Fixed banging pipes and laundry sink hookup/install

This is my first home, and having violently banging pipes every time you go to wash your laundry is very unsettling.

I called Anta Plumbing because they were the only ones to openly state that they are fully licensed and insured. And even when I asked questions in regards to that before booking a service call, they answered them without hesitation and were able to satisfy my skeptical nature.

The serviceman (Edi) arrived on time, was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. After I explained the problem, and showed him what was wrong, he provided me with information about my problem and why it was occurring. He explained how he was going to fix the issue, and even pointed out and explained some of the things done incorrectly by a previous contractor which he was going to fix to make it correct.

He was polite, and asked me to turn on or off the faucets in my house so that he could test his work. Which I was happy to do for the sake of ensuring everything was water tight.

In terms of price, I think it was fair for the amount of hours he was there and the work done. Although I have zero experiences to compare this to.

Overall Edi did a great job, was fast to diagnose the problem, explained everything well, and fixed the problem in a timely manner. Now when people ask me if I know of any good plumbing companies, I can finally recommend that they go with Anta Plumbing.

Darren we thank you for your review and we are very happy that we could help you with your problem. The pipe banging you were experiencing is called water hammer. Water hammer commonly occurs when a valve closes suddenly at an end of a pipeline system, and a pressure wave multiplies within the pipe. It is also called hydraulic shock. This can cause major problems such as the banging pipes you were experiencing as a result of vibrations which can also result in pipes collapsing. We are very happy that we were able to relieve you from this noisy nightmare. We want to make sure you stay in your house for as long as you can without horrible plumbing issues getting in the way of you enjoying your home. Edi is wonderful technician and his professionalism has been noticed through his work and his recommendations to his customers. We thank you for your wonderful review and for being an Anta Plumbing customer. We look forward to helping you with your future plumbing dilemmas and we are here for you 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Plumbing

First time we ever had to call a plumber and can honestly say we had an amazing experience. Started with talking to a tech on their chat, to setting up an appointment for the next day, to having a great experience with the technician who showed up. Richard Cho-Kee was not only very profession, he fixed our leaking bathtub and kept us in the loop throughout the whole process. We originally feared calling in a plumber not knowing the cost etc, but it was the best experience we could have imagined and didn't break the bank. He was a pleasure to have in our home and we are very happy with the service he gave us. Great individual and will definitely be using this company for any future needs. To top it off, we even received a call an hour before our appointment to let us know that Richard may be a little late but would be on his way. I can't think of a company that gives you an exact time to begin within (usually at least 3 hour window) AND calling when they are only 30 minutes late. Great Service.

replaced parts for two toilets

We highly recommend AnTa Plumbing. We have turned to them twice now, once for replacing valves and once for replacing toilet parts. Everyone we have dealt with at AnTa Plumbing is gracious and knowledgeable. Today Richard arrived right on schedule (within three hours of our call), gave us sound advice and did excellent work. We cannot say enough good things. So glad to have found AnTa Plumbing.

Plumbing - excavation and drain pipe replacement

I don't usually take the time to write about a company I've dealt with, but in this case - I just have to.

Anta Plumbing is fantastic! Starting with Yuriy who quoted the job and Andrew who ran through everything after the job was completed. Very pleasant and very helpful gentlemen.

We had a drain back up in the basement and within two days, they had dug up the basement hallway, laundry room and fed a new pipe through the old clay pipe to the end of the property line. They also installed a backwater valve because we did not have one. Our house was built in 1949 so the clay pipes were just not holding up anymore and this work was necessary. The thing that I love about this company is that they did their best to minimize the damage needed to repair this problem. Another company that quoted us was thousands more and the work would have taken triple the amount of time and the damage extensive.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone for a big job like mine or even a small plumbing job - a 10 out of 10 for sure! Thank you Anta and everyone who worked on my home - you're all #1.

Much Obliged Christina!!! First and foremost we want to thank you for choosing us to resolve your drain issue. Clay pipes were used for drain since the 1800's. Clay is strong and long lasting pipes which is why it has lasted you this long. But the downside of clay pipes is that roots can grow in through the joints because with clay pipes they could not use gaskets. But copper on the other hand is a very strong new type of material, copper is a better and safer alternative to clay. Because of the work that was done on your home your pipes will be very durable and will last you long. Back water valves on the other hand deal with the sewage coming from the city into your house. Back water valves prevents raw sewage from backing up into your home through your floor drains etc. So not only are back water valves useful but they can be a life saver. In regards to our technicians, we try our best to hire the most qualified. We make sure our technicians help our customers understand the procedure of the jobs and provide information customers inquire about. We had a blast doing work for you and we hope we do more in the future. You say to you, we are a "10 out of 10 for sure!" But we think you are a 20 out of 10! Thank you for choosing us and we look forward to working with you some more! Happy SPRING! The Anta Team.

Waste Line Reconfiguration

The service is awesome. We need to lower the waste line in order to accommodate new sink. The technician came right on time and provided very reasonable estimate. The work space is very limited and he had to reach out the waste line inside the drywall and soldered the pieces inside. I was very impressed about his skills and efficiency. He did a great job to have the job well done !! I am very satisfied with the service and money well spent !!!

Thank you Art! It was a pleasure to be helpful to you. One day we had water pipe to be fixed but it was no access to it at all, we took our skinniest plumber and most biggest plumber to make this happened :) Every day we find very challenging plumbing on a job site, to organize better office girls always will ask you hundred questions to assign right technician and make sure that they have all possible material for the case to not break the work to have "quick trip" to supplier. We have a great customers who is passionately explain everything what they know and then we have a choice to make call more efficient. Thank you for been on those helpful client, we made it because of YOU! Please remember we have LiveCHAT if you have somebody getting rest beside you still can ask questions:) Have a great week, this week we will have more sunny days +16C Thursday! Happy spring from Anta Team!

Backwater valve installation

Good work, excellent response rate, reliable, prompt and clean. However the end results were not what I understood or was made to understand. The basic job was explained and written down, but without the real solution I was looking for. So while the problem is fixed, I’m faced with 2 very ugly pipes to deal with and a renovation job that I sadly cannot proceed with because of these pipes.

Occasionally terminology is misused … so make sure you understand what you are getting. Bottom line: Do not tell a plumber what you think you want based on what you have researched, allow them to tell YOU what you need.

I absolutely recommend using AnTa, just make sure you are clear before you hire them for your job.

Thank you - thank you! I think it will be great idea to make pictures from real project and put them on a web page for our customer to have an idea how BACK water Valve looks after the installation and what kind of access you will might have. This fixture is very complicated in sense of look. It is better to have outside then inside, when you will need access or maintenance you don't need to have technician or city worker inside to your basement. If City will need to use clean out they can simply open clean out before back water valve an make their work more efficient. We are glad that we were able to explain as best as we can to have better understanding about this plumbing portion. When you will be ready to make renovation on your front lawn remember you drain pipes located not so deep, and probably that is why you have that flower pot there to keep warm air inside the sewer pipe. It was a pleasure to work with you and will be in touch if you decided to remove the flower pot. Is it possible to have a picture of your pot to our web site? I want to show customer how it will look and what to expect on the end. I wish to keep every customer on a satisfaction level and each customer gives us a opportunity to make this better each and every time. Happy spring! Anta Team and our friendly office girls:)

Sewer Pipe/Drain/Backwater Valve Installation

Back in February of this year, we had sewage backed up from the floor drain in the laundry room. We tried to unclog it with Drano and snaked it but to no avail. We frantically looked up for plumbers in the middle of the night by going through Better Business Bureau website. I called the first company up (BBB accredited) that stated 24/7 emergency plumbing repairs, but there was no operator on the line, just a voice mail asking me to leave a message. Called the second one, got an operator but no callback from a technician. Called the third one and they asked for my name and address but would not give me a quote over the phone (they would need to send someone in to have a look first). Forget about that! Who wants a company that is not upfront with a customer? Guess what happened the next morning? This same company had the nerve by sending a plumber to our place to see if we still needed help, and my husband just turned him away.

Finally, AnTa Plumbing (my hero) came to the rescue. The operator on the phone was friendly and helpful. She dispatched Yuriy, a technician who arrived within 3 hours. He tried to unclog the drain but something was obstructing it, so he told us he would return the next morning with a scope camera to snake through the main drain and diagnose the problem. Sure enough, tree roots were clogging the old pipe line. AnTa sent a crew in and excavated part of the front lawn and removed the roots from a section of the pipe where the clog was. Upon further inspection, more tree roots were sprouting at different places within the pipe. We were advised that it would be better if the sewer pipe is relined, and an estimate was given without any pressure. So, we went with it and also had the floor drain replaced and a backwater valve installed (good to prevent sewage backup from the City's sewer into your home, but take precaution when the gate is shut, it also restricts wastewater from leaving your home as well).

All the work was completed in 4 days as promised and to our satisfaction. The crew worked hard through frigid weathers with ice and snow. They cleaned/tidied up the place as best as possible (couldn’t help it if there were dirt/dust here and there as it involved construction). The price was reasonable. Office staff was swift in rectifying a minor payment error. We were provided with an original invoice and a Basement Flooding Protection Subsidy Program application form. It will take 8 to 10 weeks to be processed by the City of Toronto.

We highly recommend AnTa Plumbing as they are trustworthy, punctual, dedicated and courteous.

Thank you so much AnTa, and we appreciate your professional approach in fixing our plumbing needs!

Thank you Dawn! Most of the time we have every detail out, our responds are big because we like to thank you customers with all our soul. This time (and we are really happy) you as a customer make us smile! We are here not only to tell thank you to customers but have conversation about the projects we run, stages we book, procedures we have. It make us believe that we have OUR customers, who loves their houses, who care about today and remember about tomorrow, who spent time to make search before make final decision. We believe Internet this days makes real connections company-client and it makes services better. We can ask client right here on HomeStar what was the problem, we can find the weak source and corrected it. Otherwise we will never know that BBB is still around even we are the members of this organization, that some customer are looking for plumbers on their web site. When BBB offered us payable position on their web site, we refuse to pay to be upfront of another companies just by paying more. Thank you Dawn for making BBB research for us, Now we know that we made right decision that time. We are plumbers who live at work with cell phone to be ready to assist the customers. We had another day LIVEChat at 4am with BAXI Luna failure, and house lost heat. Our dispatch was able to assist the customer over the Chat and put heat back in a 30 minutes (!) No charges, no visits, no invoices, no payments. Looks simple? It is hard work on a background of any chat, any call conversation, any e-mail respond. We work for you and we are glad that your project was exceptional and let us know when you will get REBATE from City of Toronto (just for our record to know how many weeks it will take in a reality). Please remember to have visual inspection time to time to your back water valve (check our VIDEO on a web page about maintenance). Spring is here! With warm wishes to you and your family Anta Team

Plumbing Service

No one wants a plumbing crisis on a Sunday! But we had a burst pipe at dinner time but within an hour Richard had been contacted and was at our house. He was kind, forthright and courteous covering his shoes as he came in and out of the house. He delivered quality value work. You can count on Richard!

Thank you Emma for been so generous and went us feedback to us. We are happy that our plumber did exactly what good plumber must done at each and every service call. To make every detail perfect is not always possible, but we did! Thank you for choosing us as you plumbing service providers! It is so good that clients have choice this days - not like BELL-Rogers conglomerate. There are thousands of plumbers on a market and it is very hard to find your company you can trust. We wish to be your assistants when you need help with your plumbing, drain problems or just consultations. Don't forget we have LiveChat, and when you feel to have a advice talk to us on our web page! With spring mood and warm wishes Anta Team

We had frozen pipes happened February 25 this year. Called couple plumbing companies, no luck :( All of them were able to show up in a couple days. My co-worker recommends me to call this company. I was surprised by the time frame!! The same day at 11pm I had pipes are fixed by Richard Cho-Kee, young and very knowledgeable plumber. Later I even saw him on CBC News!! I was kind of proud to be serviced by the "TV star" :) Nice people to deal with. Thank you!

Thank you Colin for your kind words. We try our best to tend to our customers as soon as we have an available technician. This year the frozen pipe rate was out of this world, the busiest winter as for frozen pipes. Hundreds of people called to have their pipes thawed. But if no one is available as quick as we are to thaw their pipes, people may end up with burst pipes. And the result of burst pipes are leaks, money and more leaks. As for Richard we cherish him as a technician and we are so happy to have a celebrity in our midst! He's an absolute joy to be around, not only is he a wonderful plumber but a great person as well. He tries to make sure all of his customers are informed of what they can do to prevent plumbing problems and what to do if these problems do arise. We are absolutely delighted that you are happy about your appointment with Richard and we hope to continue doing business with you and extend your happiness with Anta Plumbing. Thank you for your review. Sincerely, The Anta Team.
