Home Depot - carpet cleaning.

Super disappointed. Tech trucked mud into my house. Didn’t cover shoes. Didn’t ask about pretreating stains. Left my carpets SOPPING wet - 12 hour dry time. Carpets not even clean. Wanted $ back but all that was offered was a “we’ll come back and do it again”. My basement was already jammed into my laundry room - we couldn’t afford to lose that time having them come back and waiting again without access to our entire basement.

Why would I want them to come back? The “rectifying the situation” works for the company - not the customer. I just want a refund but they said that wasn’t policy. So in a few months I’ll go back to citrus-o and have them do it again. Paying the higher cost will be worth it for the exceptional service and clean carpets.

placing item on hold for pick up-very poor customer service1098.00

phoned re: holding a garden shed for one day . I was told by employee that there were 3 left and they would put a hold on it til closing time next day . When I got to store an associate looked for hold item but was unable to locate any . There was 1 shed left that had a sold sticker on it (1 unit had already been sold , remaining unit was the display model ) . Employee suggested I should go home and wait to receive a call from the employee who I originally spoke with . I asked to speak with manager , employee contacted somebody who I assumed to be the manager who seemed unconcerned with the situation . Was then taken to a service rep . I asked if I could have a unit sent over from Burnaby where they had some of these sheds in stock . Was told they probably would'nt send one over . They asked if i could drive to Burnaby to pick one up , which was a fair distance . I asked about Langley , Surrey - they said there were 4 units left in Surrey . Service rep. attempted to contact other stores via phone (general line , not internal ) had to wait as she was put on hold for next available rep. I said to employees that this was a terrible , inefficient way to run a business and causes people to rate store poorly and if you are going to put an item on hold , the item should be clearly marked with permanent marker with name of customer and date of pick-up as any sticker/label can be removed . At this point I left store and drove to Surrey to pick up shed . Perhaps employees should have a customer service course in dealing with customers , and reminded that customers pay their salaries .

Lots of projects with Home Depot

Frequently shop at this HD and find the store to be helpful, with plenty of staff to go around. Recently ordered custom blinds and after a couple of tries, found a helpful salesperson who was very patient with me as I initially found the product range and different "features" to be a little overwhelming! When I wanted another week to think it over, I called the HD line and they graciously contacted the vendor and held my order for me. Suffice to say that I'm pleased with HD's service and understanding of customer service.

Fridge

Went through hell with this fridge, they delivered it with a hudge dent under the water dispenser. I waited weeks for a new door from Maytag. The repair guy came with new door and broke the water and ice on back order. Called Home Depot and they gave me a new fridge. yay

Sun Screen for Patio Door

This home depot is way better than the other one around my neighbour. It is bigger and has some of the best and helpful staff around. The sun screen door fits perfectly.

laminate flooring

Had the carpet removed from the two bedrooms in my suite and replaced with laminate. I liked it so much that I ordered the same laminate for the living and dining areas. When it was installed, the product looked very different from the bedrooms. Home Depot agreed to replace it and re-ordered the product. When it arrived, it did not look any better.

Ray and the salesperson in the Coquitlam Home Depot store phoned the factory, insisted that they view the product in different lighting situations before sending it out, then spread it out and checked it themselves before sending it to me again. Third time, the match was perfect.

What I appreciated most, even though it took a few months to get what I wanted - a really good match to a product that I really, really liked, the store kept at it until they were assured that I was happy.

Customer satisfaction is important to this sales person, the installation manager and the store. Much appreciated, and I would purchase other product from them because of their persistence and willingness to have me happy with their product.
