Window crank repair - 3 windows

Terry fixed cranks on 3 of my my windows within 45 minutes (20 minutes of this was labour - the rest of the time he was back and forth to his truck). He charged $250 which I thought was expensive, but I was pleased with his work. I then went overseas for 6 months and when I returned, one of the window cranks had broken; this was the very first time I tried to open it after Terry's repair. I phoned Terry and left a message about it - he did not return my call. I followed up 5 weeks later - and he yelled at me on the phone saying he would not guarantee his work for that long a period. He accused me of opening the window with the lock secured, then accused 'someone else' of opening it and breaking it. I explained that I had been away for 6 months and no one had opened the window since he had fixed it. He refused to listen to me or believe that the window had not been opened since his fix. I would not hire Terry if you are looking for someone who stands by his work or manages his business in a professional manner.

Good, fast work

We were given the run-around by several other businesses that supposedly repair screens, calls not returned, people hanging up on us mid-sentence when they realize our job was not worth their time, that sort of thing. They are all here on Homestars... So it was a real pleasure to deal with Terry. He answered the phone immediately over the weekend, and quickly booked an appointment for today. He showed up early, and he completed the work quickly and neatly. The new screens look great and we highly recommend him.

Screen replacement

Fantastic service. Came early, replaced three screens and flipped a patio screen door that had been put in upside down (!!!) all within 1/2 hour. Screens look like new again. Very polite. Neat work. Was able to accommodate me on a Saturday on short notice. Will definitely use this service again.

Window repair and replacement

Terry came Tuesday on time, took measurements, gave a quote, returned Friday, replaced a cracked thermal window, replaced crank assembly for another casement window (that all others window companies said couldn't be done, and that we would need to replace the whole window). Thanks Terry!

Broken window

My girlfriend and I had just bought a house and moved in and we found that the clips that keep the window from falling out had broken in nearly all the windows. We had no idea where to go to get this fixed, so we ignored it at the beginning, then one of the windows fell out and broke.
We considered everything from replacing the entire window to trying to fix it ourselves. We looked on homestars though and found these guys.
We called, and Terry showed up within two hours and measured our window. He was back two days later with the replacement glass and the replacement clips to keep all of the windows in place. He was professional and quick, and his work was great. I am keeping his number around in case I ever break any other windows.
It cost us about 350, which seems expensive on the face of it, but he came out twice, once to measure and once to install, and his work was solid. I think the price was fair for good work and quick service.

I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing window repair, and will be using him again if we ever need it.

Window repair

I asked Terry if he could have a look at repairing three casement windows which were (for various reasons) hard to open. He gave me a quote for fixing all three that was a heck of a lot cheaper than replacement, so I figured I didn't have anything to lose. He showed up on time, easily fixed one of them, and politely explained why the other two couldn't be fixed (he actually tried one of them but the screws were so rusted they couldn't be removed - that's life). He then charged me quite a bit less than what he quoted me and quite a bit less than I was expecting. It's very hard to find window *repair* services; I like the fact that he *doesn't* do window replacement... he has no incentive to try to upsell you into new windows if you don't really need them. I can now proceed with replacing the other two windows, knowing that it's really necessary. Hire this guy with confidence.

Patio Screen Repair

I called few places and this place came with the lowest price. Seeing the multiple 10/10 reviews, I decided to give it a shot. Terry is a kind gentleman who arrived early and got the job done fast. I was happy with his manners and service and I would definately recommend him to others.

replaced broken window glass

Terry arrived on time and did the job as expected. The cost was exactly what he quoted and was less than two other quotes that I received for the job to replace the glass in a large front window. Very good service.

Screens, re-screened

We live in a condo and are not handy in the least. Searched the internet to find someone who would/could rescreen our window screens as they were old, ratty looking, dirty and torn in places.

Terry had wonderful reviews, was quick to answer the phone and booked us for the following Monday morning. Giving him the number of screens and the dimensions allowed him to give us a quick quote and ask us to decide between aluminum or fibre glass mesh, with price options for each.

On arrival, he noted that the wheels on the sliding door screen were no longer wheeling and he offered to fix that too =)

I was a bit concerned about doing this in the middle of our living room, but Terry just picked all the screens up and took them to his truck. (All screens were already removed from windows).

He was back in an hour and they look wonderful, he also helped me re-install the sliding door.

I will be suggesting him to other friends in this condo and in others.
