Within a couple of hours of calling our home insurance company and letting them know of our neighbours car destroying the bricks and side door around our garage, Burke's sent Alan to look at the damage and another company late on a Friday evening to clean up the debris, secure everything and make our home feel protected again. In the coming weeks, Burke's and its great team, along with specialty contractors and engineers came in and brought our house back to a condition it would be hard for an average person to see any damage was done. This included: - Reframing the structure - Redoing the electrical work in the damaged area - Bringing in a structural engineer to file a work permit with the city and who would come to review the work several times - Rebricking the exterior, and ensuring the tinting matched a 30-year-old colour - Ensuring the security system was working at all times and re-installing the side door intercom system - Getting new matching side door and garage window to match the rest of the house - Drywalling and matching paint in the interior of the garage and home where damage was done. - Getting an awning/aluminum contractor to reinstall the damaged areas with new aluminum, also matching 30y/o colour schemes. Great work all around. Plus they keep the work site clean every day before leaving. Everyone was licensed, easy to speak to, and respectful to the property. Best of all, when Burke's said they would come, they came on time --- so we were not waiting around needlessly.

We've lived in our house for over 25 years. Previously we had used Gates Wildlife, but in 2011 during a reno, we couldn't get them in quickly and Pesticon came to remove mice quick enough for the contractors, after finding them on Homestars. In 2016, we called Pesticon again to remove a dead raccoon. Late this spring we noticed a smell coming from the attic, so I called Pesticon again. They gave us a loyal customer discount and scheduled an appointment. The day before the visit we received an email confirming the appointment and today Andre came EXACTLY on time as soon as the 1 hour arrival window (9:30-10:30am) started. He was professional, took care to walk around the home and was careful with his ladder along the circular staircase. We couldn't ask for more. He looked around the attic three times, removed the odors source, and help abate the smell. He then walked around the outside of the house and helped block entry ways for future animals/birds. Very reassuring. We gave us a better price than anyone else quoted and even better than we hoped for. Loyalty does pay. I won't even bother getting quotes from anyone else in the future. Great service.

This is the second time within the last 5 years we've used Euro-Seal (3rd time if you count the company's work on my sister's Toronto home). As usual, Len came over for a coffee with the sample books and guided us through the process. Very reassuring. He scheduled the installation date for more modern front doors, matching side doors, a couple of windows and and sliding door for the backyard walk out. Installation date arrived exactly on time, installers kept the house spotless and did the work over a couple of cold winter days. They even brought in a heat blower, to keep the cold out, and the house warm while the installation happened. Everything looks perfect, and over the winter, the house has a lot more light, the doors work smoothly, and the early 90s look to the entrance way has been brought into the new millennium. The hardware, latches, handles, and keys also all work well. I wish Euro-Seal had some smart-home upgrades (Schlage or August dead-bolts, etc.); but I realise that companies don't want to have to provide IT technical support post installation if they can avoid it. Our only real issue, probably because of the cold weather during installation, was there was some debris (plastic shavings, caulking, etc.) outside of the home and necessitated some clean up around the front garden.

I learned of this company from a friend who uses them for his rental properties. My home, near Richmond Hill is about 50% carpeted; and after 5 years of having a drooling and shedding dog, desperately needed its carpets steam cleaned. Imran showed up early, was quick to set up, did a few little extras and kept service and cleaniness in mind (even always using indoor shoes with plastic covers and filling his machine from only the downstairs taps). He really didn't ask for anything; and didn't try to add extra fees for deodorising treatment, spot removal, cleaning a few extra rugs or even doing a couple extra steps that were not in his original quote. He did a couple of large hallways, 3 rooms (including the large master and a family room, plus two full staircases with carpet runners. The carpet looks new! Very happy. I will use the company more often, and not wait 5 years+ next time. The company does offer a few extra services like junk removal and commercial cleaning. I'll write a review of the junk removal in the future once I try it -- probably in the summer.

Collects Carpet Cleaning

In January, Gates sent a rep to remove a raccoon and block in the hole in our roof. They had been to the house before years earlier, and we had a great positive experience. This time the rep. didn't want to disturb the raccoon and just installed a one way door. And thanks to the mild winter he examined the roof, etc. After a week went buy, they came back to seal up the One way door since I hadn't heard any noise. After the first service, they up-sold some pest control treatment, I really felt he did the absolute minimum for the extra fee. I had to plea with him to treat some common areas and the garage. In the attic, he didn't want to do much since the raccoon was there. We ended up having to call another company a week ago, due to the mice (and I hope another raccoon that had been decomposing) and smelling up the attic area. I know Gates is a great company and our first experience was AAAMAZING (also a removal of some baby raccoons, and a one way door for the mom to come out and move her babies). The most recent visit, was much less than I expected from a premium priced service provider. It was also a little harder to get them to come in quickly (a 2-3 day wait) versus the company we just used (about a 12 hour wait). Regardless, of the company, it comes down to the personnel they send to your home. As an animal lover, I understand balancing the needs of wildlife, with that of the homeowner; but I really felt the lack of effort was out of laziness and/or lack of care/training, versus the best resolution.

Second time using this company. Company was very quick to send a couple of people over, remove a dead raccoon from the attic, treat against apparent mice and examine the property and roof for anything else. Staff were great.

We interviewed 3 window companies, consulted HomeStars, references, etc. The Euro-Seal Sales Manager seemed attentive and professional. He matched the price of a competitive bid. The windows themselves look really good and the handles & latches seem better than most competitors. The start of the installation was on time. The after sales support has been very good.
