Fridge stopped working. I called Capital Appliance and they sent technician that afternoon. Yuri identified the problem and returned at 0800 early next morning. Outstanding service and highly recommend Yuri!!

Capital Appliance was quick to send out a repair man who was able to assess the problem. One of the burners of my Jenn-Air glass counter top stove wasn't working, and as it wasn't the switch, it was determined to be the element. A new one was ordered, which took 3 months to arrive. Andre returned to complete the repair, but when he opened the cassette we saw that there was a serious problem with the wiring of the other burner. It was an assembly fault. Thank goodness he was able to fix it, as well as replace the burnt out element, and all is good. I am grateful to Andre for his excellent work.

The service technician did a fine job yesterday. The fridge is working and the repair was completed successfully.

Having said that, I do have some concerns I would like to raise:
He was late. Originally scheduled for 10:30, he arrived at 12:30. I called the dispatcher at 11am to confirm when he was coming.
I didn't receive an estimate before the work was completed. The work was done and I was then asked to pay.
The repair is too expensive. $350 for the installation of an off the shelf part is too much. The technician's labour rate is too high. He was onside and I was charged $200. A labour rate of $200 is much too high for this time of work. The markup on parts is also too much. I was charged $112 for a small part which I later found online for $30. (I don't expect to pay online prices for parts that a repair person has onhand, this feels exorbitant.) I would expect this repair would be closer to $200 ($70 parts, $120 labour).
In summary, while I have no complaints about the quality of the work, I won't be using them or recommending them again due to the way the work was priced and quoted.

Stove control panel needed to be replaced. Had not used Capital Appliance Repair in the past but was extremely happy with their service. Arrived in the timeframe given, determined part needed to be ordered, came back late in the day to make the repair. Will be contacting Capital Appliance Repair if needed in the future and will recommend them to friends and family.

Andreas, your technician, was very competent and efficient.
We would definitely deal with him again, as he was also personable.
We wil be daling ot order a part and hopefully we will get the same technician to install it.

Freezer not cooling. Oleg diagnosed it as a faulty starter; the compressor wouldn't start, or if it did, it wouldn't keep running. Had to order the part, which took over a week to arrive. The fix seems to be holding!

The dishwasher stopped working just after the pandemic started. It was out of commission for 17 months. This was only scheduled as a diagnostic call, but the technician had it working again in ten minutes and corrected a couple of other problems left by previous technicians — a badly-routed drainage hose and a drip in the shutoff valve on the water supply line. Total time about 20 minutes. He wasted no time and cleaned up when he was done. Very happy with this repair!

After the technician provided excellent service on a broken double oven, I called about a fridge making terrible noises. The fridge is 21 years old, so he recommended against a new compressor, suggesting as an alternative a short term fix to allow us to find a new one. We are very satisfied.

After quickly diagnosing two broken convection fans and an element, the technician explained how the breakdown occurred and how it could be repaired. After receiving the parts, the technician expertly replaced the fans and element, explaining what was going on. He is very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to deal with. The stove is back to normal. I highly recommend the company.
