As part of a kitchen renovation project that I'm doing, I decided to replace the existing ceramic tile and hardwood floors that I had on the main floor. I contacted Joe after he was recommended to me by another contractor. Joe and his crew were fantastic. Very easy to work with and I chose them to remove the kitchen cabinets as well. Considering the amount of tile they had to rip up and sand, I expected a lot of dust but they really kept it down to a minimum. All of the flooring installers were telling me that there would be no way to save the plywood under the tile but the guys had no problems sanding it down and leaving the subfloor ready for the new hardwood.

Just purchased new engineered hardwood for my main floor as part of a kitchen renovation that I'm doing. I worked with Stephen at CDL North and everything was a breeze. Installers did a great job and I'm so happy with the end result. I will definitely use CDL again.

Can't recommend Williams Home Comfort enough, Jake was great to deal with. My furnace wouldn't come on one morning and after calling a few of the bigger players and getting the run around and sorry, we don't have availability in your area for another week (???), I found Williams Home Comfort on Home Stars. I took a chance and called them up and Jake was happy to come out same day and take a look. Definitely my new go-to professional for furnace service and repairs.

I decided to replace the wall and floor tiles in both my bathrooms. Murray was friendly, and responsive during all phases of the project. My one complaint is about the wall tiles. I bought tiles that have a 3D wave pattern and asked that he match the seams so that the wave lines would be seamless and unfortunately this wasn't done. It's definitely something that I notice every time I use the shower and can't fix without redoing it all. The mosaic tiles are not level and the grouting was left quite messy. It took me a couple of days with a knife and chisel to clean up the grout so that it looked a bit more even and professional. The floors look great. I'm a bit disappointed with what appears to be a lack of attention to detail on the wall tiles.

I hired Colz to do two jobs for me last year. The first was to move a light fixture and add a pot light in my bathroom during a small renovation project. The second was to replace the outdoor outlets and light fixtures on my exterior. Chris was great to deal with but occasionally a bit difficult to schedule with. The outdoor outlet replacement took two visits and a couple of rescheduled appointments due to some of his other jobs taking longer than he anticipated. When the electrician arrived the first time, he said that he couldn't replace one of the outlets because a screw was rusted and the box needed to be cut off. That didn't seem like an unusual thing to find in my opinion, but he wasn't prepared and didn't have any parts to do the job and sort of made me feel like it was above and beyond. It's an outdoor device with metal screws, is rust really a surprise? Anyways, took a few weeks to get someone back but the job was completed and everything is good now. I would hire them again and probably will when I get down to doing my kitchen renovation in the next year or so.

Last summer, I renovated both bathrooms in my home and had Cal-Can Plumbing replace the shower and vanity fixtures for me. They were happy to come onsite and provide a no charge quote (something larger companies were not interested in doing), and schedule the plumbing work around my tiling contractor since the shower needed to be roughed in before the new tile went on and then finished a few days later. I put in two Ikea vanities and used non-Ikea faucets. Apparently Ikea bathroom drains are not the easiest to install behind their floating vanities, but the guys were great. We had to modify one of the vanities a bit because the drain just couldn't be plumbed close enough to the wall due to the way the original pipe exited the wall, but everything looks and works like a charm. I would definitely recommend them (and have) to anyone looking for reliable, friendly, professional plumbers in our area.

I contacted Jon to have some exterior painting done on my house and deck. I called August and he was able to come out and do the estimate within the week. The company is fairly small so Jon was not only the estimator but he was out painting and assisting the guys too. Despite my scheduled date being the one day in two weeks that it rained, they came out and started the prep and kept coming back as soon as it was nice until the job was done. House and deck look wonderful. So glad I found these guys. They are professional, courteous, and just a pleasure to do business with.

I would highly recommend Hockey Maids. Their prices are extremely reasonable ($190 for 2 people for 1.5hr twice a month). The staff are very friendly and do a fantastic job. If they were running late, they always called even though I was at work. House is sparkling when they are done. Just wish the website would be brought up again.

Greg Martineau was a pleasure to deal with. I'd previously replaced a couple of windows with a big box store and the job was done very poorly and took almost a year to resolve. I asked Greg Martineau to quote the remainder of the windows in my house. The quote came in well under some of their competitors for better quality windows. The order process was quick and easy, when there was a possibility that the windows might be delayed, I was contacted to keep me apprised and then the windows were on time and setting up the install was within a week. The installers were on-time and very friendly. They left the rooms clean and did good job cleaning up both inside and outside so it was like they were never there. The windows look great and haven't had any problems.

Jason was great. I coordinated to have the water main shut off in the alley and Jason came over to replace the valve. He was on time and the replacement was very straightforward. He was friendly and easy to deal with and very reasonably priced. I had quotes from some of the larger firms in town which were closer to $450.
