We are very disappointed with the work that has been done as we now understand it far better. Originally a contractor from Kingsway Property Solutions knocked on our door telling us our chimney needed tuck pointing. He took me outside and pointed it out and he was absolutely correct that it needed doing. He took time to explain the issues with water ingress if we left it so we agreed to the work. Original quote was $350 for tuckpointing. When the work started we were then told that the mortar was so bad that the chimney needed to be dropped and capped. Quote grew to $1500. We asked that it not be dropped the entire way because we felt it would look odd and it was agreed to instead drop it halfway to where it was safe and retuckpoint any remaining mortar. Because the chimney was not being taken down the entire way the contract agreed to a slightly lower price of $1250. The job was finished but I did not notice that the tuckpointing on the remaining chimney had not been done. It was pointed out by 3 separate contractors all of whom knocked on our door in recent weeks to tell us our chimney needs fixing. I immediately contacted the Kingsway to discuss this with them, sent them pictures and asked them what they would like to do about this. I just got off a call where they agreed "the chimney doesn't look great", and that yes it needs tuckpointing but that they only agreed to tuckpointing the top half of the chimney and not the bottom half (not true - our verbal "quote" was for the entire chimney) and that they would not return to complete the job. They didn't even offer to come and do the work correctly at an additional cost. It was just a refusal to even come by and put things right. I didn't argue knowing suspecting that the job would not have been done properly had I insisted. I am now faced with hiring a new contractor to do the job that Kingsway originally knocked on my door to do.
The contractor was very nice while on site but their final bill was almost 4 times more than their original quote, they left the job half done and so badly that other contractors have spotted it from the street and told us this work is concerning and very poorly done. Mistakes and misunderstandings happen but a person is measured by how they put things right and, as such, I absolutely cannot recommend Kingsway Contractors for any work at all.

*The attached picture is AFTER the work described above has been done. You can see the chimney dropped and capped but also the large amount of mortar still missing from the brickwork all of which needs to be redone.

Kingsway Roofing replaced our shingles back in the Fall of 2013. They are still in top notch condition in 2022. Backstory: We suddenly had leaking in two places in our house which we knew meant a new roof was in order. We received quotes from a number of well known roofing companies but their quotes were extremely high and their customer service left us wondering if they were more concerned with the sale than the actual job. Peter from Kingsway came and quoted us about 15% less which made us realize the extra cost was having a separate sales force and a glossy brochure. We decided on Kingsway. Peter also was the only one who offered to put tarps on the leaking parts of our roof until the date of the roof re-do. So glad we decided to go with Kingsway Roofing. The job itself was professionally done. All old shingles stripped and removed. Waterproof membrane was laid on the entire roof, NOT just the 3 foot minimum required. Drip edges installed. The new shingles were also installed perfectly. Cleanup was complete and done quickly.

Peter is very knowledgeable roofer. I har mold in attic. Have got 4 contractors quote but he was a only one who find root cause issue and provode a solution.
He and his team have done an excellent job for a reasonable price.
He replaced entire roof including plywood and shingles.
Very happy with this job and definitely recommend them.

We got approx 5 quotes for our roof, rangeing from $6000 to $10000 and using different types of material. Kingsway was the middle of the pack but more so they had the best quality of material and service. They came when they said they were coming and did a great job. Added vents because we needed them and did some other fixes they thought was necessary without charging us. The work was done well, on time and very clean. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof.

The quality of workmanship was excellent. I got 5 quotes and Peter's offered the best value. I stayed home to make sure nothing was swap out and did everything as per the contact. His team cleaned as they went. My new roof looks great. Peter was great!

I had my roof done by Kingsway Roofing in 2009. Valerie was very prompt and professional. He explained every feature of the installation, materials that will be used and why they will be used. He returned calls pretty well immediately. His quote was the best and the materials and workmanship are exceptional for the price.

All stages of roof and accessories where installed by quality tradesmen and there were no subcontractors involved. The work was done by KIngsway Roofing employees so that accountability and responsibility for the work was guaranteed. Valerie and Peter did the work themselves along with their crew so quality of workmanship was maintained for every step of the entire roofing and accessory installation.

Installed was a drip edge, step flashing, all new chimney flashing, bathroom vent, and other flashing, plus ice shield, underlayment, new skylight, repair of decking, ridge vent and other features. The price for all this was excellent and unbeatable. I had a lot of quotes and no other company was able to match the quality of workmanship, materials used and price.

So if you want your roof done the right way then go with Kingsway Roofing. I am very pleased and happy. Other tradespeople such as chimney and aluminum guys have all commented on the excellent quality and workmanship of my roof!

Today, I called Valerie for a quote for installation of a kitchen vent. Once again, I am not disappointed. He came within 15 minutes, gave me a excellent quote and his professional opinion about where to place the vent and how it should be installed. (Tricky, because there is not much space between the wall and skylight for installation.) I am confident that I will have the vent installed correctly so I am not worried at all, like I usually do when workers come to work on my home. And, the price is unbeatable.

Kingsway Roofing promptly returned my phone call inquiry (in contrast to many others that never called back) and gave very reasonable price. After doing my research, I wanted some better material than a basic 3-tab shingles and ordered CertainTeed Landmark, which turned to be an excellent product. Peter and Valeriy accommodated all my requests and did the job (stripped old shingled and installed new ones) in one day, the same day the material arrived from CertanTeed. The quality of the work is fantastic. (I climbed the ladder a few days later and was amazed how could they achieve absolutely straight lines on my old house where nothing was straight.) I wish other trades were that professional.

These guys were great. Did a great job while being efficient and tidy. Great job installing 4 new vents int the highest area of the roof. Quick, completed in one day and cleaned up very well.
