I had an electrician install under the cabinet lighting in my kitchen and it stopped working properly after several weeks. The electrician came back and performed a repair which lasted a couple of months. I called Curt Brown electric to see if he could find a solution to the problem which he did. Curt was very punctual, polite and more reasonably priced than most. I will definitely use Curt Brown Electric again in the future and I will tell my friends and family to as well.

I have used several companies rated highly on HomeStars before, and I must say that Techno Kitchens has been by far the best. Since the “bones” of our cabinets were fine and we didn’t think it was necessary to redesign the layout of the kitchen, instead we thought it would be best to get them refaced as it would not be as expensive as getting all new cabinets. All of our communications with Techno Kitchens were great and all the people we have met were honest, caring and reliable. The kitchen cabinet refacing work turned out even better than we could have hoped for. . The work was done meticulously with an emphasis on details. I would strongly recommend this company to my family and friends! Again, I cannot emphasize how highly my wife and I think of Techno Kitchens......and we are very picky! Frank, my wife and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We hired TWG to build a walkway in front of our house, install a stone driveway border, cover our cement porch with attractive stone, and build a raised garden in front of our house. My wife and I weren't 100% sure of which colours and patterns worked the best so we put a lot of creative faith in Todd to do the job attractively based on our scant description and his vast experience with stone aesthetics and he did not disappoint. Todd's was not the cheapest quote for the job, but through our research we saw that he did his projects properly with quality workmanship. We did not want to err like so many of our neighbours and end up with an uneven walkway or any other visible flaws. The project was completed ten months ago and we have received so many compliments from neighbours on the beautiful work TWG did for us. I wanted to wait before submitting a review so I could see how TWG's work held up after the Winter and the test of time. My wife and I are extremely happy, thanks Todd!

We replaced four different windows in the front of our house using Consumer's Choice. I feel that the job was done very well and have no complaints. I am happy to have used a reputable company that has been in the business for such a long time without changing their name every now and then to nullify their warranty like some other window companies do. The windows are Canadian made, and appear very well made. The two fellows that installed the windows seemed very quiet, but I would rather they work well than talk well. I would use this company again in the future when I have more windows replaced.

I got approximately ten quotes to get my roof reshingled. Rob from the Cutting Edge was one of the lowest quotes, and he was very professional and patient with me regarding all my questions and requests. I was given a choice of shingles from several of the best manufactures in the shingle industry. The whole crew was very hard working and courteous. Our roof has a very steep pitch and I was happy to see Rob's exprienced crew work safely, paying attention to detail, and cleaning up so thoroughly afterwards. Thanks Rob for doing my roofing job so well for the price, and thank you Homestars as it was your site that led me to The Cutting Edge!

I needed a plumber for two reasons, one was a serious bath tub drain leak which was affecting my main floor ceiling, and secondly I had a toilet that would run briefly every half hour or so. I called Water Works based on their Home Stars rating.The plumber from Water Works who came was quite likeable and friendly. The estimate I got for the run on toilet caused me some concern. Michael first asked me if I wanted a whole new toilet. I told him that I did not. He lifted off the back of the toilet and inspected everything, refered to his catalogue and told me that it would cost about $350 for him to repair it. When I asked why so much he started to name all the parts that would need changing. I questioned why the intake hose would need to be replaced and he said that to make sure that the job was done right and that he wouldn't have to come back he would have to change all the components. I am glad my car mechanic does not live by the same philosophy. I decided against getting the work done by Water Works. I ended up watching a You Tube video on toilet repairs and fixed the problem myself by purchasing and installing a new rubber toilet flapper from Home Depot for around $5. As for the ceiling leak, Michael said that in order to accurately give me a repair estimate he would first have to cut through the ceiling for a proper diagnosis. I decided against Water Works based on the toilet repair quote. Since writing this review I have been contacted by Water Works and they impressed me by resolving the situation. I am happy we were able to clear the air in an amicable fashion and dealt with the situation rather than just sweeping it under the rug.

Andrew did a great job modifying our front door with a wrought iron glass insert. His products are Canadian made, not from China. Our project consisted of going from the builders glass insert to a full size wrought iron glass inset which Andrew installs. Andrea had a great selection of wrought iron designs to choose from and many different types of glass. I found Andrew to be very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for us. I am very happy with the project he did for us and I am glad I took my time researching and finding him. We now easily have the nicest looking front door on the street. The $600 cost was much better than spending thousands of dollars for a new door from another company which we actually considered.
