Express Rooter Plumbing

My toilet was not flushing-not fun at all, luckily we had a 2nd unit @ our place. I looked up some names in the Yellow Pages and started dialing. When I hit Express Rooter, it was jackpot. Jason the Plumber called me back with some DIY tips; being a newbie I did not know what an Auger was (a less sturdy version can be found at your local hardware store) or what was the best plunger (IT'S THE $2.00 KIND & NOT THE ONES WITH BELLS & WHISTLES!). Anyways, to make a story short, I could not manage to make headways on my own, but Jason did the work quickly, easily and same day I called. There's not alot of people that will give you free advice- so kudos to them.

I phoned on a Monday morning and someone was able to come out the same day to diagnosis problem. Repair was scheduled for the next day. I was impressed with how quick and clean everything was! I would definitely recommend this contractor.

After the excellent work that Express Rooter did on our drain pipe replacement (see separate review), we had them come in to replace a kitchen faucet, and fix a leaky toilet, and didn't even bother getting other quotes for the work.
In the end the work was great and all problems were solved but being charged over $400 for about 1 hour and 15 mintues of work seemed high. I had already purchased the new faucet myself, and there was only 2 small parts that they had to replace (although maybe these were expensive ? The parts cost was not separated on the bill).
I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, but I would still get 2 other quotes for comparison.

We had significant tree root penetration in our old clay pipes so had them replaced with new PVC pipe. Martin at Express Rooter took a lot of time to explain our options. The guys that did the work were fast and cleaned up everything so well that I couldn't even tell that the work was done by the sight of our property. But Martin showed us the new pipe with the camera scope. Express Rooter was also the cheapest quote of the 3 that we received.
My only complaint was that they decided at the last moment to go with another option of how to do the work, and it was an option that hadn't been given to us originally.
In the end everything worked out great. Would definitely recommend Express Rooter to others.

in less that two hours they had the job completed. The plumber was very knowlegable, with an accurate diagnosis before opening the pipes. They did not try to nickle and dime, quoted one price to complete the job and stuck it that. I was very happy.

We noticed a part of the carpet in our basement was wet. This coincided with blockage in our toilet, so we thought it was a drainage issue. I put a call into ExpressRooter on a Saturday night and Jason called me at 8 AM Sunday morning. I explained the situation and he discussed the estimated fees and was at our house within an hour. He was very personable, extremely knowledgeable and genuinely caring of our needs. He ran the snake through the drains and we realized they were working properly. It turned out that the issue was not plumbing related but rather due to water seeping through the foundation of the house where it wasn't properly waterproofed. Despite the issue not being plumbing-related, Jason stayed an extra few minutes, helped us pinpoint the exact location of the water leak and offered his advice. He was great to deal with, very professional. I would highly recommend this company, and Jason specifically.

Had a leak in the hose connecting a hose from a water pipe to the humidifier for my furnace.

1) Repair guy came out and just taped over the hole. A week later, the tape gave out, and the hose leaked in the same spot and ruined my wall for a second time. The phone staff was helpful and understanding, and sent the same guy out free of charge to fix the problem.

2) Instead of replacing the hose however, this time he just shortened it. A month later the hose starts to crack and leak again and ruins my wall for a third time.

3) Called and requested a new repair guy to fix it, and while friendly, he just repeated the same fix as last time, and shortened the hose again. I did insist on him replaceing the hose (for the 3rd time) since it's old, however I was told that would be more work and would have to knock down the adjoining wall (even though I have had other people in to work in the same space without a problem).

To update, the owner of the company came out and inspected, and then returned a week later to actually replace the hose properly as should have been done in the first place. He said he would make sure his employees would follow this procedure in future. Overall, I am pleased with the work as it stands now. Just wish the initial workers had followed my request. The president said he would personally address any future problems if any.

We had a blocked drain in our basement and called ExpressRooter because of their reputation for work on Holmes on Homes. From our initial conversation with Melissa in the office early in the morning, to Rob's diagnosis and estimate a couple of hours later, to the work the guys did later that afternoon, digging into our basement floor, replacing the portion of the drain that was clogged with tree roots, and sealing and cleaning everything up, the team was very efficient, courteous, and professional. I'd recommend ExpressRooter and would contact them again for any drain/plumbing work.

Called ExpressRooter for the backup of water in the basement shower drain as ExpressRooter are the official contractor for "Holmes on Homes". Rob was quick in responding and finished the job within 20 minutes. Superb customer service and Rob is very knowledgable.

I decided it was time to upgrade my old water tank to a tankless unit.I gave a call to Express Rooter Plumbing on a recommendation from my brother. He had the work done a year ago. Called them up. Made an appointment to have them come by for a look at my plumbing setup and the work needed to be done. Martin came by in the evening a couple of days later. We discussed what I wanted,what I needed and what I will need for the future as I have 2 kids. Martin was very informative. He did not push anything on me. Gave me all the info I needed and said that he would email me a quote. The quote arrived 2 days later I agreed to the work and they arrived a week later to start. A very professional job. Martin and his partner were here for a full day doing the install. Everything outside the work area was covered in plastic to protect them from the dust from the drilling. The room where the unit was installed was cleaner after the work then it was before they started. The next day Northwood heating came by to do the gas line and install a new humidifier for my furnace. After they were done all is great. I even received a couple of follow up calls to make sure that all was good. The only problem is how to get my teenage son out of the shower now that the hot water will never run out. Awesome job done by great people who really care about the customer.
