I cannot say how happy we are with Viktoria Movers, AGAIN. I called them 2 yrs ago to pack and move my 1st floor while we renovated, and they were excellent. Delicate china all intact, the giant heavy glass and brass china cabinet-- scary for me to watch but they didn't even break a sweat. So when it came time to move to a new house this year, I didn't hesitate to call on Viktoria again for both packing and moving. I thought the estimate was great-- they gave a high and low of the range (I assumed that we would come in on the high end, we have a LOT of stuff). On packing day, showed up right on time, got the lay of the land, and got down to work. Jammed all day, and got the entire house (which was a semi-detached, but every closet was FULL and the basement, while organized with lots of shelving, was quite full also) done in the time they said they would. They advised that we'd need another guy and another truck on moving day, which we both appreciated the professionalism and of course approved, and on Moving Day, again, came right on time, and got down to it. Loading was quicker than my husband (a former mover) expected. Unloading at our new house took a bit of time b/c of the stairs and some narrow passages, but they moved like a well oiled machine. My husband and I helped direct traffic, and we got it done well before dark in a reasonable amount of time. Every interaction I have with Viktoria Movers is super professional and also very friendly. They take the time to listen to you and work with you, they are very patient and know that moving is a stressful time. They answered all my questions in the time leading up to the move, and even after the move as well. I recommend them to everyone I know in the GTA, and my husband has recommended them for office moves as well. Keep up the good work folks!

I found Tom through Homestars but he was also on the list of home inspectors that my real estate agent gave to me, and she only gave me names of people she's worked with and trusts. Tom did a wonderful job, from the first moment I called to arrange the service, through the inspection and report, to giving me additional information and talking with me after the report was delivered. He is patient and knowledgeable, and does not condescend or talk down to you if you don't know what he's talking about, whether it's part of the process (which was all new to me) or parts of the home (which are not). The inspection service itself was VERY thorough. There were known issues with the property, which I made sure Tom was aware of so that he could pay special attention to them (should we buy or not buy) and of course, he also noted and commented on the level of severity of everything he found, including all the things I didn't yet know about. I was particularly pleased that after each floor was inspected, he took me through it and talked about everything, good, bad, ok, whatever. I felt totally confident that I understood what we were getting into, what we would have to do to remedy the situation, and that I could explain the inspection and the report in detail to anyone else who would ask. You want Tom doing your home inspection-- you will feel 100% comfortable with the knowledge he gives you and how to act on it.

Last night, our double sink backed up, so we called Mr. Rooter of Mississauga right away, to schedule service for the next day. The call taker was extremely calm, helpful, and polite. This morning, the dispatcher called to say Doron the plumber/technician would be here between 2pm-6pm. Later, I got a call and a text, to let me know that Doron would be here between 2pm-2:30pm. And right on time, Doron arrived. He was very polite and professional, and checked all the possible areas (clean-out in the basement, and then the sink pipes). He advised me about the overall state of the pipes, and then determined that we would simply need to snake the pipes starting at the kitchen sink. He confirmed pricing with me before starting work as well. He was very careful to clean up after himself, and made sure I knew about all relevant pricing, discounts, products I should be using-- anything helpful. I always call Mr. Rooter of Mississauga when I have a plumbing issue-- and this kind of great service is exactly why I will continue to do so!

We’ve just completed a kitchen renovation (and then some) with ATD Contractors, and we cannot say enough about our positive experience working with this entire team. Our renovation was somewhat forced upon us by a dishwasher leak disaster that ruined the floors in the open plan kitchen/living room of our 20yr old house. We had friends who had worked with ATD and raved about them, so we called Joe and he was onsite with Milton to get our plan going that same week. We had been thinking about what we would want if we were to ever renovate (assuming it was years away), so we were able to work with Milton to incorporate some of our dream elements into his wonderful plan. We wanted to ensure that everything went according to the project plan, and Joe, Justin, and Milton were very communicative and worked closely with us at every step. Things we were responsible for, we ensured that we did quickly so that we didn’t hold up the project, and Joe managed each team member’s schedule to maximize efficiency and guarantee that not only were we working to the plan, but we actually were AHEAD of schedule! A renovation isn’t just the project plan of course—I was extremely pleased with the quality of work of every team member who was on site. From the fast and clean demo, to the electricians, the drywall/plastering, cabinet fabrication and installation, installing our new floors, plumbing, and painting, painting, painting! – the ATD crews and sub-contractors really lived up to all my friends’ recommendations, as well as their company name. Every detail was attended to—Joe or Justin came by the site almost daily, and always responded to any of our questions. The guys on site knew what was coming next (that day, the next day, etc) and made sure that we felt comfortable talking to them about any question or issue. I really appreciate that this company works smart—they are quick to email or text, and thus stay in touch and on top of any situation that might arise. We love our new kitchen, floors, smooth walls in the powder room, and fantastic paint job everywhere! We are already planning our next project(s) for ATD, and have recommended them to all our neighbors and friends.

I had 6 antique dining room chairs that suffered water damage from a leaking dishwasher (they were in the basement, and got "rained" on). Jeff was super easy to work with, first via email to show him some of the damage, and then of course in person. He provided an estimate so that I could make an insurance claim, and worked with a great apholsterer for the padding on the seats. The work Jeff and his team did was just stunning! The chairs are better than ever, and back in their rightful place in the dining room. I highly recommend Jeff for any refinishing work!

I bought an online coupon for duct cleaning, knowing we'd need it eventually.. Well, we wound up renovating the kitchen and much of our ground floor, so I scheduled the cleaning for just after he finish of the reno. The scheduling was simple, and then Paul and Johnny who came onsite were super professional, friendly, and explained everything they were doing. They worked very cleanly, and showed me pictures from inside my vents, before and after the cleaning. Wow! Soooo glad we used this service! They also recommended the filters I need for ongoing maintenance, and made sure there wasn't a question unanswered before they left. I highly recommend this company, and will use them again in the future!

We contacted Carlo at Mondo Landscapes to see if he could take on fixing up our unusable backyard. We had 2 main issues: we had replaced our mud pit a couple years ago with pea gravel, but were NOT happy with it anymore, and wanted to finally get decent sod in place. Also, we had interlock done but the original installer never put in a proper border there. Carlo was able to come over quickly, do his assessment, talk with us about what we wanted, what our options were, and how he was going to achieve what we needed. He is very communicative, via phone and email, and emailed us a detailed quote very quickly. He even researched different sod options for us b/c we do have 2 dogs and we asked about different available varieties. On the day the work was done, the team was VERY professional, everything went exactly according to plan, and they left us with clear care and use instructions to ensure that our sod takes good root and we will be happy with it long into the future. We're already trying to think of other projects the Mondo team could do for us in the upcoming years!

We needed some help changing some plugs to include USB, and our kitchen fluorescent light was acting up as well. We searche homestars and decided to call Java, and they were very responsive-- called us on Sunday and came over on Monday morning. Pavel and his assistant were super! Looked over all the tasks, went out for a bit to get the right parts, explained everything they were doing before, during, and after. Cleaned up, made very little mess to start with, used drop cloths where necessary. I'm really very happy with the service, I feel confident in their work, and I would definitely call them again for any electrical job I may have at this house or any other in the future. Highly recommended!

I was looking for someone to paint the trim and windows of our brick semi-detatched house in Mississauga. Some people I spoke to were already booked up for the season, or couldn't do 2nd floors (?). Alex gave me a good "approximation" by phone, then came out and did a great estimate, and also set very realistic expectations for us (what he could and couldn't do). We agreed and he sent 1 painter who did a great job, checked in with me frequently, and finished a bit early! I would definitely recommend Creative Painting and will be using them for my next jobs.

We decided to clean out the basement--extra tv's, old dryer, a table, and some miscellaneous things... We called Got Junk and set up an appointment. Well, we received a call from Daniel 2 days before our appointment, letting us know the truck was in the area and if it was convenient for us, they could come by right away. I hesitated, because our stuff wasn't sorted from what we were keeping, but Daniel said No Problem, the guys were expert in "point and shoot"! Within the hour, 2 great guys showed up-- they were SUPER courteous, cheerful, respectful. Within minutes, they assesed the pile and gave me my estimate on price. Then they got to the job at hand, and within a half-hour, they took everything I wanted them to take, and my final price was right between the high and low of the estimate they gave me. I would totally recommend this service, it was exactly what we needed-- and I too asked "what happens to the stuff" and they do recycle whatever they can, whether it's a functional microwave or using the old dryer for it's scrap metal value. I felt really good about that! Thumbs up all around!

What could this company do to improve their services?
The guys work really hard in all kinds of weather and conditions-- you should provide them with a cooler and some refreshments in their truck!
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Using Got Junk couldn't be easier-- I really didn't have to lift a finger, and basically just stayed out of the way until the job was done. I was particularly glad that I didn't have to move the stuff around before they came-- I'm sure it wouldn't hurt, but they understood my instructions (take this and this, leave that) and it worked out fine.
