Have used Classic Maids twice, 1st time was just ok, the second time I had a different cleaner (Rose) and she was much better. Rose, was more thorough and did not just a rag over the furniture, she removed the items, cleaned and then put the items back. Very pleased with the job that Rose did, wish all the cleaners where like her. Know that I will request her for my next cleaning.

Called Star Custom Shutters for a quotation, received quote and asked them to come and measure my windows. Was told that my windows do not support inside mount, so frames would need to be built and the cost would be 20% more. I was ok with that since I was told that this would make my windows look nicer. The installers came and install the frames and shutters, but I noticed that the gap between the top rail and the window frames were not evenly spaced in the set of windows in the master bedroom. One window had a much bigger gap than the others and this detracted from the over-all appearance. Call Stars and they sent in technicians. The technicians adjusted the shutter but the shutter is now a little lopsided. The technician told me that is because of my window frames, I said to the technician that these were suppose to be custom made and each window was measured by them so they should have taken this into consideration. I asked if they could put in a wood shim to lower the frame a bit and this would them make the gap more acceptable, the technician said no that it would not work, not sure why since the frame bottom had a gap that they filled with caulk. I mentioned to them that I was very disappointed since each window was measured and I was expecting that the shutters would have the same gap spacing in a series of windows, so that they would look symetrical. The technicians told me that was the best that they could do, so very disappointed since every time that I look at the shutters all I see is the even gap, which is not what I was expecting from custom made shutters. Received call from Lee the owner of the company and he came and looked at the shutter involved, he said that he would fix the issue, since he wanted his customers to be satisfied since it is his business and he wants to be in for the long term and knows that to stay that he needs happy customers. Lee removed the shutter and came back the next evening and installed the shutter himself. Very pleased that he wants his customers to be satisfied, would have no hesitation to recommend his company.

Purchased a voucher from a groupbuying website for 2 hours of handyman services from the Home Improvement People. Wanted to remove the side panel of a wooden fence and to convert the panel removed into a door to allow access to the side of my house in the backyard. The handyman who showed up was very pleasant, but could have done a better job. Called Dan from the Home Improvement People and told him of my experience, he explained that they specialize in interior renovations such as kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. Dan told me that they do not do the type of work that I wanted, but since I purchased a voucher for 2 hours of Handyman services, they sent someone. Dan wanted me to be satisfied, so he rectified the situation, I am very impressed with Dan and the Home Improvement People, customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to them.

Used Brilho to clean my house and very happy with the quality of the work. Have tried other cleaning companies and some of the workers just do a very superficial job and are not very thorough. The cleaner that was sent by Brilho was pleasant and took pride in her work.

Fibreglass insulation blown into attic over existing insulation to achieve R50 value. Crew arrived on time and were very considerate, they worked well, explained what the process involved and cleaned up afterwards. Would definitely recommend Great Northern Insulation

Issue with leak in front entrance when it rains and the wind is blowing in a certain direction. Arthur inspected and found that there were nail holes in that area, he lifted the shingle there and placed rubber membrane to seal the nail holes. He also inspected the roof and sealed some other areas that needed attention. Thank you Arthur for taking the time to explain what was happening. Will definitely recommend company to friends.
