Aleks was very professional. We had some minor drywall repairs that needed done and he worked in the same manner as he would have with a bigger job - with care and attention. He gave us a reasonable quote, arrived on time as agreed. We got much higher quotes from other contractors; one of them even said it can't be repaired and that we had to replace the entire door. The quality of work was very good. We will definitely call Alpha Builds again the next time we have renovation work to be done. Highly recommended!

Taras is a very knowledgeable, no nonsense guy, and he worked fast. He provided his honest and objective recommendation. We were initially looking to upgrade our panel to 200A. After discussing with him the purpose for an upgrade, which included a provision for a new hot water tank we wanted to install, Taras determined an upgrade was not necessary at this time, thereby saving us money. He did a thorough review of our panel, removing any piggyback connections, and resolved the circuit connection issue that burned out the breaker time and again. The end result was a clean, safety hazard-free panel + a provision for our hot water tank, and labels to go with it. He charged us very reasonably, compared to other electricians we got quoted for. We definitely recommend Taras. In fact, we are already planning to have him come back for another project.

Alex quickly responded after we'd contacted four companies for quotes. He was unable to come because he was detained at a repair job elsewhere, but called in plenty of time to inform us that Oleg would come in his place. I have to agree with other reviewers: what struck us was the level of customer care, honesty and expertise. I'd mentioned I'd pulled the motor cover behind the fridge to clear the drain hose, thinking that might be the problem, and he admitted it sometimes could be; in our case, it was the level of frost build-up typical with this particular brand of bottom-freezer fridge. We originally thought we'd have to replace it, but thanks to his honest appraisal, the repair cost was minimal and the fridge is now working better than ever. He even advised what to do in future to minimize this issue---I thought, wow, he didn't have to do that. He cleaned up very well after the job and we wouldn't hesitate to call them again!

Richard was the first of three companies to respond, so we liked that, right away. He accommodated greatly by coming on Saturday, which turned out to be a very hot weekend. He quickly and efficiently removed the a/c cowling and assessed the issue was with the capacitor---he showed me it was starting to swell and could burst. I like to understand how things work and why parts fail, and he was great at explaining everything. The cost for parts & labour was very fair and the work quickly finished. This is a guy who cares about his work and his clients.

We decided to try Natik for our condo which we were selling---after getting quotes from a few other companies---mainly due to very good reviews, reasonable price and the ease in communication with James. He was prompt to return calls and informed us in advance if he was running late. He was also very good in accommodating our last-minute request to paint our other property, first, when we realized it needed painting before we moved in. James and Tony accommodated us on our budget too, since the new home was an additional and unexpected expense. Natik has that personal touch, which you hope to find in family-run businesses, and which we liked. Tony was great in fixing the gouges and other holes on the walls and mouldings. He also did several extras that we didn't expect, but definitely appreciated. The only small glitch was a late start at the house, then a colour-choice miscommunication which was quickly rectified by James & Tony.
