Adt Protectron - Out of Business

My alarm provider recently switched to Reliance as their monitoring company of choice. Twice my alarm has been tripped recently by my daughter and in both cases the monitoring company did not bother to follow up to see if there was an issue. With the previous monitoring service I always received a courtesy call within minutes to check to see if everything was OK. To be honest it makes me wonder why I am paying $20 a month for this service. While I understand that nothing was wrong in this case how does the security company know that someone isn't in my house and forcing me to disable the alarm? I would definitely not renew my contract when the term expires.

I met a rep at a home show when I signed up for some information from the company. Within the week, a rep called me, came out to my house to show me the alarm system, how it works, what different add-ons (such as key fobs) were available, and pricing structures. Withing a few weeks, the service tech was installing the system in my house. He wore booties inside my house, was very courteous, and was very fast. I was told it would be a half day job because of all the wires he had to run. But he was actually finished within a fwe hours, and I am very happy with the system. We have accidentally set off the alarm a few times, and their response time in calling us is within 30 seconds.

We contacted ADT to see if they could provide us with home security monitoring services using an existng, non-ADT installed alarm. Neil Morrow, the ADT sales representative who visited us was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough in his inspection of our existing system. He also explained all the terms outlined in the residential services agreement and answered all of our questions. We felt very comfortable signing a three-year contract.

ADT improperly installed our detectors, setting them so that even though we set the alarm for "stay" meaning we're home and want only the perimeter alarm on, the interior sensors were active.
This caused an enormous problem when we went away on vacation, leaving our cats alone in the house. We had ADT "fix" them but came home to a notice from the police dept they had 38 alarms from our house in 2 weeks.
ADT not only denied messing up, but witheld the records which would show what setting the alarm was on when the interior detectors went off. DO not deal with this company, they are not only imcompetent, but will do whatever suits them.

ADT never told me that if I moved my contract would restart all over again. The contract was for three years and when we offered to pay to get out of it because our new home already had a security system ADT refused. They said they would charge us over a thousand dollars for canceling. It was a ridiculious security system and no where in the contract does it even state what they were saying.

I have been with this company for several years and have gone through three name changes. With the last name change they never gave me new signs so I still have the second name change on my sign. If the smoke alarm goes off you have to phone the company from a cell phone to notify them of the false alarm or the fire department arrives. I had this happen a couple of times. The first time it happened I was still in my house coat and very pregnant. The land line goes dead for a minute or so when the alarm goes off. On the plus side the company will phone back and check if everything is alright.

When I first moved into my house a representative from Reliance Protectron approached me to sell their services.
I knew I wanted an alarm system and was going to utilize one of the bigger name companies, but Ifound the Reliance was providing me with everything that I needed for much cheaper than the other companies.
I've been a customer of theirs for 2 years and I am very happy with their service!

In 2009 I had adt come and install there service in my home, my mother was very ill and I had to go out of town alot to help my Dad and I didn't like leaving my Daughter (even though she was 16) alone all the time. So I felt so much better when I had the alarm system installed.....then to my amazement I found out the system had never been activated....how many people do they do this to?????? Check your systems people. I would never ever deal with them again!!!!!

Had a security system put in our home for the first time and we called ADT. Wonderful staff, especially the technician that came to our home. Took us through the alarm system step by step. New we are safe in our own home.

our family restaurant has used ADT for years and we are very happy with the service and we never have had any problems with it. They have really prompt service and always call if anything seems remotely wrong.
