Their technician came for inspection at an agreed cost of $100, while looking took out garbage from drain pipe, spending few minutes, demanded $280. When protested he called a lady and they spoke in a foreign language. She threatened to send my file to recovery. Her tone was highly disrespectful and unprofessional. Feeling being fleeced.

Hi Brij,

The service charge for diagnostics of the issue is $100 as you were aware of before. Once the diagnostic was completed, you were informed that the repair would cost $250 and agreed to pay this amount. As you agreed, the technician moved forward with the repair and the dishwasher was fixed back to working order. After the repair was completed you mentioned you needed approval from the insurance company and asked if you could pay $100 and pay the rest in a week. It was explained that we do not normally allow this as we must take payment up front, but I gave you an exception to pay the rest in exactly one week.

After a week you said you still needed more time to hear back from the insurance company and did not want to pay the final amount. As I had already allowed a week past when we normally would collect payment, I informed you that this would not be possible and we would have to collect the payment then. You agreed to pay the rest of the balance, but asked me to change the date of the invoice to that day’s date. I informed you that doing so would be fraudulent and I could not do that. I hope you can understand that we did our best to help you by allowing you an extra week to pay, and the dishwasher was repaired back to working condition.
