I have used Summertime Pool Service ever since my old pool guy retired four years ago. I have had them do all types of services including opening , closing and repairs. Usually they do a perfect job but when there is a problem they fix it right away. There store in Markham is also very good for water testing and they do not try and upsell you on chemicals you don't need.

First saw Wight Tree Service working on my street and was impressed with their professionalism and how neat they left the site. It took a few months to get an appointment but it was worth the wait and they did a great job.

On one of the coldest days of the year my front door lock broke and I was locked out. I have never used Pre Lock before but I know of many in my neighbourhood who recommend them. I called and they sent Lee out right away. Not only did he fix my lock but my door now closes better than it ever has in the 15 years I have owned the house.

I bought a new washer and fridge from Unionville Appliance and was very happy with both purchases. I am not sure they are the cheapest but they are also not the most expensive. You get what you pay for and they have much better delivery than any other place. If you want your appliance just dropped at the curb then I guess you can shop just about anywhere. I wanted them to stack my old dryer on my new washer as well as put my fridge into a tight corner and hook everything up and they did a top job. They also are much more knowledgable sales staff than many other appliance store I have been to. I worked with Sario and when he did not have an answer to my question he tracked down the correct info. I cannot speak about their service department because I have not used them but their sales and delivery people are simply the best

Naz and crew were able to diagnose my issue and start the work within a few days. They had to break up the floor under my finished basement but they helped me move everything and did as little damage as possible. They kept the job site very neat and were very respectful of my home. It was an expensive job but it had to be done to save my house and the price was more than fair for the amount of work involved.

Very responsive and great communication right from my first call through to questions I had after the job was complete. Masonry can be messy but they did a great job at protecting my property and cleaning up afterwards. My job was not a large one but they still treated me well and were very punctual. I would strongly recommend Andrew's Restoration for any brick or masonry jobs.

I needed a new Hayward salt cell for my pool. My local pool store was sold out with no idea of when more would come in. Amazon had them but I wanted to support a local business. Pool Supplies Canada had the part in stock. Their price was better than Amazon and they shipped just as fast. I am very happy with their service.

George put in a gas line and hooked up my new barbecue. He arrived when he said he would and no surprises with the quote he gave. Not only was his workmanship great but he actually cleaned up the messy workmanship from a previous person who did work in my house. I highly recommend George.

I met the guys from Invision many years ago at the Home Show. I was very impressed with them and knew that when the time came for me to finally lift the old carpet on our stairs and second floor and replace with wood floors, these are the guys I wanted to do the job. I am a procrastinator but did hold on to their card and years later when it came time to actually do the job I hired them. I could not be more pleased with the work. They used separate teams to remove the old flooring and trim work, put in a new subfloor, install hardwood and trim and then paint everything. The coordination between all these different workers was perfect. If there was a problem I always felt that with just a single phone call I could get one of the owners Dov or Roy working on the solution. I would highly recommend Invision Hardwood & Decor.

I checked around and these guys came in at a much better price for the exact same windows as other companies. Very good service. Installers were fast and neat. Would recommend them.

I had a rental water heater with Enercare and I was willing to pay anything to get away from them. I chose Husky to replace my water heater because a neighbour recommended them. Alex came to my home showed me all my options and helped me pick which type of water heater and model that best met my needs. The price was great and installation was scheduled two days later. The installers not only did a perfect job quickly, they cleaned up their mess and a mess that had been left by a previous furnace contractor. I strongly recommend these guys.

The repair person I regularly call was not available and I needed a repair done quickly. I called these guys on a Sunday afternoon and they were at my house before 9 on Monday. Very impressed and they did a great job. Man with a Wrench is my new "regular person" to call if I need appliance repairs in the future.

I had to give this review a lot of thought because my renovation did take longer and costs went over what I had planned to spend. However when I really thought about I think Mark delivered most of my expectations. I have done many other renovations with a variety of different contractors. I would say that Mark Ashton is way above average when it comes to taking my calls and getting back to me. He also has a sense of honesty, responsibility and integrity which is refreshing. On the not as positive I would have liked to have seen more supervision and coordination of the trades. Sometimes I did not realize a trade or material delivery was coming. Mark does use a good construction management program but I could not get it to alert me when he was scheduling a trade or delivery. I also would have preferred a few more site visits by him or one of his staff to ensure better continuity. Trades also sometimes had questions which I think they should have already known from Mark. I take some responsibility for some of these issues because I was busy during this time and it probably would have gone smoother if I was always there to supervise. Overall I would strongly recommend Ashton Renovations for their value and integrity. All renovations have unexpected surprises and highs and lows but unlike some contractors, Mark Ashton will always communicate with you and not leave you high and dry.

Lampert is by far the best contractor I have ever worked with. They are very professional, easy to work with and priced fairly. They have a great showroom where you can pick everything in one place and they take care of the rest.

Juff's installed a roof two years ago ad I have been very happy with it however last weekend I noticed a small leak. I called their repair division on a Sunday afternoon. That late in the day they were not able to do anything until the following day when they told me I had to call the main office. Since the rain had stopped and no more water was coming in, I was fine with that. The repair guy alerted the owner that I would be calling the following day, Monday. Monday turned out to be a busy day for me and I did not get around to calling them however based on the info the repair guy gave the owner, they did not wait for me to call and sent somebody out to inspect and repair my roof. By the time I got home that evening the problem was fixed I didn't even have to call. It turned out that the problem was from damage caused by an animal trying to get in my attic and was not due to any defects in Juff's workmanship or shingles. I was very happy with Juffs Roofing when they installed the roof but the true test of a great company is how they deal with a problem two years after the sale. I don't know of any company that matches this level of service. Juffs Roofing is the best by a country mile.

Drainworks are real pros. This is my second time using them and once again they came when they said they would and did a great job. I have never had tradespeople who were as dependable and good as these guys.

I was very pleased with Rusco. They have good quality products but that is only half the story their installation was also excellent. There are other companies that might sell good windows and doors but they do not take the time to properly install them. These guys do provide the best product along with the best service

Barry from Inner Phase is an amazing electrician. He is the fourth licensed electrician I have had in my home this year and he found serious d efficiencies that the other ones missed. I am not an electrician however even I could tell they were problems when Barry showed them to me.

Drainworks installed two new outdoor faucets a few months ago. With the cold weather now here, I went to winterize the faucets and found that one of them had been installed wrong. It was a very easy mistake that anybody could have made. I called Drainworks and they had somebody to my home within hours to fix it and they could not be more apologetic. Mistakes can happen to anybody but what sets great businesses apart from all their competitors is how they deal with problems months after the sale. Drainworks proved that they are really a great company.

I have found with most goods and services I usually have to decide whether to go for a rock bottom price and sacrifice service or pay a bit more but get much better service. With County Appliance I did not have to make this choice Not only did they beat everybody elses price but their service was also excellent. I have bought appliances at other stores and there is no comparison with the delivery service. The guys from County Appliance were real professionals who really cared.

On one of the hottest days of the year my air conditoner died. I had never used Dave White before but after reading the reviews on Homestars I decided to give them a call. Lou came out the same day and got my system running in under 30 minutes. My wife is totally hooked on air conditioning so Lou's quick response probably also saved my marriage. Lou is the kind of star you look for on the Homestars website.
