Steve and his crew at Kara Painting are top notch. Fairly priced and always on budget. They really care about the work and are a pleasure to deal with. Steve always takes my calls and is helpful through the whole process. On a busy jobsite they require no management...in and out and on time to keep my Alair Homes projects moving!

As a realtor, I know what a quality paint job looks like in a home. I used Kara Painting personally in my own house and Steve was polite and professional. We were absolutely satisfied with the paint job that Steve completed on our entire home. Not only did he paint the walls, trim and doors, he colour corrected the ceilings where the previous owner's unsteady hand left an uneven border of paint where the walls and ceilings meet.

We had purchased our first condo but hated the interior colors. Steve gave us a really good quote and was understanding of the fact that we were dealing with major wedding expenses. He took care of everything from start to finish. He was very respectful, professional and an honest human being! I would hire him for any future projects!

I previously painted my condo myself and was unhappy with the colour and the small imperfections that go along with diy jobs. I found Kara Painting while Googling on the streetcar and gave them a call. Steve came and gave me a very reasonable quote and picked a neutral, problem free grey for me. He also suggested going with flat rather than eggshell. I was a little uncertain about the colour and sheen but trusted Steve's experience and did he ever come through. Steve painted yesterday and it it looks stunning. Perfect colour and I love the flat. Steve even fixed some of my flaws as he went. I am so pleased with the results. The job is flawless. So pleased we went with this company over all the other choices we had, as they would not have given us this standard of work. Steve shows up on time and works very meticulously. He can work in small spaces without complaint and leaves everything clean and tidy. He's the only painter I will ever use as I have total peace of mind knowing it will be a perfect job.

Steve has just finished painting the basement, which involved a lot of difficult custom cabinetry.
He did a wonderful job. What was particularly impressive was how methodically he tackled the task: from the careful way he covered the new tile floor and the fixtures, to the order in which he tackled the cabinetry, to the way he painted. It took him longer--some days were just half-days--but the results were spectacular. He's really attentive to detail, and was good at drawing attention beforehand to tricky little decisions (and at making those decisions when we couldn't).
Steve's also really courteous and reliable. He arrived every morning not just at 8 but before 8, and waitied outside in his truck until it was exactly 0800h. He responded quickly to messages, and was good at giving me heads-ups about what to anticipate.
He left the basement utterly clean. And he took and remembered to send me these great photos! What more can you ask?
This was the second time Steve worked on the house, and we'll certainly have him again. It's been fun reading the reviews that are already here and being able to add to them. Thanks, Steve!
