Alex quickly responded after we'd contacted four companies for quotes. He was unable to come because he was detained at a repair job elsewhere, but called in plenty of time to inform us that Oleg would come in his place.
I have to agree with other reviewers: what struck us was the level of customer care, honesty and expertise. I'd mentioned I'd pulled the motor cover behind the fridge to clear the drain hose, thinking that might be the problem, and he admitted it sometimes could be; in our case, it was the level of frost build-up typical with this particular brand of bottom-freezer fridge. We originally thought we'd have to replace it, but thanks to his honest appraisal, the repair cost was minimal and the fridge is now working better than ever. He even advised what to do in future to minimize this issue---I thought, wow, he didn't have to do that.
He cleaned up very well after the job and we wouldn't hesitate to call them again!

I was having an odd issue with a front-loading washer. They were more than fair in the rate they charged for the work performed. I was very satisfied with the service they provided and would not hesitate to recommend them or to call them again for future needs. Excellent service! Reliable, responsive, accurate estimate of cost, arrived when expected! Oleg was able to determine the cause of the problem almost immediately when he looked inside the appliance. Because of parking issues, it is difficult to find technicians who are willing to service the downtown area. This company specializes in the downtown area.

Oleg responded within a day and an appointment was set quickly. They were easy to communicate with via text. Oleg and Alex arrived, used shoe covers and completed the repair quickly with a very reasonable rate. They were pleasant and informative. I would highly recommend them.

I've told Alex now 3 times that he's my good luck charm with respect to our appliances. One time I called him because my fridge stopped producing ice. He told me to check the water function. I did and it didn't work. Then, magically, it started working again. The next time I called, my dishwasher wouldn't work. He told me to deactivate the child lock. It was a surprisingly non-straightforward task. Problem solved. Now, the dishwasher again. The large arm sprayer was jarred loose by a tall roasting pan. I called Alex and told him I needed him to come by to fix something that would likely take him 30-60 seconds. He said he couldn't fit me in until 5 days later- and he answered his phone on Sunday, which was when I called. The next night he talked me through the arm's reattachment. It took me about 10 minutes to figure everything out. Problem solved. I offered to send him an e-mail money transfer, but he refused. Naturally, I will need him to come here for real one of these days to do a real repair. Until then, all I can do is make my highest recommendation for Man With a Wrench's services. You'll be very happy with the results.

Excellent service, at a fair price. Alex arrived on time, fixed my dishwasher quickly, tidied up, and gave me some good advice on prolonging its lifespan. And he patted the dog on his way out.

Oleg was efficient in every way. He let us know approximately when he would come and did so within the time frame promised. He assessed the issue and gave us the rundown of what things could cost. We chose to not proceed as it wasn't worth it due to the age of the machine among other things. We only paid for the visit but got so much more. Great advice on maintenance and appliance brands from his perspective. So very knowledgeable for such a young man.

I recently had a dishwasher installed by another company. I was not satisfied with the installation (there was a small leak and the dishwasher was not flush with the counter - it looked messy).
Oleg came out same day and was excellent. He removed the dishwasher to check the connections, installed it correctly, and adjusted the tilt to resolve the leak issue. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He also offered general tips on maintenance. I will definitely use them again in the future and would recommend them

I have had slow service in the past and used Man with a Wrench because of the Homestar ratings. They are everything everyone says they are: down to earth, punctual and responsible, and honest. I was told up front what the service fee would be and I was not charged as much as I thought I might be given past experience with other repairmen.
