Rick showed up in 45 minutes as promised. Reasonable quote given after inspection of 2 bath rooms. Work completed and tested okay in 20 minutes in a professional manner. An efficient service provider worth recommended.

About a week ago we had a unusual leak in our basement. The connection pipe from the city line coming into our basement, that attached to our water meter, had slowly rusted from the inside out, and finally cracked. At first it was a trickle of water that soon turned into a river. Within minutes we were ankle deep in water. Unfortunately the break was before the main shut off valve to the house, so we had to put in an emergency call to the city to shut off the water from the outside. We had to establish a path for the water to flow into the drain while we waited, or the water level would have risen past the main floor within the 90 minutes it took for the city to arrive. It was close to midnight when we finally got control of the situation, and now it was time to find a solution to our problem. We never had to call a plumber before, so we were terrified of all the horror stories. We had no reference points so we had to rely solely on the online reviews. Everyone we called, we explained the situation indicating that it wasn't a regular break, and it was in a very difficult area. Most plumbers were not even familiar with how pipes ran into residential homes in Toronto, and thought digging into our basement was essential, which would cost us thousands of dollars. We were almost in tears, and continued our search. We came across Rickey Rooter, whose reviews were impressive and once speaking with Rick, we were even more impressed. We explained the whole situation to him and not only was he very familiar with the Toronto water lines, but he was able to quote us a price right on the phone. We were surprised how quickly he was able to come to our house and how efficient and professional he was, not only did he fix our problem in record time, he stayed true to his quoted price, and there were no additional costs. He also wanted an update to how the water flowed, once the city turned it back on. His quick response to everything was just amazing, and definitely restored our faith. We were so happy and grateful that we came across his site, and we will always have his card on our fridge.

The mixing valve for my water tank started leaking Friday night and I had to shut it off, which meant no hot water for the house. I called 8 places, and Rick was the only plumber who actually answered the phone (on a Saturday!). He came by within an hour, explained the repairs needed and the cost. He finished quickly and answered all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed or pressured at any point, and the price was fair.

We found our pipe leaking in the basement last night due to the end cap being split.
I called several plumbers this morning but only Rickey answered the call. He was here within a few hours and fixed the problem straight away. We called Rickey to come repair a burst pipe during the thaw of the huge ice storm. Needless to say, plumbers were very very busy and I couldn't even get my phone call answered by his competitors. Rickey was the 12th phone number I called and not only did he answer, but he was over within the hour to fix the problem. Thanks so much Rickey!

With the ice storm and power outage we had shut off the water for a couple of days. When power was restored on Christmas Eve we turned the valve back on, a spout of water shot out. We were able to get it down to a trickle and started calling plumbers at around 4pm.

Rick was the 4th call or so and was immediately helpful - guiding us in the steps we needed, calling the city for outside shut off, etc. He waited over two hours for the city to show (no problem on our end as so many people needed support with the storm!) and fixed all of the issues we had quickly. Highly recommend this professional. We're in an old house, so I'm sure we'll use Rick again.

A few weeks ago we discovered a leak in our main pipe that was causing flooding in our basement. We were unable to use any source of water due to the leak and needed someone to fix our problem quickly. I came across Ricky Rooter on the internet and thought I would call and see if I got a call back early the next day. Not only did Ricky answer the phone at 11pm at night but he offered to come over immediately to look at the problem. Seeing as it was late we decided to wait until the morning. He fit us in and showed up on time. I was very impressed with how considerate he was throughout the initial contact and professional he was during the service call.

He came in and spent time accessing the issue and providing me with a very clear explanation of what the problem was and what he would need to do to fix it. Ricky's costs were very fair and much lower than we expected considering the work to be done. He stayed that morning to complete the work that needed done and even did a couple of other add on projects for us.

At the end of the visit he advised me of additional work that needed done with reasonable time lines and a cost. There was no pressure and I felt like I was receiving a very honest quote on work that we knew needed done.

I would very highly recommend Ricky Rooter for any job needing done and would not hesitate to call him again for any work needing to be done. Very professional, friendly and honest individual. I have already passed his name onto family and friends.
