Express Appliance Repair

Would use extreme caution if considering this company for any time sensitive appliance repairs.
Charged $630 for parts and labour. Problem - almost Two weeks later, parts never arrived. No insight, ahipmwnt tracking, confirmation that order was receviwd by supplier in Calgary, nothing. Two weeks without fridge. Told if I cancelled the order they would charge me a 30% restocking fee.

The Express Repair customer service team was difficult to deal with. Not insightful,unable to confirm when parts would be available for install. Would not make an effort to contact the supplier to follow up.
Kept being told that parts would arrive shortly.

Terrible customer service and attitude - No sense of urgency.

BUYER BEWARE - We had them come to do a repair as our fridge and freezer were not cooling and they charged us $370 for a relay (which took all of about 30 minutes to replace). They said it would take about 6-8 hours for the fridge to get back up to temperature. We went out for dinner and came home and fridge and freezer were getting WARMER NOT COLDER!!! Called them right away and receptionist said she would call technician and call us back. No call back of course. I called 5 more times and waited for over 20 minutes each time with no response...literally no one has answered my call since. I think they block your phone number once they've TAKEN your money! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL SERVICE AND I WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY.

The worst experience ever, he just came and check the oven and took 2min. And he gave me an option that doesn’t work to tried. As soon as I said ”no” he Pulled his phone and start collecting for the 2min service. They’re not professional don’t bother and call them.

This is not a reputable company. I was hoping for someone to come in and fix my dishwasher, instead it turned into a rude conversation with their technician who didn't seem to know what he was doing. He even tried to jack up the original quoted price for simply staring at my dishwasher. When he left my dishwasher was still broken and misdiagnosed. The company seems to not know anything about fixing appliances.

Unless you want to pay money to have a terrible experience with their technician, a terrible experience with their customer service, and a rude conversation with their upper management that will waste hours of your life, do not use this company. They will take your money and run.

Worst service, I make sure there would be warrently on repair and the person who came did not want to explain the issue and ask for $290 on top of the service fee to fix it but said there wont be any warranty on it.

Technician was very unprofessional. I asked them if they have the part I need for fixing the refrigerator. I diagnosed the problem before he arrived and just needed the part. He said yes and after arriving said no its back order. He literally charged me for the visit for nothing and left in just 5 minutes. Looks like he just came for charging $ 90 only.

Technician Vitality arrived on time. He quickly evaluated the fridge and thoroughly explained the problem and told what was required to fix it and the associated cost.
The job was completed promptly and professionally.
Vitaly was polite, and professional. I was very pleased and would recommend this company to anyone who had an appliance issue

DO NOT CALL THIS PLACE EVER!! make sure you read all these reviews seems like there is a pattern with tecs that dont know what they are doing and gouging on prices. GO TO THE BBB site to share your experience.
I called to have the tec look at my fridge because it wasnt super cold. He unplugged it to let it defrost then he wen to his car. Spent about 15 mins in there. Then came back with a manual and spend over an HOUR reading it and not doing anything for the whole hour. Then tells me its just the thermostat. I know he took advantage of me because im a female. He said oh its going to cost 450 please tax to install it. So i was debating and said i think its better that i buy a new fridge and hes like no fridges are way to expensive its its work it just fixing this one. So i say yes to it thinking that this would be a long job. And he puts the defrost thermostate in and it took him 20 mins to install. He also didnt tell me he took my part back. Probably hiding the fact it was a $16.99 part. so i call michelle and she tells me her tecs are professional and know what they are doing and i told her he sat there and read this manual for over an hour and she told me"no he didnt" and i was like how the heck would you know you were not there. so basically acted like i was making it up, even though i told her to look at other reviews to see similiar experiences with tecs sitting reading manuals for over an hour. She didnt seem to give a crap. Even the customer service is 0 stars. A normal basic 45day warranty Defrost thermostat $100! they made sure to cover their tracks cause they put no model number and took my old one. After paying for his education learning over an hour to install a thermostate they charge me almost $450. I could of went on you tube to install it myself. It was like 2 wires. I should of read the google reviews and BBB before i called and asked my husband to be present there so i wouldnt of got taken advantage of so dont make my mistake DO NOT GO HERE!!

Contacted this company to repair appliance. This appliance is in a home I own and rent to tenants. The appliance was a dryer that was over 12 years old. One of the 3 fins inside the dryer drum had fallen off. Not essential but the clothes take longer to dry when they can't tumble properly. The one good thing was he showed up 3 hours early for scheduled appointment. Unfortunately this caused problems. The tenant was not home yet and I did not know where the fin was. I was trying to find the fin and the repair man was looking on the internet to replacement part. I asked him how much it would cost, I was not willing to spend too much on such an old appliance. He told me at least $225. I said forget it.
The tenant arrived home and located the fin. I had to take a call and when I came back 4 min later... the repair man had reattached the fin.
He then have me a bill for $290 for repair. Outrageous. I would never had approved if he had discussed with me.
After he left the tenant told me that the repairman told him the fix would not last. The hole that held the fin to the drum had eroded. There was also a foot note on my bill that said when it falls off the drum would need to be rebuild at a cost if $490. Plus materials.

After they work they told me the price and for 40 minute they charge me $307. Very expensive for 40 mins job without any part changes. They charge my credit card 3% more than what we agree on after the left and only discovered the additional charges when I received my statement. They never send me the invoice even after repeated request. I am not happy with their service.
