We retained Rauf and Start to act as general contractor to renovate the main floor of our restored century home. It involved enclosing exterior space from an old porch and converting it to interior living space, removing a wall between our dining room and kitchen, and then rebuilding this area into a combined open room. In addition to all normal things such as demolition, installing of new insulation, framing, drywall, electrical and plumbing, the antique oak wood paneling, oak door frames and oak baseboard had to be recreated in new sections and new doorways using the reclaimed antique wood from the demolition. An old doorway from the paneled hallway had to be closed in, paneled, and stained to match the existing finishes such that it looked like it had always been there. 100-year-old iron plumbing pipes from our hot water radiator heating running down the middle of the removed wall had to be rerouted in the available ceiling and floor joist cavities. An exterior door had to be filled in and the exterior side to match the exterior of the house seamlessly. All this was done magnificently! Last, Rauf constructed an addition to our main floor which had to be built to match the existing 100-year-old restored house, inside and out, again, so you could not tell an addition had been made. An exterior wall and door had to be removed to gain access to this new space. Again, all this was done masterfully! Rauf was the perfect guy for our job. He is dependable, honest, his attention to detail is unmatched and his work ethic is of the highest standard. Raul fixed things he found behind our 100-year-old walls, floors, and ceilings (e.g., replacing joists) without charging us more. Our entire main floor was also refreshed with a new paint job and his electrician wired our 60A new hot tub. On the first day his crew was working we were surprised that they were listening to piano concertos on their sound machine. He discussed literature and philosophy with his painter, spoke several languages fluently with his various subs and became one of our family. We got him a birthday cake a month or so into our job. I could not recommend Rauf more highly. His work is truly outstanding, his attention to detail is unparalleled, his communication and style transparent, his personality and demeanor is kind and respectful, he keeps to timelines meticulously and his pricing is fair. You cant go wrong hiring Rauf. We have been recommending him to all our friends. I attach before and after photos.

Shawn was a subcontractor in our home Reno. He took on a job no other plumber would touch. They were all scared or unqualified. We took down the wall between our dining room And kitchen in our century home and we needed some hundred year old radiator pipes rerouted. He did an amazing job. Highly recommend. Very skilled and nice guy!

We got multiple quotes and met numerous masons. I was interested in dealing with a smaller business where I was meeting the people who would do the work. We retained The Brick and Stone Guys to complete around 10 brick/masonry projects around our house as part of a larger renovation of our century home. We were looking for work which once completed, you would not know it was done and looked original. Shams did wonderful work. He is a conscientious and careful craftsman who takes great pride in his work. We are extremely pleased with the end result and all our friends and guest are very impressed. The largest job was cutting a doorway through the double brick wall in our dining room to install French doors. The job involved rebuilding the brick archway and filling in a basement window below. Other work was building brick window sills, concrete window sills, filling in windows and a milk box and building a new access to a crawl space. It was a pleasure working with Shams and his crew and I could not give a stronger recommendation and endorsement.

Otie came and checked our house to give us the written estimate. He was a recommended installer from Velux. He gave us pricing and estimates for 4 different sizes and features of skylight. Because it was a smaller job he was squeezing it in and the weather was starting to get cold. He ended up coming on a weekend. He, along with his crew (three in total) was there over half a day. He did a terrific installation of this deck mounted fixed skylight on the sloped roof of our three storey 100 year old house. Around the time of his installation, we got a leak on the roof at our plumbing stack unrelated to his work. We did not know it at the time and he returned as soon as we called and he diagnosed it and he fixed it for free. We ended up having him do more work installing some new roof vents and a flashing on some plumbing stacks. Very courteous, responsive, responsible, dependable, honest. I highly recommend Otie and his team.

VERY PLEASED- GREAT SERVICE- UNICO HIGH VELOCITY SYSTEM Our 3 ton Unico HV blower and cooling is tucked away in the attic crawl space in our three story house. The 21 year old Unico system was hanging on but was getting weaker and leaking. Ron came by and gave us a fair estimate, Mark from the installation team scouted out the location. We had to create better access as the new system is larger. Mark and Alex and their teams were on site for 2 days taking out the old system, shoe horning in the new one, and installing the new compressor outside. Great quality work. Real fine young men on site. Knowldgeable, hard working, respectuful and polite. Were careful putting covers down and cleaning up. House is cold like a meat locker as my wife likes it. Highly recommend Laird and sons. Thanks for a great job!!

When we bought our house 16 years ago, Sunny's company sticker was on the old boiler furnace. We called him and he serviced it well till 6 years ago when he 30 year old furnace died. He installed a new high efficiency boiler and we were saving a ton on our heating bills. After 3 years the aluminum boiler started to leak, The manufacturer gave us a hard time but Sunny went to bat for us and got it replaced, incurring a lot of unrecouped costs he did not charge us for. We now have the new replacement and it works great. Sunny is honest, dependable, trustworthy and stands behind his work and his word. You could not ask for more from a contractor. I highly recommend Sunny and City Air. You wont be disappointed!! ( and he is not a friend or a relative)

I got a number of quotes for my job. It was taking down to ground level a 70 ft ash - 4ft diameter trunk ash tree which had succumbed 90% to the Ash boring beetle. Also trimming of deadwood in my two large oak trees. Joe was responsive and helpful in the quoting process. His quote was competitive ( we got several), he arranged a convenient time to do the work and his crew was extremely courteous, professional, efficient and cleaned up very thoroughly. With the weather, the job stretched out over two days with a large crew occasionally working simultaneously on different trees at the same time. His people are amazing. My wife and I and our kids, and at times, the neighbours and other tradespeople working in the neighbourhood would all at times just watch with amazement as his crew maneuvered around high in the canopy. Also they are clearly very safety conscious. The crew communicates in constant check ins to ensure the safe movement in the tree, passing of equipment and lowering of cut branches. All the debris was removed and they were very meticulous in the clean up and respect for our property. On top of it all, speaking with his crew members they love trees and are knowledgeable in the proper care, feeding and soil conditions. I would highly recommend Joe and his team again in a heartbeat. It was a pleasure dealing with Joe and his crew.
