Several years ago we had some stonework done around our home and ants had taken away all the joining sand and as a result some of the brickwork had started to sink. Danny was able to come in relatively short time and perform the work required to re-level the brickwork, sand and seal and now it as good as new (and better job than the original joining sand). Great job and I would refer to friends needing this kind of service.

I responded to a mailed advertisement for lawn care at my home. I am by no means a green thumb, and though it would be a good idea to see how well my lawn would preform under professional care. The front lawn was pretty rough and the back yard was newly sodded a couple of years ago and weeds had started to grow much to my dismay. In this strangest of summers is was a very damp raining quite frequently so the over-seeding, aerating, and weed treatment that had never been done likely provided the maximum value for the service. The front lawn has never looked better but would need to see how a second year will result in additional improvement. I will likely revise or write a second rating at the end of the second year.

I had contacted Kurt late in the season with hopes that he would be able to replace our front porch which was in very poor condition with crumbling concrete and a rotting wooden decking. I wish I took pictures to show how bad it really was. He had told me that he would do his best to fit me in before winter came and he lived up to his end of the bargain. I am very happy with the end product, it looks beautiful and look forward to having Kurt and his crew back in for a backyard project in the spring!

We had bought a couch and chair set from one of the big box stores and found that the cushion foam was of very poor quality. We were contemplating on replacing the set but I could not bring myself to pay another two grand for replacement. I wondered if I could simply have the cushions re-stuffed. I packed up my cushions and made my way over to Gary's store where he greeted my wife and I. He was very personable and gave us a choice of firmness to choose from. The job was done in a couple of days as promised. We were happy with the initial Couch re-stuffing so we had him do the chair as well. Thanks Gary!

I contacted Mark due to the high rating his company has received on Homestars. Initially the conversation was about a very cold master bedroom that during the winter was about 7 degrees colder then the rest of the house, and a breeze coming from my house bay window. I had read about the wall injection procedure and thought it would be a good idea to resolve the problem. Mark had asked to see my attic where he said additional insulation there may be my best bang for the buck, I had this done in 2007 and didn't expect any issues, but Mark identified that the R value was not as high as it could be, and that the previous contractor hadn't filled along the roof perimeter very well, and in fact was likely missed entirely in places. That was enough to move forward. His employee Charlie arrived promptly at the agreed start time and did prep work until Mark arrived shortly after, the work was done quickly and professionally. In the few days that have passed since the install our home seems to be more uniform in temperature which was not the case before. I am looking forward to a winter without having to use a space heater to make the room temperature tolerable. Thanks Mark I will definitely recommend your company to friends and family.

Rand Electric did an excellent job replacing my existing aluminum wiring with copper. The job took a week and based on a previous quote I was expecting my home to be an absolute mess once completed, I was pleasantly surprised! They not only did little to no damage they fixed a few of the puzzling wiring jobs that were done by the previous home owner. I recommended their service to my next door neighbour who hired them as well to do the same in his house.

I had a really bad experience with another vendor on a different brand of tankless water heater, and upon hearing my story James was able to quote me much better pricing then the original vendor that I had contracted to do the original install on the exact same model (giving them the opportunity to right the wrong). James sent one of his crew over to take pictures of my existing install and immediately identified several shortcuts and code violations from the previous vendors install just by the pictures. They were quick to schedule my install once I had committed as my current in place unit was leaking (the next day) though they did give me the option of scheduling an alternate day to fit my schedule which is nice there was no pressure to rush. They stuck to the quoted pricing even though there were unforeseen issues with the install and did not pass on the extra charges to my quoted price. I was truly impressed with the professional install job and the crew definitely knew their building code stuff. In fact they pointed out additional shortcomings from the install job on my furnace (which I have addressed with that vendor), James and his crew have gone above and beyond and I would have no problem recommending them to family and friends and hiring them again for any HVAC work.

The guys came in and sprayed additional insulation in my attic, also fixed the soffits around my house. I have saved quite a bit in heating costs with this upgrade! Great work.

Paul came in assesed the situation and did a great job of exterminating the vermin from our house, and even identified the species that infiltrated our abode.He then helped to locate the entry point, which we promptly sealed. Great work and came with a 1 year guarantee.

Sears an I have done lots of business over the years. They offer a good variable payment plan. I ordered the windows/doors at the end of February and was told they would be ready to go at the end of April or early May. I got a call at the end of March that they were ready to go. Because of other work I was getting done I had to stagger the install,they did not have a problem doing so. UPDATE: Quality of install was not as good as first appearance, they did not seal a void under my Bay window that allowed mice to infiltrate my house. It took months of pestering until they sent someone over to fix the problem. The windows stick and appear to not be level. No more business from me.

The guys came in and did the duct cleaning but in doing so left quite a bit of the dust etc around the vents that we had to clean up after the fact. Sears had done the previous job and these guys informed me that the last time it was done they totally missed cleaning some of the vents, I was happy that they found this, but unhappy that it was missed the first time around.

I had arranged to have basement windows installed around my house when the installer had informed me my window wells were not up to snuff and I would need to have them repaired prior to the window installation. I stumbled upon TWG while looking up landscapers in Whitby on the internet. I touched base via e-mail and got a prompt response via phone and email. Todd came by the next day and surveyed the job and I was sent the quote in a couple of days from Tammy (as promiced). Todd and his workers were able to complete the job in less than a day and the workmanship is excellent. I am very happy with the speed,response and quality of workmanship. I will definately use them again for any landscaping needs.
