Unfortunately my condo uses this company so I contacted them to come for excessive heat in which their tech came and I was only supposed to get charged 150 but I wake up to being charged 385 and the worst part is nobody in the company can tell me why all Ive been told is to contact my condo board and they will hopefully wave it ? How unprofessional that a company cant even tell me why I was charged more then double the quote for a tech to come and not even fix anything just turn off the heat how ridiculous! These people are dishonest and I would highly not recommend them

We had a similar experience as Helene in mid-June 2021.

The Reggin work is not on time, poor value and not professional.

Our condo unit experienced a heat pump issue. We called Reggin Technical Services for a repair because we paid them $105 in 2019 for a maintenance of the heat pump. They now said their maintenance does not cover warranty. So a deposit is mandatory.

At this first call, they asked for $150 deposit before the inspection on June 24, 2021. So we gave them the credit card and they took the money right away.

Upon the inspection, they asked for another $500 deposit for the valve replacement including parts and labour. They indicated that they had to order the part which would come in a couple of days. So we gave the OK to proceed.

A week later, there was no updates. We called and they said the part was ordered but not available for another week. And they asked for $1,500 deposit and indicated that they would refund the portion that is not used if the job does not take a long time. We gave the OK to proceed. So they took the money on July 6, 2021.

However, we checked the credit card and learned they charged $1831.35. We were shocked. We called to ask for explanation why the job is bumped up to $ 1,981.35 ($150 + $1831.35). This is a 400% higher from the $500 initial replacement amount.

*** The time taken is now increased from a few days to 3 weeks.

We asked to talk to the owner but we were not given the owner contact.

*** At the end they replaced the valve and the total price went from $500 to $1,397.55, i.e., Initial deposit $150 + replacement deposit 1831.35 - Refund $583.80.

If we knew it would take 3 weeks and $1,397.55 to replace the valve, we would have shopped around and wouldn't commit to Reggin. We hope you wouldn't go to Reggin as your first choice.

If Reggin would like to respond to this feedback, please return the $897.55 to us first. Otherwise your response is not needed.

The job should be within $500 as agreed before the part was ordered on June 24, 2021. The price kept changing is not acceptable.

*** We asked for a warranty written on the invoice but there is no mention of the warranty. This is not professional if the work has no guarantee.

We had been saving up some plumbing jobs and finally pulled the trigger. Shawn came from Reggin Plumbing. He arrived on time ( I like that he also called to say he was on his way) looked at my list and got to work. He was very respectful of Covid Protocol and my dog. He worked the entire time and at the end we discussed what he had done and he made sure I was happy. The entire project was easy. From booking an appointment to paying my invoice. I’ll definitely use Reggin again!!! Thanks!!!

Reggin attended my home and replaced my old Furnace and Hot Water Tank, they were well beyond their age.

I discussed that I wanted something more efficient and less costly, so Reggin designed a "combination system boiler" that replaced both my Furnace and Hot Water Tank.

This installation was easy, water was back on the same day and the new fan coil works tremendously. Both young men were courteous, wore booties in my home and protected me from Covid by wearing masks and santizing

I also have gotten through some cold months with far less on the gas bill

I would recommend Reggin for this installation any day.

Reggin has been helping us with plumbing and heating issues for over 20 years. Their service has been outstanding with top notch, well qualified people working in the field. And their office staff provides great support to its customers as well as to the people in the field. They are a valued service provider. We find we can rely on them to do things right and to do the right thing.

Reggin has been a good company to deal with. I always shop for a good price and they come right away, and always pleasant to deal with. I would recommend to my family and friends.

An absolutely horrible nightmarish company! I live in a condo. One day, my neighbor downstairs knocked on our door and brought in a service person from Reggin Tech. He was summoned by our condo management because my neighbor had leakage possibly from my sink. I asked the service person about the cost and he said it would be free to us as the cost would be paid by the condo. He spent 30 minutes or so (didn't really fix the problem completely, btw). A week later, we received a bill from Reggin Tech: $360! We tried to communicate with the company and was told that according to the agreement with condo management, costs from interior problems are paid by unit owners. That's fine. How about the whopping cost? Their explanation: $140/hr x 2hrs + tools and parts + tax. Why 2 hrs whereas he only spent 30 minutes? The time on the roads are chargeable. I searched google map. Even take the most unreasonable route, it only takes 40 minutes to make a round trip. Anyhow, we were tired of arguing and simply mailed a cheque to the company. A few days later, the same service person knocked on our door again. He said that it was their company's policy that any charge over $200 must go through a credit card. We mentioned the cheque. He denied receiving the cheque. He even denied that he said there would be no charge on his visit! Li-ar! He insisted on my providing credit card info. Otherwise he would stay in my room until it was resolved! Being a mom with a 6-month-old baby, I was really tired and a bit scared by his bullying manner. I gave him my credit card. He copied down everything, including the 3-digit security number! I've never seen someone doing business in that way! Absolutely horrible!

My heating boiler was not working and my house was getting cold quickly. Reggin's technician showed up quickly and repaired the problem. The technician was very polite and informed me of the costs before making the repair. If I ever have a problem again I know who to call.

We had a toilet bowl that was leaking and reggin tech replaced the toilet bowl for $500. The plumber did not give us a prior estimate and most of the time was spent waiting for him to come back with a new toilet bowl. It would have been better to just buy a whole new toilet for that price because our toilet is not that special.
