Wish we could rate Perfect Painters 9.8/10, but this site only accepts whole numbers. We had just purchased a 2700 sq ft house and wanted to paint 95% of the interior walls, refinish/stain the upstairs and main floor HW floors (previous owner had a huge dog that left major scratches), install crown moulding on the main floor, upstairs hallway and master bedroom and remove the stucco/popcorn ceiling on the main floor and master bedroom. This was a major renovation and Perfect Painters delivered! There were 3 reasons we decided to go with Perfect Painters: 1) Timeline: We wanted to get this work completed before we moved in so we only had 2 weeks, which is a very aggressive timeline. Out of the 4 companies we contacted, only Perfect Painters estimated 2 weeks! The other companies estimated 3-4 weeks. 2) Price: Perfect Painters quoted the best price! 3) Joe, who's the Field Ops manager and was our project manager. We felt comfortable with him and trusted him when he came by to provide us a quote. Amazing customer service throughout the whole job! 10/10! Quality: -Painting: 10/10! There were only 3 small spots that needed minor touch-ups..that's unbelievable for a 2700 sq ft house. Very impressed! -Re-finish/stain HW floors: 9.9/10! Very nice! Removed 0.1 because there were a few spots where the floors weren't sanded down/stained properly, but Jimmy came back a couple of times to fixed the problem. Very very pleased as he also fixed the minor scratches that the movers left on the floors (didn't have to do that as it wasn't their fault but went above and beyond!) -Crown moulding: 10/10! Beautifully done! Love it! -Remove stucco/popcorn ceiling: 9/10! Lost a point because it took 3-4 re-visits after we moved in to fix the problem in the living room and kitchen (dining room, office, hallway and master bedroom were perfect). It was frustrating as it got really dusty (and the dust gets everywhere) and we had to clean up after each time. We almost gave up and just accepted the not so great ceiling, but Joe wanted us to be happy with the job. The ceiling now looks great. We highly recommend this company and would definitely hire them again! Ask for Joe...he's really the best!

The shower head in our ensuite was dripping and after a couple of weeks of the annoying noise my husband decided to 'fix' it. Well he ended up breaking something else and was forced to turn off the main water valve on Labour Day weekend. We called 3-4 companies based on reviews on this site and WaterWorks was able to come through and send someone to our house that day!!! We would have had to wait 2-3 days with the other companies due to long weekend. They didnt even charge a surcharge for it being the long weekend!!! The plumber who came was very professional and explained what broke and how he was going to fix. The only reason, I'm rating it a 9 out of 10 is because the plumber actually took a small part from our old shower head so we can't install it anymore (it wasn't broken)...also we paid for a kit that came with multiple parts but decided not to install all parts since some were still fine (he would have had to cut a bigger piece out of our wall), well he didn't leave those parts with us. I'm assuming he forgot and was tired...and I have to admit we didn't call to ask for them back ( may regret not doing that...knock on wood!) Overall very happy with service and highly recommended.

We were shopping around to replace the carpet in our 3 bedrooms and replacing a water damaged hardwood landing. We short listed 3 hardwood floor companies based on the reviews on this site. After we visited all 3 showrooms, we decided to go with Alliance Floor Source based on the amazing service we received from Timea. We then dealt with Nemo with the onsite measurements and finalizing the wood selection and scheduling. The whole carpet removal, hardwood installation and clean up were great...that is until the last day (2 day install job) I guess the hardwood installation contractors were tired and wanted to go home but when they put the caulking, they didn't watch their hands so there were dark smears on the baseboard and it looked messy (wasn't clean and seamless as the master and office). Unfortunately the last room was for the nursery and had a lot of natural light so it was very obvious, so my husband had to paint the baseboard. The other thing we weren't very impressed with was the after sale service. We gave the balance owing to the installers after they completed the job. We would have thought we would have gotten called from Alliance Floor Source to confirm they received it and if we were happy with everything, but no call/email. We decided to call them 2 weeks later for confirmation of payment and to send us an invoice that we paid in full. Also they forgot to credit us the on site visit cost since we decided to go with their company, so they also had to do that. Overall we are happy (hardwood floors are beautiful) but not impressed with after sale service.

My 8+ yrs old washer has started to make some really loud noises and I called Cascade at 11:30AM after reading all the great reviews on this site and Steve was able to come by at 2:30PM. He was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He quickly figured out what was wrong but recommended to just buy a new washer as it would cost hundreds of dollars to repair as the washer would have to be completly taken apart + the cost of the part. He even gave us a few recommendations/tips on how much liquid detergent to us (half of the detergent recommended amount), not to use softner as these would accelerate the corrosion of the washer, always use HE detergent for front loaders, keep the washer's door and liquid container open after a wash to air dry it to prevent mold. He even showed us a quick and easy way to pull the knobs off the dryer with a J cloth as we wanted to replace them! The call/diagnotics was very reasonable at $49.95+HST and he accepts cc, cash or chq. Highly recommended!
