I've been using Jameson for water testing and all chemical and product purchases for 20 years. I was having trouble balancing my pool water one week and asked for an extra water test. Marilou gave me a million reasons why I could not have another test (because it costs the company $5/test and about $7000/year). She did not offer that I could pay for an additional test. Worse than that, she did not offer any solutions to help correct my water chemistry. I explained that I do not take advantage of the water testing but this was an extenuating circumstance. Apparently 20 years of loyalty means nothing to Marilou or to the owner, Paul, who I emailed with my concerns. I gave him the opportunity to correct the situation, but he only gave excuses as well. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the management does not treat customers with care. I would avoid Jameson - there are many other, smaller pool companies in the area to choose from.

The "approximate cost" is based on spending a minimum of $500/year in chemicals and equipment over 20 years. In reality, it is likely much more than that.

We have been with Jameson pool for over 17 years and had to change our cover so we paid and a cover came and ripped in 1 year after quarrelling with Jameson they replaced it with another that lasted 2 seasons they are going to new companies and getting them cheaply made to cut cost so I quarrelled with them again bc one should last 10+ years they called me rude and said they are not replacing it I simply was upset not rude. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY BERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR QUALITY on pool covers I dont trust them time to find a better pool company!!!

We had a terrible experience working with Jaenesson Pool.

1 They built our pool. Their team has a big communication problem. After spending hundreds and thousands of dollars, they don't even tell you what's the plan and what needs to do next. You keep guessing till their accounting lady sends absurd costs.

2. Most of their staff is arrogant or rude.

3. They opened our pool for the first time. They charge a ridiculous amount for the least amount of time. Their team will not explain what they were doing. They didn't even let us know that the filters need to be cleaned by us. Still, they put unclean filters that made our heater ineffective. They want to charge us again to fix it. They even used rusted nuts so right that we cannot now open it do it ourselves.

Paul has a horrible team that is inefficient and rude. He will overlook your concerns. Looks like he is focused on your money.

Their construction and service teams are just useless.

I would advise everyone who wants a new pool or maintenance to just run away. Don't get fooled by their trucks or claims. Anyway, vinyl pools are outdated and they will charge a ridiculous amount and still behave as if they are doing a favor to you. Their after-service is very bad.

Worse, they don't reply to your emails or pick up the phone when you need help. I composed this review while put on hold over the phone forever.

Save your money and find another pool company. Else you are calling for huge trouble and a nightmare working with Janeson Pool.

The workers are great, no complaints. However, when we ran into an issue came up and we addressed it to the owner, we were met with was arrogance and defensiveness. They were completely unhelpful and unwilling to acknowledge the situation. It was clear, after he had received our money, that he didnt value us as a client. Pools are selling like hotcakes. He doesnt need us as a customer, and it transpired when we ran into an issue.

I had an old pool that was not functional. Jameson pool crew came and demolished the old pool and built a state-of-the-art modern pool with all year spa. The modern pool looks amazing with changing colour pool lighting and bubble jets.

The demolition of the old pool and the built of the new pool took no time. The professional and friendly Jameson crew was at my property everyday till the project was complete.

In one word Jameson pool service is Superb.

Hired Jameson Pools to check pressure on pool filter/system which seemed to be running high.

The " experienced " technician came and stated that the wrong filter media ( sand) was used when installed 2 yrs ago and what was needed was to change out sand filter media with a brand name media specifically for pool filters.
Technician did not look at the filter size and installed 300lbs of sand when my filter only required 250lbs of sand. Filter was leaking when backwashing and purging sand when backwashing.
Multiple calls back and forth with service manager- they don't like calls - email is their way of bouncing back and forth...!
" shoot me an email" is what the mangers VM states...
I was told sand discharging when backwashing is "normal" - haven't experienced that in 15 yrs of owning the pool.
I was also told to "tighten " the head to stop the leaking, I said that was a technicians job.
I explained to the service manager that the system was overfilled - after doing my own web research...

Another tech came out to remedy the situation and was going to "eyeball" removal of "about" 50lbs of sand...
I told him that the only way to fix the situation, IMO, was to remove all the sand and install the correct amount of sand- 250lbs...
He started to do that but only had an unbranded "pool sand" and given concern that the wrong sand could be put back in I asked him to fix the leak and have someone contact me when the pool filter sand arrived in the store, same one as used for 300lbs install.
The service order left in the mailbox stated that it was unknown when they would have the branded sand and a return date to complete the job was unknown, that is given the fact that I haven't heard back from the service manager Ida from Mississauga location I guess they figure their work complete. About 2 weeks ago.

The pressure in the system is still high and I overpaid for the extra bag of sand and haven't received a credit for that bag of sand that wasn't needed. At the very least Jameson Pools should refund the amount I paid for service work that was not fully completed with no follow-up to advise when it would be done as I have had to hire another company to complete this simple task for a pool service company who had an "experienced" technician attend.

BTW - tried to leave a google review but was unable for some reason.

Poor communication, expertise and follow-up to ensure job completion and satisfaction. Look elsewhere for pool service calls. They want the big cash - pool installation!

THE POOL LINER WAS INSTALLED AND HAD DOZENS OF WRINKLES; THEY TRIED ONCE AND LEFT WITHOUT CORRECTING; THEY WERE PAID OVER $30K FOR A PATIO THAT WAS PLACED ON SCREENINGS INSTEAD OF MORTARING (CEMENTING) IN PLACE; WITHIN 1 YEAR THE STONES WERE SHIFTING AND CRACKING; I AM NOW PAYING $10'S OF THOUSANDS TO LIFT ALL THE STONES, REPLACE BROKEN ONES AND CEMENTING IN PLACE PROPERLY.
I HELD BACK ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT AND THEY DONT EVEN CALL ANYMORE FOR THE BALANCE WHICH THEY WILL NEVER SEE AS I SHOULD TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT FOR ALL THE COSTLY ERRORS THEY LEFT FOR US TO FIX! I AGREE WITH ANOTHER REVIEWER WHERE THEY MENTIONED THE AGGRESSIVE COLLECTIONS TACTICS BY ONE OF JAMESON'S EMPLYEES---VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM

Awful experience. We went with Jameson Pools on a recommendation from neighbor, plus we buy supplies from their store. We expected delays and issues like with all renos, however the lack of professionalism from the project manager was excruciating. We were told story after story, the PM did not communicate details to the contractors, and then came an extensive period of time where no work was done, yet they wanted to be paid for the project. I had to withhold payment and threaten legal action until the work was done. The delays we learned later were due to overbooking, no financial consideration given for the delays, not one call back from the owner.

Again awful experience, I found them to be quite pompous with no concept of customer awareness, very disappointed and will find supplies elsewhere.

Our pool heater was not working properly at the end of last season. We requested an inspection or referral for it to be looked at on opening April 29th. The technician simply fired it up, but did not check to see if it would actually continue to work. Once we finally arranged to have it inspected, we were told that the heater had to be replaced (after less that 5 season) Jameson was quick to quote and set a time to install the new heater and remove the old heater. The day of the service, the technician showed up but said he couldn’t install it because the gas was still connected. He did send a message to see if it could be done that day, but it could not. We were disappointed because we made arrangements to be home to ensure it got installed. Jameson did reschedule for the Monday. Installation seemed to be fine, but we were shocked to get a separate invoice for the gas connection. Nowhere on our quote did it say gas connection was an additional charge. This annoyed us tremendously. There appears to be serious issues with communication with he service department at Jameson right now.

Once we got going, a good service. Some communication problems at the beginning led to the 4 rating. We somehow got forgotten, then there continued to be some confusion. But all got rectified and things progressed smoothly. We have been using Jameson for a few years now for general service and openings and closings. We are generally very happy with their service....good people. Would recommend them without hesitation!
