Hired The Duct Cleaning Specialists to clean the ducts after a home reno. They came on time, worked efficiently and left everything in perfect order. Came back later at no extra charge to complete two ducts that had been blocked by stored furniture the first time. Extremely friendly and polite, very thorough and reasonably priced!

Brad came promptly to quote the job, booked the work promptly and completed the work efficiently. His price was also very reasonable compared to the other quote I received. He and his two guys were all extremely pleasant and polite, projected a caring attitude and stayed to clean up ALL the debris from the tree branches. They alerted me to a risk of cutting a cable and proposed a solution. One of them also stepped in to assist with a totally separate issue unrelated to the job which was also greatly appreciated. I would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to anyone looking for tree service.

I hired Aquamaster to install and move plumbing in my basement for my basement finishing project which included a rough in for a bathroom and kitchen among other things. I was absolutely blown away with Fedor's customer service. He came promptly to my house several months after the work had been completed in order to address a non-urgent issue I was having with the outside water faucets. Fedor is an amazing guy, showing the highest integrity and demonstrating his willingness to go the extra mile to ensure all Aquamaster customers are perfectly satisfied with the service! In addition to being knowledgeable and attentive, he is very friendly and pleasant to deal with. It turned out that the problem was my own user-error combined with some sloppy work by subsequent trades (concealing the shut-off valves), and there was nothing at all wrong with the plumbing products (frost-free sillcocks), nor with their installation. Despite that, Fedor very graciously located the valves, showed me how it all worked and didn't even charge me for his time even though the issue of the concealed shut-off valves was clearly not a problem created by Aquamaster. Seeing Fedor's level of commitment to customer satisfaction, I will definitely hire him for ALL my plumbing in the future and I will recommend him to everyone I know.

Mark is such an excellent contractor. He is a guy who really cares about doing the job right and making sure the customer is satisfied. He came to our basement project with the task of finishing our new bathroom. He provided us with beautiful tilework in the tub enclosure and installed the sink and toilet and all the faucets etc. to create a finished bathroom. A few days after the work was complete, I noticed the grout had dried with uneven colouration. When I let him know, he apologized, came back promptly, removed the grout and re-did it to my satisfaction. These days, that is a level of service you don't always get. Mark also custom built a few finishing touches for us that we could not buy off the shelf, demonstrating both his creativity and perfectionism. When I saw the quality of Mark's work in our new bathroom, I decided to also hire him to complete the millwork/trim around the basement windows as well as some non-standard door frames, which were somewhat challenging installations, but the results are immaculate. I could not be happier. In addition, Mark is wonderful to have in your home. He is very careful to drape everywhere to minimize dust, cut outside as much as possible, protect floors with plastic, and generally treat your home with great respect. He is also very nice and respectful and has a fun sense of humour. He may not be the cheapest, but if you care more about quality, he will meet and exceed your expectations and go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with his work. I will definitely call him back for our next major reno and will recommend him to others without hesitation.

Dan Lorion came highly recommended by another contractor. He was on time, polite and very professional. He has a great team so he can get a lot of work done in a short period of time, which is excellent if you are trying to schedule other trades or if you are on a short timeline. He also came up with great suggestions and was able to turn our basement vision into a reality. I will definitely call Lorion Electric if I need any electrical work in the future.

Scott came HIGHLY recommended by another tradesman working on my basement and when I met Scott, I immediately understood why. He is meticulous, extremely hard-working, honest and insightful. He is also very knowledgeable about insulation. He arrived on time, worked all day, completed his work plus along the way fixed a few minor things that weren't done perfectly by another trade, tidied up after himself AND after the other trades, and was cheerful and friendly throughout. He communicated clearly about the price and about all aspects of his quote and the work to be done. He even provided a few suggestions for other aspects of the project that were very helpful. I would absolutely never hire anyone other than Scott to do insulation work on my home. He will work tirelessly to get the job done right and will go above and beyond your expectations. I only wish I had found him sooner!

Mark and James were punctual, courteous, respectful, careful of my new floors and efficient. My unfinished basement had a slight leak so I wanted to waterproof the outside walls before finishing it. I had one company do one side, but they were not available to do the other side, although they had already quoted the work. I also contacted another company that seemed very professional, but they couldn't start for a while. So I contacted Canada Waterproofers after reading the great HomeStars reviews and I am so glad I did. They were able to meet the quote of the first company (cheaper than the second company). They performed the work in an extremely professional manner. Most important of all, they communicated frequently and clearly and were willing to address EVERY little concern that I raised along the way, no matter how trivial, without extra cost and with utmost courtesy. It was a very pleasant experience plus the workmanship was top notch. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for hard-working, honest home improvement professionals. We had three basement windows enlarged plus a brand new window cut and the city inspector had to inspect the new lintel. He passed it with no issues at all. Even the window installers who came to install the new windows commented that the waterproofing workmanship was obviously a very high quality. The jobsite was kept as clean as possible at all times, using dropcloths to avoid tracking mud whenever they had to enter the house. When there was a delay in the window well covers from the supplier, Carl immediately retained a different company to ensure the delay to me would be minimal. Final payment was never requested until all work was completed and I confirmed I was satisfied. If I ever need more waterproofing I will definitely be calling Carl from Canada Waterproofers back. He and his crew were an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish.

I called G.J. Macrae Foundation Repair when we had a leak in our basement wall because I saw them on Holmes on Homes. They were prompt, courteous and kept their word regarding cost and timelines. They even came out in January 2015 to do the work in the freezing cold. And I was so glad we didn't wait because we had some unusual weather a few weeks later with a big melt and my neighbour had $20,000 of damage in his basement and mine was

I received a very rapid response to my inquiry about eavestrough cleaning from Armstrong & Nelson. The work was scheduled for two days later. The phone staff and worker were both very professional and pleasant. The worker arrived on time, got to work and finished within the predicted time frame. Several bags of leafy debris were good evidence that the work had been done (since the roof is so high I can't inspect). They gave a great price and honored it despite the job being bigger than expected.

B3 installed a new high efficiency furnace and A/C for me. They showed up on time, worked hard and finished quickly. The work looked very neat and they left the place very tidy. The furnace wasn't working properly on the second stage during the recent very cold weather, which was disappointing because it was brand new. But B3 kept coming back until the problem was fully resolved, at no extra charge, even though they were extremely busy during that cold spell. Turns out there was a manufacturing defect in the furnace requiring a part to be replaced. I sure hope they get a refund from the manufacturer for their time trying to determine the problem. I was extremely satisfied with B3's service and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs installation or maintenance of their furnace.

Saw the excellent reviews for this company on Homestars and had high expectations. The guys arrived on time, were extremely polite and friendly and worked hard the whole time they were here. I was happy with the service, but had one minor issue. I had requested all the heating vent covers be left open throughout the house whereas many were left closed or partially closed. When I alerted Paul Hannah of this issue a couple of days later, he told me he was coming to check it out. He arrived as promised the same evening and checked to make sure everything about the job was in order. He too was extremely polite and friendly. I can honestly say that was the best customer service follow-up I have ever experienced. He made one minor adjustment to the cold air return in the basement and went on to offer me a 15% refund for the trouble. I was so impressed, I refused the refund. I will never use another duct cleaning service as long as The Duct Cleaning Specialists continue to offer this outstanding level of service. I will also recommend them to anyone I know who needs duct cleaning, furnace cleaning or dryer vent cleaning. Now if only they provided other services.... : ) Note that the cost for our job did not include furnace/filter vacuuming but we did have 9 extra vents at $5 each, which we were informed of prior to the work being booked (we also received an emailed written estimate at that time which they adhered to).

Peter and his team painted the interior of my home and I was delighted with the job. Peter also provided his professional assistance with choosing paint colours as well as the type of paint (eggshell, oil, etc.) that would look the best in each place. Their work was excellent, and Peter went the extra mile to make sure the finished look was really impressive. The whole team was very polite and hardworking and they did a great job protecting our floors and belongings, even vacuuming on the last day. They also completed the work on time and within budget. I would use them again without hesitation for any paint or stain job, and would recommend them anytime!
