My washer stopped working after a move. Every company I called was only available to come in 3-4 weeks. This company came the next morning, great service. The repair person answered all my questions and gave me good advice on proper maintenance. He fixed the problem ( clogged pump) quickly and with no mess. The cost was a bit expensive, but for next day repair, I expected it to be a bit more.

Capital Appliance Repair had a technician visit my house within 1 business day of my calling in to have my dryer's power cord replaced. The only significant delay in completing the repair was waiting for a part that had to be ordered and shipped from Toronto.

The technician was polite, to-the-point, and professional, and pricing was very reasonable.

My only suggestion for improvement would be as follows: although I called in with a specific, known problem with the dryer, it would have been soothing to know that the technician reviewed the other dryer components and determined they were all still in good working order. I don't really recall the technician doing that - not to say he didn't, only that I don't recall him discussing it with me.

Very happy with the service. Alex called to inform me that he was close by and arrived before the time period that was provided. He quickly resolved the problem and then advised me what to try should it happen again. I also appreciated that he removed his shoes before coming further into the house and was very tidy.

We needed to get our washer's front-load seal replaced. Not an easy job on an LG machine but Ilya managed to do it. He showed up on-time & was a very pleasant gentleman. Service from appointment set-up to payment was easy & professional. Highly recommend this business.

The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and did repair our dryer. However, the part (heating element) that was replaced was billed by Capital Appliance Repair at $215 + taxes. The exact same part from a reliable part store in Ottawa sells for $140 + taxes. I asked about the difference given the parts are identical and from the same manufacturer, but never received a clear answer. Total cost of $440 to install a $140 part was in my opinion too expensive. Despite being happy that my dryer is now working again, I would not recommend this company due to the mark up on parts and expensive labour.

I was very pleased with the service I received yesterday. The repairman explained what was wrong with my refrigerator, what he was going to do and showed me what he had done. He also offered ideas for mitigating future problems. Yuri was extremely polite, pleasant, thorough and reliable. I will have no trouble using this repair service again, if needed!

Dryer had no heat. Called Saturday morning and received same day service. Technician, Iuri, arrived exactly within the time window I was given, diagnosed the problem and gave me a very reasonable quote. He said the part would take about 5 days but on Monday, he called and said he had the part and would be over within the hour to finish the repair. Such a pleasant experience dealing with this company, from start to finish.

Refrigerator was not cooling. Freezer was fine. The technician found that the freezer compartment was frosted over preventing cool air from circulating up to the fridge. He defrosted the freezer quickly with a steamer and tested that that was the cause. He explained everything he was doing and was very polite and tidy.
That fixed the problem.

I highly recommend Capital Appliance Repair (CAR). Our fridge went down. I called CAR and was promised next day repair, but if an opening became available that day they would call me. Well, i was very pleased to get the call a short time later that a service man would be by between 3 and 6 that day. In fact, the serviceman showed at very soon after 3. He explained everything up front. The cost. The likely problem and associated costs with each. Lucky for us it was the least expensive part that had failed. It only took him about 3/4 of an hour and he was done and cleaning up. I'll admit it was expensive but worth it to have our fridge back.

I am very satisfied with the service I received from your technician Yuri. He arrived on time, was very professional and honest and was able to repair the fridge which is still working from yesterday.
