Reliable Home Comfort

Our AC would not start. I have used Reliable in the past and contacted them without any hesitation. They were able to accommodate us on the same day we called. Jamie and Damian called just before arriving. They were friendly and professional. They quickly pinpointed the problem with our aging A/C and fixed it. I would highly recommend Reliable. Keep up the great work!

Having been a homeowner for 45 years, I've seen my share of home service companies. Reliable Home Comfort is the best of the best and their business ethics are outstanding. Yesterday my cooling system stopped working. Rob promised to get to my home as soon as possible that same day. He kept in touch by phone and finally arrive after 8:00PM, a tired looking Rob! He would have completed the work then and there but the problem was that the needles from a too-close pine tree had clogged the compressor and it would take a couple of hours to disassemble and clean the unit. It was too late as it was getting dark. True to his word, Rob showed up today and completed the work. There was some question as to whether or not the unit was under warranty but Rob did not want any payment for his work. Where do you find someone with this caring these days? Thank you Rob and I wish you a successful summer season.

I went with Reliable based on the HomeStars reviews and was not disappointed. In 2012 they replaced our ancient furnace after it broke down in the spring with a new high efficiency one. In 2014 we added a humidifier. Each time we went with Reliable Home Comfort and they have been consistently good. And in the spring of 2015 we added a new air conditioner. In each case the job was very price competitive but not at the cost of good product and installation. They were able to offer a competitive price on our air conditioner plus we were eligible for the $400 government rebate. They responded to our calls quickly, were at our house on time, did great work and accommodated a few special requests and modifications without any complaints or difficulties. Rob and Dave are friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable about their business. I have no hesitation in giving them a 10 for product and service!

We bought our AC from Reliable Home Comfort in July of 2012 (a 10-star experience). When we fired it up last week for the first time after a long winter it made a new and unusual buzzing noise. Concerned there might be something serious wrong I called Reliable and spoke with Darryl... he arranged to come and check it out the following day. He arrived within the promised timeframe and was quick to diagnose a problem with a small electrical part. He replaced the part and now all is well.

The work was done at no charge under their 10 year parts and labor warranty and everything's working great now!

My AC unit broke down and after reading the reviews at Homestars thought Reliable would be the best option and they were located in Brampton too. Like everyone else has said the service was outstanding.
Complete test of the system to find the problem and eliminate other possibilities.
Needed a new coil, which was installed on the Saturday of a long weekend, with the job finishing around 10pm. Very impressive they would stay out so late to finish the job, and finish it properly. No rushing to get done quickly.
Price was very reasonable, all options were clearly explained and every effort made to minimise the cost as much as possible.
Could not be happier with the service, the workmanship and the price. My only niggle was it was a little hard to get hold of them sometimes and there was one missed appointment which wasted a few hours of my time. I understand it was due to a personal issue which I am fine with, it just would have been nice to have been told so I was not sitting around waiting.
Overall experience however was superb. Would not considering going anywhere else for anything heating/AC related.

I contacted Reliable for a repair job. I called first thing in the morning and spoke to Rob who indicated he was on his way to the office and we call me back when he arrived. He never called. I called back that afternoon and spoke to Rob and he told me that one of his guys was in my neighbourhood and could stop by. He indicated he would have his guy call me as soon as he got off the phone with me. His guy didn't call me for another two hours. We set up a time for him to come by and he arrived promptly. He assessed the situation, got the furnace working quickly and I paid him. I mentioned that I was interested in getting a quote for a new furnace and air conditioner. He asked me a few questions, took my email address and said he would send me a quote that night for the job. The email never came. I sent the guy a text message a few days later asking about the quote, and he apologized, said it must have been a mixup at the office, took my email address again and said he would send the quote. The email never came. The following week I called Rob and advised him that his guy hadn't sent me the quote that he had promised. He said he would call his guy and get back to me, however I never got a call back.

I was happy enough with the work that Reliable actually did, and I can see how people would give them a "10" on here. I might have too if they had ever bothered to give me the quote which I requested three times from two different people. Customer service and courtesy is definitely not at the level I would expect from a service provider.

**UPDATE**

Spoke with Rob from Reliable and there must have been some sort of mix up with the quote. He thought it had been sent right after our call, however it never ended up in my inbox. He forwarded me the quote and was quite professional about the whole situation. As a result I've amended my rating given the customer service issue has been resolved.

So glad to have found Reliable Home Comfort, it will definitely be our Heating & Air Conditioning company of choice for future needs. These are good, honest guys. We contacted them when our air conditioner wouldn’t start, and set up a service appointment. Rob got it working for us, but didn’t even want to charge us for the service since he said it was an easy fix with the wires in the thermostat. A fix is still a fix and we really appreciated the friendly service.
