We had some extensive drywall repairs required all through our house after we had all our poly-b pipe replaced. We are very happy we chose Big Al's as they did great work on all aspects of the job. We contacted 5 companies for quotes and Big Al's was not only the best quote, but could also start the job faster than any others. Patches were required on our walls and ceilings (both flat and textured ceilings). The texture they sprayed on was blended very well and we have a hard time seeing what is new vs. what is old. Our Project Manager/Supervisor was Gary and he did a great job keeping us appraised of the job progress and if there were any delays, etc.. After the job was done there were a couple small things that needed to be addressed and Gary sent someone over the very next day to take care of those concerns. All in all, I think if you're looking for a company that will do good work, provide great service and do it at a competitive price I can recommend Big Al's.

My wife and I are both very happy with Nate and his team. We had Distinct install two new furnaces in our home to replace two 30 year old furnaces. This also required new venting, re-venting hot water heaters, chimney lining, etc. We were very happy with the process starting from the initial quote to the final walk through and Nate's tutorial. During the initial quote, Nate took time to review all of our options and explained the pros/cons of each decision we had to make. It was easy to follow along with him and our final decisions about what products to choose seemed easy. During the install (which took a little over two days) his crew was very clean and tidied up the work area at the end of each workday. They paid attention to detail and the final installation reflects that (all the pipes/cables are level, cables are zip tied tightly, etc.). There were no surprises along the way either with the work or the billing. We appreciated the time Nate spent with us after the installation to walk us through the work that was done, program the thermostats, set up remote access, etc. Nate and his crew are very good at what they do and Nate's passion for his business shines through. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to have their HVAC serviced or replaced.

Modern Purair was recommended to us by an HVAC contractor so we hired them to come and clean our ducts before we get new furnaces installed. Their technician was very polite, friendly and professional all throughout the job and he worked diligently the whole time he was here. It was certainly a little weird to see all the stuff that gets cleaned out. All in all it was a very positive experience and we're glad to know that the air in our home is going to be good and clean for a while.

Stampede made it easy to book an appointment and their service tech arrived within the promised window to do a service to our two garage doors. The tech was helpful and friendly and gave me some pointers on how to continue to maintain the door.

We hired Elite to paint the exterior windows and fascia of our home. We’re happy with the final product, but there were definitely problems along the way. The problems were not entirely Elite’s fault and I feel they did a good job of making things right. From the initial quote through to the completion of the job, Chris was very professional. However, there was a mix up at the paint store and the wrong paint was applied to our house. Chris owned up to the mistake and he had the house repainted. By the time all the coats were done, the windows had been painted shut and a relief cut was required. Unfortunately, in doing this the crew cut through the weather stripping on all of the windows. Chris made things right by replacing the weather stripping. After the repairs were completed, the crew came out to do the final touch ups (but this did take longer than expected). All in all, I believe we received what we paid for, but along the way there were some difficulties and frustrations. That said, Chris honoured his contract price and continued to send his crew out to correct the deficiencies until the job was done, and I respect that.

We had Terin come by to install some pot lights in our home. When our home was initially built, it was designed for lamps so it felt very dark. From the estimate to the installation, Terin provided great service and our formerly dark family room now feels much brighter. When he came for the estimate, he gave us a good overview of what our options were regarding number and size of lights to get optimal lighting coverage as well as how to lay them out from a design perspective. He made sure that all our questions were answered before we went through with the work, which was nice. We weren't there for the installation, so he kept us up to date by texting us a few pictures of the work in progress. Finally, when we got home after the work was done, we could barely tell he had been there since he had done such a good job of cleaning up. Thanks again Terin. We are loving the new lights and look forward to having you install a ceiling fan for us soon.

I contacted Jeremy and he replied promptly to schedule a time for an estimate. When he arrived for the estimate he was friendly, professional and personable. He took time to determine what I was trying to achieve and he came up with a plan that helped me tidy up the trees in my 30 year old (but new to me) yard. He and his team showed up when they said they would and completed the work in the estimated timeframe. He touched base with me before they left the job for the day to ensure that everything was in line with my expectations. I have no problem recommending Open Canopy to anyone else that might need help with this work.

We hired Kevin to re-key the locks at our new house as well as install a new keypad lock. He did a great job, showed up on time and took care to ensure the job was done well. My wife and I were very happy with our decision to hire him and highly recommend him to anyone else.

Our family moved 10 minutes down the road and we decided to hire Viktoria for this job. We are very happy with our decision to work with them. Pre-move: From the first meeting with Patrick we were impressed with his thoroughness and willingness to help us. He was prompt with his estimates and lived up to the expectations he set for response times with communications, etc.. We rented some rigid plastic crates from Viktoria and they were delivered on time prior to moving day as promised. Moving Day: The crew showed up on time, laid down their runner mats and got to work immediately. Our crew was made up of Marion, Ellis and Jason (hope I got their names right). They each introduced themselves and were very friendly, had positive attitudes and were helpful all throughout the day. These guys kept their pace up and didn't slow down as the day went on. Everything was wrapped up safely and packed securely. They were able to fill every cubic foot of that truck - my wife and I were amazed. The crew worked very well together, were clean, respectful and there was no colorful language, etc. either. Once they loaded the truck up they drove to the new place, laid down the runners again and got started unpacking. Negatives: None. That said, if there was anything that was unexpected or out of line with my initial expectations, it was that one of their trucks had broken down so the crew had a smaller one than was initially supposed to come. As such, they had to do an extra trip. However, Viktoria made it up and did not charge for the time of the second trip which was a very fair way to deal with it so I can't even say it was a "negative" experience. Summary: The day was uneventful which, to me, means it was amazing. I can't say I've been able to say that about any moves I've done myself in the past. Nothing was damaged or lost and everything was done within the estimated timeline. Several times during the day my wife and I would step back and comment to each other how good these guys are at what they do. All in all, it was a great experience working with the team at Viktoria and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any friends or family of mine in future moves.

We hired Egbert to do a home inspection for us. He did a great job, was thorough, and was honest about what he believed was a genuine concern vs. things that might appear to be scarier than they actually are. The final report was very readable and we appreciated the format and size of it. Egbert has a good understanding of building products and processes and we learned a lot in the time we spent with him.
