Mayday came immediately, went straight to work, immediately identified the problem, which was roots completely (and I mean TOTALLY) blocking 7 feet of pipe, and fixed it right there for a really reasonable price. It was a horrible blockage and now it's completely fixed. Sorry I was too distracted at the beginning to remember the excellent, friendly and professional guy's name who did the work. He took his time to do things properly and cleared out the roots, after which the plumbing drained better than it has for a long time. He was really great at keeping us well informed of what was going on at all points, and letting us know what we had to do next (regarding calling the city etc.).

I had a blocked sewer drain, called Mayday, Roy came and provided the estimate and arranged for Viktor (with a "k") to dig. Victor (with a "c") supervised. The job got done quickly and efficiently. Because city tree roots clogged the drain I will be reimbursed 100 percent for the work. Highly recommend.

Roy showed up quickly, figured out what was going on with our trap-feeding-another-trap situation, cleared the blockage and cleaned up, did a thorough camera inspection and gave us some self-service instructions to ensure the problem doesn't recur. My sewage drain was backing up, causing an overflow at the basement floor outlet. ROY worked like a dog, till he ultimately succeeded in cutting and removing the roots of a tree that had penetrated my sewage pipe!

We called Roy at Mayday in the morning. He answered the phone, said he was on the road and would call back in 5 minutes. He called back in less than 5 minutes. He said he was going to a job and would call back to let us know when he could be here. He called back within an hour and said he'd be here around 12 noon. He arrived just before 12 noon. He came in, quickly unclogged the basement drain, and billed us the minimum amount.

How could we be anything but happy? His service and his demeanor and his telephone manner were honest and respectful.

Our main drain was backing up into the basement. Roy at Mayday resolved the issue very quickly. He took the time to "camera" the drain to ensure there was no other obstruction. He also made suggestions to avoid the problem in the future. A very positive experience.

After two days playing amateur plumber without success unclogging the main drainpipe of our house, I called Roy at the end of the day Saturday. He came first thing Sunday morning, and had the drain going in less than 20 minutes. Other plumbers had told us we needed to dig up our front yard to replace an old drain trap to solve the recurring clogging, but after having a look, Roy didn't think it was necessary and showed us how to maintain our drain ourselves so it won't get clogged again. The $115 service call was cheaper than most plumbers charge, and he saved us thousands by letting us know we didn't have to dig up the pipe, which we had planned to do in the spring at quite an expense. Emergency all for video inspection to determine blockage in drainage was done by Roy. He was punctual, very experienced, methodical, and personally interested in our needs. His equipment was top of the line, and his knowledge of the entire scope of work was exceptional.
