Reliable Home Comfort

Our water tank failed and I didn't want to pay for rental anymore. Called about 10 different places and Reliable was the one I choose. Rob explained the different options, and he was able to have someone come by the same day. Great company to deal with! Thank you!

I am doing a whole house reno and needed a complete furnace and AC install. Reliable was the fourth company I interviewed. I say interview because I needed a team I could work with because I was moving the furnace location and the duct work I needed done was very unique in my 100 year old TO home. I wanted to keep as much space as possible and turn a once unused basement into useable space. I had a vision and Rob from Reliable was the first guy to "get it". The duct work is a piece of art and my basement looks incredible. There were some hiccups along the way so I couldn't give full marks. Gotta keep them on their toes. ;-) But Rob was amazing. I'd been getting conflicting info from other installers but Rob was clear about what I needed and he was right. The air quality is fantastic and the products are exactly what I needed. As a single woman, I have the added difficulty of dealing with the trades by myself so a special shout out to the women out there - these are good guys.

My 3 year old A/C unit received it's annual Spring tune-up today. Again, nothing to fix. Very quiet!
They sell great products and STAND BEHIND THEM. Again today, they showed up on time and completed the service in about an hour - no mess or fuss.
They are always polite and considerate of the premises.
Their name really says it all!

Our furnace stopped working and we have a small child - they came within 30 minutes, had the parts they needed (even though it was an OLD furnace) and fixed it within the hour. Incredibly nice, helpful and full of great tips. They charged us less than many companies charge just to show up (and they came right away). Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Rob Latour the owner of Reliable Home Comfort and his co-worker Jamie supplied and installed a beautiful Amana High Efficiency Furnace a week ago. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, conscientious, honest
and efficient heating and cooling company. Rob and Jamie installed my central air conditioner 3 years ago after getting 2 quotes from their competitors. They were awesome then and awesome again, with their customer service, fair prices and efficient installation. I have continued to use Reliable Home Comfort for my yearly maintenance since then. They arrive on time, clean-up after the service is completed and are consistently a pleasure to have them in my home. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

I turned off the furnace during a warm spell, and when I switched it back on it wasn't working. I called RHC because they serviced my furnace in 2013 and I was really happy with their previous work.
I asked for a weekend appointment and Rob came by. He quickly diagnosed that my furnace was fine, but it was the thermostat that needed to be replaced. Rob explained the simple process of doing that, removed the old thermostat and prepped the wires for the new unit, and recommended some good thermostat options. He offered to come back and help if I had any issues.
I was able to buy and install the new unit myself later in the day - it was as easy as Rob promised. Thanks again for the quick service and educational visit!

After a defective inducer blower, Darryl, Jaime and the gang had determined that replacing my nearly 15 year old furnace would be the better option. I agreed. The boys removed my beastly furnace, ran new 3" PVC outdoors, and even created a new line for the intake, where I only had an exhaust pipe originally. Tight squeeze and a couple of small holes in the ceiling, couldn't have done it better myself. We got better (hotter, more forceful) heating the very next day. Thanks guys, it was a pleasure working with you and your company.

I recently had a new boiler installed, and the guys came and red-tagged our furnace because there were minor condensation marks on the venting. They suggested putting in a new furnace and venting. I decided to ask the company who we rent the furnace from to come in and have a look. They said the furnace was fine (!!) and venting should either be repaired or replaced since it has been tagged! I decided to shop around and ask for quotes. After a few days of calling people and getting quotes ranging from $300 -$900plus for new venting, I found and spoke with Rob at Reliable Home Care. He agreed to come over to give a free estimate before replacing my venting. He came over within 2 days of my calling him, inspected the furnace and venting, and told me that all I needed was a minor reinforcement of the glue on the venting. No need to replace anything! Since there was a red tag, he needed to fill out and send in the paperwork. He and his associate went to Home Depot themselves , bought the glue, applied it, inspected it, and left without charging a penny! He filled out the forms with the appropriate information and sent it out himself, and sent us a copy. Who says you can't find honest, decent and helpful people nowadays?!
We were more than pleased with our service and experience. We will definitely be recommending this company to our friends. We will probably upgrade our furnace in the next few years, and will be calling Rob at Reliable Home Comfort!

(By the way, after this we had our annual maintenance appointment with our furnace company as per contract, and they said our furnace was perfectly fine! )

Our furnace seemed to randomly blow cold air this past winter. We called Reliable and Daryl came right away. Verified that the thermostat worked properly, so checked out the furnace. He felt that it was most likely the flame sensor (?), but didnt have a replacement part with him (dang -we have an uncommon brand furnace), but would get one just in case. He cleaned the one we had and told us to call if it didn't fix the issue. It worked well for a few weeks but then would randomly blow cold air again. We called and he came a few days later and replaced the part. Again it worked for a few weeks, but is back to the same old. Haven't called him back again because at this point resetting the thermostat is less of a hassle for us. But for the service he did provide, he was punctual, friendly, and reasonably priced for his time.
