We called Bartlett Plumbing in a bit of a pinch with a backed up main line just outside regular hours. We got the after hours line and left a voicemail. Within 3 minutes we received a call back and 3 minutes after that had an appointment set up. Bryce kept us informed prior to the appointment, called when he was on his way and showed up exactly when he said he would. He took a look down our main line and cleared the total block within a very short time. He kept me informed with every step of the job. Once we were all clear and good to go, he cleaned up the entire area (thank you even more}, he inspected the remaining plumbing in our home to ensure everything was good. Bryce is very polite and punctual and we would recommend him to anyone needing plumbing work done.

We had hired another contractor who basically took my mom's money and ran away without finishing the job. We found LF Builders on Homestars and it was great from start to finish. Samm was awesome with his communication, he contacted us right away and was out with the quote the same day that we sent the inquiry. He explained in detail every thing they were going to do and stated that it would be about 2 weeks to get the job done. They started earlier than expected, were awesome with communicating to us about when they would be there, they showed up on time and the guys who did the work were great! They were very pleasant and friendly, they answered all my questions and cleaned up the area before they left. Then I had Samm call us to follow up after the job had been completed to make sure we were satisfied. LF Builders are fantastic and I would highly recommend them. They really came through for us and we appreciate very much!

After researching and obtaining several quotes we determined that based on professionalism, cost and efficiency of the quote and any follow up conversations there was little choice but to have OHS Landscaping in to help out tired old lawn. We had contacted OHS to come and give me a quote on sod installation. Grant got back to us right away and was able to drop by and give us a quote very quickly. His price was better than other companies we had contacted. He always answered our emails quickly and was great at answering all of our questions. Grant and his team showed up on the day they said they would, on time and finished the job in the time frame he said they would. They were so efficient that we had them also dig out an area in the back yard to level and add sand for a pool to be installed. Amazing work and what a difference! They were all very polite and cleaned up behind themselves before they left. This team went above and beyond expectations by moving removed soil into low areas of the yard saving us both time and money. We would definitely recommend and use Grant and his team again in the future for any yard work needs. Thank you Grant

We contacted 10 different siding companies and only two showed up. The first one contacted and the first one to show up was Rudy from Aluminate Siding. From the beginning to the end, this was one of the best dealings we have ever had with a contracting company. Our emails were always answered quickly, Rudy answered all our questions and he left us samples to determine what colors we wanted. Rudy and his team showed up on the day that they said they would be starting. They were always on time, always very polite, cleaned up their mess before leaving at the end of the day - everyday and anytime we had a question or concern, Rudy was great! The end product was even more awesome than we thought it would be and we are so happy with the end result. The entire team at Aluminate is awesome!! I wish all of the contractors that we have dealt with or will deal with in the future were like Aluminate.

I contacted Home Pro Electronic in a panic due to losing a large portion of my hydro. When I called and explained what had happened, Home Pro was awesome. They went through what it could have been but told me not to worry and they would have someone out right away. They sent Tim who was great. He was polite, knowledgeable and on time. He was able to determine very quickly that the issue was not inside my home but was rather outside the home. He walked me through the scenarios of what could be the issue and what might be done to correct the issue. He was really good at trying to keep me calm during my time of panic. He installed a surge protector for the entire panel as I requested for my own piece of mind. I would definitely recommend Home Pro in a heartbeat and I wish that all contractors were as great and reliable as Home Pro. We will use them again for our not so distant project as well.

After getting several quotes and having some pales guys upsell ideas that we had no interest in and then provide their quote, with there ideas on it. Huh? How about our idea, the customer. Joe came out and listened to our ideas, provided feedback. His quote was fair and for exactly what we wanted. When we started the project we were a little nervous but this team of proffessionals did not disappoint. First was the removal of the driveway and the crew assisted with the removal of a deck and some hedge as well. Curbs were poured along with some stairs. Nelson and his team did an amazing job on all of the concrete. Alliance worked around our hectic schedule to get the job done around other work being done. I would highly recommend Joe and Alliance to anyone looking to pave or pour concrete. Awesome job guys!!!

Having a yard with no power is a frustration I never thought about until buying this house. We had no power at all in the entire back yard which really hurts the rotisserie, power tool use and music. I contacted several companies for a quote and heard things like, we can do it quick for cash, incredibly high prices which I'm sure was to avoid a small job and last of all were the companies that didn't even have the respect to respond back. Lucky for me, Holly responded quickly. She was polite, knowledgeable, friendly and answered every question I asked. The prompt, clear communication went a long way to making my decision. She made the appointment at a time convenient to me. On that day, at that time Nathan showed up. Yup! a contractor on time... I know right... The work was completed quickly, and the area left clean. Nathan was very polite, he explained what was done and demonstrated the finished product. Holly followed up with the setup of an ESA inspection to finish things off. The end result is a happy customer that would recommend Verve Electric in a heartbeat to anyone looking for electrical work to be done, correctly.

Ashur Home Renovation did a fantastic job building a new fence. Ashur reponds in a timely manner from the quote to the finished product. He communicates clearly and politely always. We were kept informed each step of the project and every day ended with a recap of where we were. All questions were answered and every idea we has was listened to. He is a great guy to work with. Every day the work area was left clean and safe. Despite the weather being uncooperative, the project was complete in a good amount of time. From the removal of the old fence, to the final screw we were happy with the work being done. He worked with us to ensure we ended up with the product we wanted while minimizing cost. I would certainly recommend Ashur to anyone looking for quality, affordable work. As a matter of fact, I already have. We have already received several compliments from friends and neighbours. Thank you Ashur for a job well done.

On our recently purchased home, we knew we needed insulation, but how little we actually had was unknown. Less than 3" throughout the attic and some areas missing altogether. We called in three companies for quotes and went with the friendliest, most helpful and knowledgeable of the three. Also, the middle of the three as pricing goes. Bryan came out for the initial inspection and quote. He quickly noted the lack of insulation, the areas missing and that the bathroom was not exhausted correctly. With thermal imagery we saw a great deal of heat entering the breezeway wall and cool coming in the crawlspace. We hired Reitzel as soon as possible and had them fix it all up. The "Joshes" arrived on time, explained the process to spray the crawl space and the ensure we had the 24 hour rule understood. A couple hours after completion, team 2 showed up to blow in the attic and breezeway. Both teams were professional, polite and cleaned up any mess behind them. We had an energy audit done prior to the insulation added and see the improvement. They also handled everything to ensure we received our rebates from the government. Thank you!

A recently purchased home and a previous interior crack repair, visible from outside. For safety sake, we thought we'd turn to the professionals. We called The Crack Specialists in. The estimator was on time and was and explained in great detail that the crack was completely fixable and would be fine. We hoped for an exterior fix and voila, no problem. The repair team were on time, polite, professional and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. They are very confident in the work they do and cleaned up afterwards. Upon completion, the repair was nearly invisible and what once seemed like it could bring us trouble was now gone. I would recommend this company to anyone at any time. Absolutely excellent service from initial call to completion.

We purchased a home that the sales agreement showed "new windows prior to possession". Oops, loophole! New glass put in the frames, zero insulation and 20% functionality only. We had a couple quotes given. Many of the so called top rated Home stars companies were just to big for our job. We were literally told, we don't come out for less than 10 windows. In came Dan, straight up and friendly. He quickly and clearly explained our options and then went to a new level to show other possibilities aside from straight replacement. He did not up sell, but instead listened to our wants and needs and worked with them. Installation day came and we welcomed Eric and Mark ( I Think ). They pulled out the windows without even scratching the existing interior trim. The new windows were installed, sealed and jamb extended to match our siding. This entire experience from beginning to end was exceptional. They even went above and beyond to repair a door window outside the scope of the job. We would hire Canada select Doors again in a heartbeat. We ended up with the custom windows we desired and are very happy with them. The look fantastic, function beautifully. Thank you!

Awesome experience from start to finish. The sales person Yuri was on time, polite, informative and is good at getting back to you quickly. The installers Rob & Brock were on time as well, polite, cleaned up after the install, removed the old equipment and put down runners to protect the carpet. They went through how to use the AC, furnace and touch pad, showed me everything that they did and how to maintain the systems. I would definitely recommend using this company.

We had a corner of our driveway sinking slowly over the past couple years. We heard an ad on the radio for Liftec and called them. Terry came out right away and looked at the area in question. He explained how small a job this was and that we really didn't need to spend money at this time. We decided to have them do it regardless just for peace of mind. About a week later the crew cam by right on time, got the slab lifted back into its original position and it seemed to take no time at all. The area was cleaned and ready for use before they left. The crew was nice and very polite. We would not hesitate to recommend Liftec to friends and family and would hire them again in a heartbeat if we need to. Hopefully we don’t! :)

We had some cracking and were in need of repair and sealing of our pool deck. We had also had our skimmer replaced this year and of course the new cement colour was nowhere near the original concrete colour. We did some searching and found very few companies interested in this type of project if it wasn't their work from the beginning. We contacted Goldwell and spoke to Kris. He wasted no time in coming by to have a look at the project and provided us a with a reasoanable quote. The crew showed up on time each day, were very polite, answered all questions and gave us suggestions on how to save money in the future. Despite the skimmer repair having nothing to do with Goldwell, Kris went above the call of duty and attempted to match the colour as close as possible, to which he did an amazing job as you'll see in the pictures. Each time we contacted Kris with questions he always answered us back right away (whether it was by email, phone or text). We had a great experience with Goldwell and we will be using them again next spring to seal our front porch and driveway. We highly recommend them!!

After researching and obtaining a couple quotes and making appointments only to have others not show. It was raining in our garage and under our front porch with every moderate rain. We finally called Coverall and Mark came out quickly to have a look at our situation. Within minutes, he invited me on the roof to see the absolutely terrible job the previous owners had done. Shingles actually not attached at all and worse, on a flat roof. Other shingles curling back and running water towards the house. This work was a joke. Mark quickly had his crew out and working in no time. The crew was very professional and answered any questions we had. They applied a much better (larger) drip edge all around and noted a small area of future concern on the adjoining pool house. The time was taken to ensure a good seal was made in this area at no additional cost. Mark explained the facts of this near flat roof and that shingles are not the right way to protect our home. The crew broke out the torches and rolled out what ended up being a much better looking roof than we thought when we first heard about the process. Mark and his crew did a fantastic job sealing up our roof, adding all new drip guard and flashing. They went above and beyond and we would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone.

George came out, measured up our windows and came back a short time later to intall our new covers. What a great job and fantastic product. I have other contractors, friends and neighbours asking about them. These are, by far the nicest window well covers onywhere around here. Nothing we have seen even comes close to these. George is a friendly guy and gets the job done for a price that is reasonable based on the quality and aesthetics of the covers. Thank you George

We contacted Premier Pool Group based on HomeStars feedback and were not disappointed. Lenni and Jodi came out to check the scope of the work required. We purchased the home Nov. 29, 13 and as part of the purchase agreement had to have the pool opened and functioning by May 31, 14. Jodi came out on May 1 to open the pool. She was punctual, friendly and professional. By mid May, once the pool was open and running we decided upon a new Hayward 300,000 btu heater to replace the old rusty beast left here. We doubled the sand filter size due to the existing one being way to small for a pool of this size and bought a new pump. While having this done we decided on a salt water conversion, which turned out to be what of the smartest decisions we made. This is worth every penny. This system combined with a robot cleaner has made this pool virtually maintenance free. We have had a fantastic summer enjoying the pool, rather than working on it thanks to the suggestions of Lenni and Jodi. We will be replacing the liner in the near future and will definitely be calling Premier Pool Group again for this work to be done. We highly recommend Lennie and Jodi to anyone looking for a qualified company that cares.

We bought this on an email deal. Over the years we have tried several companies and Diamond Duct Cleaning is by far the best we have had. Diya and his partner were very professional and thorough. They performed the work with care and respect for our belongings. They explained each step and went over all findings with us. We would definitely use them again in the future and would recommend them to anyone needed duct cleaning done.

We recently had our entire home rewired from aluminum to copper and that left us with many small holes to fill. CC's was referred to us and for good reason. Luis came out right away to give us a quote. He was professional, friendly and fair. He arranged to have his crew come in far quicker than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The guys showed up on time and got right to work. Cody was very informative, answered every question we had and explained each step of the process as they worked. Cody was accompanied by J.R and Ricky who worked very well together to get the job done and minimize the mess. This crew came in, worked hard, cleaned up their mess and left us as little dust as possible. The final touches were done by Luis and J.R. in a couple hours and the work was done. The process that might have taken us several weeks took only three days leaving the walls and ceilings ready to paint. We are very happy with the this team and would recommend them in a heart beat. After educating ourselves and learning that copper is better... We wanted every piece of aluminum wiring removed from our home. After doing our research and having several companies come out to look over the work to be done, our choice was easy. HOTWIRE. Oris came out for the original inspection, he explained what needed to be done to have the entire house rewired and noted other shortcomings of the previous owners. Oris was very friendly, knowledgeable and personable and explained everything in a way we could easily understand. The quote came in and HotWire was hired. Most of our communication was with Hanna who answered most of my questions after the initial visit and again, very helpful. Both Oris and Hanna are very good at answering email and getting back to us by phone which is a rare find. The work was started very quickly and soon we had holes and wires all over the place. The crew that came in were an great bunch of guys. Adam was very helpful, explained what they were doing as it was being done and answered every question without any signs of frustration. Along with Adam came Alex, Alex and James. These guys removed baseboards, reached up through pot light holes and climbed through the attic to minimize the amount of holes needed to be cut to feed the new wire. This job took about a week and each day they cleaned up behind themselves for a clean start the next morning. Not only is the house completely rewired, but they installed new smoke detectors on each floor, replaced any receptacles where required and added AFCI breakers for the bedrooms to ensure the home was brought to code. We also had them replace our old pot lights in the basement with a set of new, modern lights that look fantastic. I would definitely recommend this team of professionals to anyone looking for electrical work and will certainly call them again should we need work done. Thank you to the entire team!

After having Clera install new doors for us a couple months ago, we had to come back for more great service. We replaced our living room and bedroom windows. Dennis came out once again for his "slam dunk" sales visit. Measured up the windows, checked out the trim, gave us the price and wrote it up. A short time later the windows were manufactured and ready to install. The installers ( I wish I could remember their names ) showed up despite the frigid temperatures and got the job done. The entire experience was again a good one and we will not hesitate to recommend or use Clera again for any future job. The workmanship is great, the work was complete including clean up and everyone we dealt with was polite and professional. Thank you for another job well done.

We wanted to repair some cracked mortar and stones on the front of our recently purchased home. We contacted A&A immediately after researching them on Homestars. Dan came out to assess the scope of work involved, He was very professional, polite and offered advice to us as he looked around the property. He even went as far as to find a matching stone as we had no idea who manufactured, or installed it originally. Being out of season, we had to wait for the weather to cooperate. On the eve of the first nice day of the season Andy called and booked us in the next day. James arrived on time and was equally polite and professional. He looked over the work to be done, explained the process and what he was going to do. He obtained the stone required and got to work. He listened to everything we had to say and acted upon it as if it was his own house. After going over all the areas of concern to us, he went over the rest of the home paying attention to every detail and fixing every small flaw or crack he could find. He did a fantastic job and the house looks great. He went over all the work done, pointed out anything that he saw as future potential issues with other items on the home.Upon completion, James took the time to ensure that the entire work area was left spotless by cleaning the roof, porch and driveway. We would highly recommend A&A Masonry to anyone and everyone. As a matter of fact, the work looks so great that neighbors came over asking for his card before he was even done. This was one of the best contractor experiences we have had. All three employees that we dealt with were absolutely polite, helpful and professional. Theyt really made us feel that the customer is their top priority. Thanks for a great job!

Renew Stairs round two. This is the second time we had Moe come in as we used him in our previous house. Again we have nothing but praise for this company. Moe came in, measured up the broken stairs and wobbly railings left behind by the previous owners. We required a complete replacement of the staircase and all new railings throughout the house. The stairs were manufactured pretty quickly and installation began right after. Quinn was our installer in both job sites and again did an exceptional job. These stairs are the focal point as soon as you walk in the house and are complimented by everyone that comes in. We are very happy with both Moe and Quinn and have already recommended them to friends and other contractors that have done work for us. These gentlemen go above and beyond expectations and are an absolute pleasure to have working in our home. Timely, clean and professional. Thank you Moe and Quinn.

Delinia was hired based on a personal referral. Robert came in to assess our needs and provide a detailed quote. He provided drawings of our interpretation and supplied his own suggestions as well for us to consider. The project was expected to be done in a two week period, however extended well past this time frame and we felt some need to keep an eye on the work to keep it organized. We were very lucky to be able to accommodate the extended work time as others may not. This was the only real negative thing we have to say about the experience. Robert is a very friendly, professional individual that is a pleasure to work with. Although this project did take more than double the estimated time to complete, the bathroom turned out exceptional and commands a profound compliment by everyone that sees it.

Clera was hired after receiving several quotes and reading up on Homestars to research each company as much as possible. Dennis arrived on time for our quote, answered all of our questions and was a very pleasant salesman. When it came time to have the doors installed the installers came and worked despite the bitter temperatures this winter. The front door and sidelights were removed and completely replaced making our old dingy brass entrance into a grand entrance. While here a new interior garage door was also installed with self closing hinges bring the door to code. Everyone compliments our entry way and our experience has been nothing short of excellent. Clera windows will be my choice when I replace my windows in the near future.

Quality Glass was suggested and brought in by our contractor. What a great suggestion. These guys came in and measured up what we required and to our specs. Within a week they were back to filly install the glass. They had us come in and inspect there workmanship with a fine tooth comb. It was perfect! They gave us suggestions on cleaning techniques and maintenance of moving parts along with their direct number for any concerns or warranty work. This was a great experience and highly recommend this company for anyone looking to totally transform a bathroom into a place of luxury.

The Woodworking Company was referred to us by friends who had used their service for sorted renovations. Although this project was some time ago, I think it only fair that we relay this experience so that others may enjoy their experiences equally. We hired these guys after they came in and gave us a free quote, provided a CAD drawing that showed us how the kitchen would look upon completion. The price was very competitive and the guys were superb to deal with. Measurements were taken, cupboards custom made including small adjustments to depths we requested. Although there was a slight delay in production Jason came in and promised to make it up to us. Not only did he make it up, but he went beyond our expectations. These guys even replaced handles broken by kids climbing on them at no additional charge. Although this was a small kitchen project, we were treated like million dollar customers and will recommend Jason and his staff to anyone needed cabinetry.

I contacted Costco to make an appointment to have a quote to replace my garage door. Ultimate Systems called me back the next day to schedule an appointment. They came by the following week and I met with Marcin. He showed up on time, explained my options for the door and how it worked with Costco if there was ever an issue with the door. Justine called a few weeks later to schedule a date for install. On the day of the install we were having a snow storm and Justine called to let me know that Marcin was on his way, but was running late due to the weather. When Marcin was taking down the old door, I had explained that I was keeping the door and the track for someone else. He took great care in taking down the old door and then went above and beyond by putting the old door and track carefully in my garage, and made sure that I had all the pieces together in a box. He cleaned up his mess before leaving. Marcin was very polite and pleasant both times that we met, even while installing my door at -35.. I would definitely recommend Ultimate Systems!!!!!!

I contacted Mr. Electric to have some potlights taken out and new ones install. I contacted Mr. Electric and spoke with Susan. She got a electrician to come out for a quote in 2 days. The electrician Scott showed up on time, put together the quote, explained in detail what he recommended be done and why. I decided to go with Mr. Electric to do the work and they were able to come back the next week to do the job. I spoke with George in service, as I had some questions about the lights. George was very polite and pleasant and he answered all of my questions, and there were a lot. But no matter how many I asked, he never got annoyed or made me feel like I was being a pest. Scott the electrician did the work and did a fantastic job. He showed up on time, he was polite, and he was extremely careful when doing the work. He put down sheets on my hardwood floors and cleaned up his mess before he left. I would definitely recommend Mr. Electric, they are fantastic. Thanks again, Susan, Linda, Doris, George and Scott!!!

I recently purchased a new home and was referred to Natural Movers. I contacted the company and spoke with Maria, who was great. She explained how everything in detail as to how the move would take place and answered all of my questions. A couple of days before the move, Maria contacted me to make sure that everything was still a go. The movers showed up on time, wrapped my furniture and pictures and personal items so that nothing got broken. They showed the same care when taking the items out of the truck and moving them into my new home. The movers were very pleasant and polite and they did a fantastic job. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them in a heartbeat!!!

I had used Mold Services before for another job and had such a great experience with them, that I used them again. I recently moved into my new home and had concerns about one of my bathrooms. I called and spoke with Kay and she was able to schedule an appointment quite quickly. Ross came in, did the air test and explained what needed to be done. Lucas and the two other gentlemen came and did the job. They were pleasant, polite, showed up on time and cleaned up the entire area before they left. Thank you mold services again for doing such a great job!!!!

After doing some research, Bath Solutions Mississauga was hired to replace our tub . This project started as a disaster. The first employee to come in and start the job made such a mess and caused so much damage that he was quickly asked to leave and was soon replaced. Guy immediately came by to assess the situation and ensured everything would be fixed and or replaced. Within a couple days the tub was installed, repairs started and damaged products replaced. Because of the situation from the start, this project took much longer to complete than it should have, but eventually there was a functional tub and shower for us to use. Throughout this ordeal, every question, concern and problem, Guy was there to handle each concern. Although this started out a bit of a nightmare, Guy made every effort to ensure the end result was a positive result. He stood behind his product, workmanship and kept coming back as often as required, keeping his word from the beginning. Although this was not a great experience for us, I see many other people with great reviews and I will say that Guy is a "stand up" businessman that could be depended on until completion of the project.

After researching my options on homestars and having several contractors quote the job, we chose to go with Renew-stairs. Moe & Quinn were great. Moe came to our place for the quote and was competitively priced. He answered all of our questions and made a few suggestions as to what would work best with the difficult turn at the top of our stairs. Quinn did the removal and installation of the new railing. He did a great job and we are pleased with the end results. Both Moe and Quinn were pleasant, professional and both showed up on time (which is nice change to some of the contractors we have dealt with in the past). They both went above and beyond our expectations and the job at hand. We have received several compliments on the railing and it's only 4 days old. We would definitely use both Moe & Quinn again in any future jobs.

We chose Garcon after several quotes, not only based on value but because Jason (their estimator) was on time, friendly and understanding of our needs. We had them repair a floor joist in our living room ceiling and replace our entire living room ceiling. The work they did was excellent, especially the mudding that Victor did. The guys that took out our ceiling did a great job as well, protecting our floors from any damage. All the workers were polite, professional and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. We dealt with several people from Garcon, Jason always got back to us promptly when we had questions or concerns. The taper Victor was always on time and very polite. However, he was the only punctual worker. The first day we were told the workers would be at our house at 9:30, we called at 10:30 to see where they were and was told they were on their way. They showed up after 11:00. The second day the drywall was delivered at 8:30 and we were told the installers would be here at 10:00. We called at noon and were told they were on their way and should be there soon. At 2:00 we were told they should already be there and at 3:00 we were told they were not coming, which wasted an entire day off of work. Day 3 installers came and installed the drywall ceiling. They did a very good job, but did hit a wire when cutting out the junction box causing an arc. At this time we only knew that there was a spark and nothing more. Day 4 and 5, Victor showed up on time and did a great job (to which we have received several compliments). We were told that the job would be done by Day 4, but it was not completed until Day 7 due to the missed day. The job was completed and we went to install the dining room light and found that it no longer had power. We called Larry at Garcon to have them come in and take a look at it. He stated that he would get in touch with the electrician and call us back. We had to call him back three times through the week to ask what was happening, as he did not call us back. I spoke with Larry again and he said that he was still working on this and would call me back, he didn't. We then emailed Anthony who stated that he was working on this for us and that it would be taken care of by the end of the week. On Saturday, we still had not heard back from Garcon so we investigated ourselves, saw that the installer had cut through the wire (hot) and cut the casing off another by accident when cutting a hole for the junction box. We had this fixed outside of Garcon as we had waited a week for a resolution. Ultimately the end result was great and looks awesome. We have received several compliments on the final results and we are very happy with the way it came out. We just wish we didn't have to stay on top of them (harrass) so much to get the work completed within a couple days over the verbally quoted number of days.

We contacted several different roofing companies and Vasil got back to us within 15 minutes. He was very polite, professional and accomodating with regards to the date and time that we could have the work done. Despite it being a small job he made the time to ensure it was handled in a timely manner. Unlike a lot of other contractors that we have dealt with in the past, he showed up on time, completed the job the quickly and adaquately, left the site clean before leaving and went above the job we hired him for by inspecting our roof and shingles at no additional cost.
