We were looking to ditch our overpriced cable provider - Shin and Allie came out to do a FREE site inspection, showing us the channels and quality we'd recieve as well as discussing options for the antenna mount and cabling. They were friendly, professional, and thorough in their work - we were extremely impressed at their dedication to getting a cable into a particularly difficult area in our home! Antenna mounted on the chimney (inconspicuous and effective!), and all exterior cabling was carefully drilled, mounted, and tucked away into soffit where possible. As a result we now have 26 beautifully clear channels! We have already recommended TechUnbound to friends and family and will continue to do so. Additionally, for those reviewers complaining that work wasn't completed in a timely fashion due to inclement weather - we had to reschedule our install as a thunderstorm rolled in during our initial appointment. As a homeowner and as someone who cares about the wellbeing of others, it only seems like the right thing to do. Reschedule! I can't imagine expecting someone to climb ladders and scale a roof in a thunderstorm or the snow... Shin and Allie were highly flexible in rescheduling with us. Thank you, Tech Unbound!

I am a return customer to End of the Roll on Queen in Brampton. We have had excellent experiences with this location, their prices, product and installation. This visit and purchase was to carpet stairs. We used another local company less than 5 years ago - the carpet did not stand up to the warranty, and the other company would not honour their warranty or work. This time we took our business to End of the Roll. Bought some great Shaw carpet that has a stair warranty, and got this in writing from Vic. Installation was completed by Craig within 2 weeks of our purchase. Stairs around railings can be tricky, but Craig did a gorgeous job. Carpet has been in now for over a month and is looking great. I'd highly recommend giving these guys your business. They are well priced (we shopped around), and always helpful and informative. Installation is also second to none. We'd return there again for flooring in the future.

Researched and chose this company based on positive BBB rating and reasonable price. Drive was ripped out on July 14, paid half up front. Was advised that paving would occur by beginning of September. After 4 calls and four promises to show up, driveway was still not paved by October 15th. Finally got action when I emailed Alan and threatened BBB complaint and small claims court. Pave Guard showed up a few days later, as night was falling and did job in the dark. Results? Driveway is finally paved. It has some ridges and uneven areas. We shall see how it holds up over the winter. Not impressed with this company's response time, follow-up or excuses. Hopefully I will not need to contact them to return for warranty work, as I doubt I can count on their follow-through.

Our old hot tub kicked the bucket. Both pumps were done, jets started to fall out, and we'd dumped a lot of cash into fixing it... it was time to replace. We quickly learned that shopping for hot tubs is a lot like buying a car. Finding the right model and dealing with the right salesperson wasn't easy. After driving around the GTA from Hamilton to Milton to Toronto to Brampton, we decided to work with Griffin from Premium Wholesale on Dixie Road in Mississauga. We were in the market for a demo or previous year's model in order to save money. Griffin was accommodating and really listened to our needs. He understood that we were tied to a budget and worked hard to make a deal with us. At no point did we feel pressured into a sale (unlike several other stores, Save-On-Spa being the worst culprit, who tried the "if you buy it right now, this is the best price, but I can't sell it to you later for the same price" strategy). Griffin knows his product and was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgable about not only Master Spas but other comparable products as well. He took time to answer ALL our questions, and showed us the pumps, ozonator, and features found both outside and inside the shell of the tub. When we decided on a spa in late January, Griffin was very flexible in finding a date to deliver. Even in a ridiculous amount of snow, and down an incline to our walk-out, Griffin made the entire process of delivery and set-up smooth. When he discovered a blown fuse in the tub, he immediately went back to the shop and had us fixed up and ready to run in no time. We've been enjoying our spa for the last 2 weeks ~ there's nothing better on a cold winter's night than massage jets in a great new hot tub with the family. We feel confident that we will continue to have great after-service from Griffin and Premium Wholesale as our questions have been promptly answered via e-mail and the location and hours of the storefront are convenient. We'd easily recommend this company to others and look forward to a great continued relationship.

After a recent break-in, we were looking for video cameras to complement our existing home security system. We did a lot of research, and decided on a CCTV system with DVR so that we could monitor and track people who were on our property, both at home on a monitor and remotely on our smartphones and computers. After comparing packages and pricing from a number of service providers, we decided to go with Feroz from ACN. Feroz was patient and answered all of our questions. He was professional and thorough throughout the consultation and installation. Feroz ensured that there was attention to detail, concealing cabling and taking time to cover and cap all openings ~ you'd never know he had drilled, snaked lines, or even been there! Before leaving, Feroz and his team made sure that were were up and running, that the remote app was working on our smart phones, and gave us a complete tutorial on the DVR and computer access. We feel great about choosing ACN. The service was exceptional, and if you shop around, you will find that the price can't be beat. I will be recommending ACN to family and friends, and calling Feroz for future projects as he also specializes in hidden cabling for AV, and intercom/video entry systems. A+++++ work, ACN!

Megna Countertops is a Brampton-based company which specializes in laminate and stone/natural countertops. They have two locations that are open to the public, one on Steeles Avenue (at Torbram) and the other on Wilkinson Road at Advance. The Steeles location deals with laminates, and the Wilkinson location carries the granite slabs and does the stone cutting/manufacturing. The prices here can not be beat. The owner, Bob, is helpful and will guarantee to beat all other prices. I shopped around and found that apples to apples, Megna's granite was far cheaper in price. I went with a granite that cost $45/sq ft, but Megna's prices begin at $40/sq ft for granite. Prices include measuring and installation. I also ordered a special-order undermount sink, and saved $200 on this as compared to purchasing it directly from the manufacturer (Gemini Sinks). The Good - the price; quality of the granite (we are thrilled, it is beautiful, well installed and is the showpiece of our kitchen); professionalism of the installation; good selection of slabs at the factory; advice of Jag (factory foreman) was professional and patient. The Bad - follow-up of the Office Manger, Sabi, left a lot to be desired; poor communication on the setting of time/date for the measure; poor communication in returning calls Timelines - from selecting slab to end installation, turn-around time was very reasonable; we picked a slab and it was templated, cut, and installed within 7 business days Overall - if you are looking to save a substantial amount of money on granite, and can exercise patience in the follow-through then this is the company for you. A beautiful end product, but much frustration in the 'getting there'. We DID recommend this company to our mother, and she had the same poor follow-up and poor communication. Her granite is stunning - but some of that was dampened by the frustration in unreturned calls and missed timelines.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Improve Customer service on the part of the Office Manager (owner Bob and shop foreman Jag were great at all stages and even answered their cell phones to deal with issues in lack of communication)
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
If you are patient with the lack of communication, this is a great product and well installed at an amazing price.

Cork is a flooring surface that is awesome but still hard to find in many retailers. After obtaining samples from approximately 5 retailers, I decided to go with a Wiccanders Scandia cork floor from End of the Roll. My project space was relatively small (200 square feet), and so there wasn't much room for negotiation in the price. However, the Brampton store manager was great about calling to check stock as I was working with tight deadlines, and installation was complete within the week. Installation and service was good, and I have no complaints about the product so far. The only issue was that the reducer strip they supplied looked terrible against my existing brown/red bamboo floors; however the store reordered a much better match at no extra cost to me. The inconvenience was in the extra week it took to get the reducer and have it installed. Overall, a positive experience from a local business.

Windows are a great investment in your home, but not really as exciting as something like a kitchen or bathroom. Still, getting a great product with a good price and exceptional service is very important. As experienced window buyers (this is our third home, and in each we've needed to replace window and door systems), we couldn't be more pleased with True Seal Windows. After getting 4 other quotes, we chose Deb from True Seal. She took her time in assessing our needs and made a great suggestion for us to try awning windows instead of the casements we had been considering. True Seal is a family business with very competitive pricing and a great product. Their warranty on the windows (made by VinylBilt) and installation/craftsmanship can't be beat. Ian did the installation and was thorough, precise, and a pleasure to work with. From start to finish, we would recommend True Seal to anyone in the market for windows.

We love Ikea and always wanted to redo our kitchen with their product, but the idea of assembling and installing all those pieces was more than we wanted to do ourselves. Enter Ben from BRAMOS. After getting quotes from several Ikea kitchen installers, we decided to go with BRAMOS. The price was very reasonable, and from Ben's first visit to our home to take a look and give us a quote, his communication and attention to detail made us feel that he would be the best person for the job. Ben's many years of experience in installing Ikea kitchens was evident throughout the whole process - his precise work resulted in a beautiful product. We are extremely happy with our kitchen, and would highly reccomend BRAMOS to anyone interested in having thier Ikea kitchen installed with precision.
