump but they are ignoring my calls and emails.
5- This company was very quick to install the equipment but lacks in customer service follow up and/or maintenance services. Even the installation was not done properly and they have unnecessary long ducts which affects the heat pump efficiency.
I had planned on installing further energy upgrades to my home, but I would not consider using Smartcare now for any of this work. I regret dealing with this company and would never recommend them.
