Pacesetters is the worst builder to buy home from

Bought home in 2021, after the sales manager got the cheque and signe the agreement, he was never available for listening. The worst material used for plumbing and faucetts. Booked multiple appointments with ServiceQ and still many items pending to get repaiered and now they are asking warranty period is over. I have to replace toilet fill valves after year and half, faucett water flow in sinks and kitchen is too slow, garagae and drive way reapirs pending and no response from ServiceQ.
Pacestters builder will find the cheapest possible material from the market that could hardly last for a year to cover their one year warranty. Overall the worst experience.

Veranda Roof Leaks in Winer When Snow Melt

I have observed this leaking issue on my porch(front door) since last winter. Basically whenever the temperature goes above 0, snow melt and I observed the leaking from the roof of Veranda at the front door. I bought this house new in 2015, only 7 years it starts leaking. I have discussed with the Service Administrator, they said it's not covered after 5 years. Be careful if you buy house from Pacesetter.

New Home

I wish I had never signed on for purchasing a house with Pacesetter. They are selfish people who are experts at giving empty promises. I agreed to a contract with them to build a new house, and I was told before signing a contract that I would have an option to select design and furnishings of house and all included in price of house. They stopped to communicate with us after we signed a contract with them. When we went to select our home décor options, they charged us a lot more than the market price and raised the price of our house by 30K over what it was originally supposed to be. They claimed that our choices were part of a premium option, even though they were very standard. They treated us rudely when we requested that our contract be terminated, and refused to give us any refund back and gave us only option to go with their below standard decor options.

Horrible customer service

I wish we never bought a home through Pacesetter. They have been giving us empty promises since our papers were signed. First off, they wouldnt submit our offer, so we put in a second offer which we were told we would hear back in a day or two. It took almost a week for them to come back with no. We submitted another offer 5k off the price and heard back within the hour. We were told the offer had to be taken to their vice president and that we were getting a great deal. That same night I was on the Pacesetter website and our home was listed with a 5k appliance credit and free window coverings. All our excitement for our new home was taken away. Our sales manager told us he didnt know about the deal and they said we could either take our original offer of 5k off the price or the offer posted online. Our weeks of negotiating was pointless. We told them from the BEGINNING that our condos new owners take possession on October 24th. They assured us that our move in date would be October 16th, possibly even the beginning of October. We were told their lawyers would need a maximum of 3 weeks for paperwork. We received an email (not even a phone call as promised) saying our move in date is November 6th and to respond within 72 hours. We called and emailed that same day and didnt hear back. We have left countless messages and no one returns our calls. They take the coward approach of emailing back. I finally got a hold of someone yesterday after 5 DAYS of calling. She assured me that no matter what we would have the garage to store our belongings and not to worry. Today I spoke with Jen (almost in tears) and she told me someone would call back. Again we didnt get a call, we received an email saying we would not be getting our promised possession date nor would we be getting the garage to store our things. I called her back and she was extremely rude and condescending. Now we will have to pay for storage and two separate moves. We will be sharing this horrible experience with everyone we know in hopes that you wont have to go through the same experience we did

Do not build with Pacesetter!

We have been waiting 13 months and were told it wont be ready for maybe another 4. Every time we try to speak with someone they continue to tell us they are short staff. Weve gone by the house many times and there is several weeks where they dont have anyone working, and when they finally do its often one person. Also, for some reason they like to complete the driveway last. They are telling us the house will be ready for move in during winter without the driveway complete. Not exactly convenient and it makes no sense. They had all summer they could have completed the driveway. Ive seen houses in the area with different builders go up in half the time. Im not sure what is happening with this builder, friends we know in the past never had issues, but anyone I know recently who have chosen them have had nothing but issues, and long wait times.

Missing address plaque along with many issues in the house

I have been waiting for more than 7 months and I still dont have my address plaque. Builder told me Id be getting it approximately 3 months after the possession date but apparently they forgot to process. No communication from Pacesetter regarding updates on the address plaque. This has given me troubles because my deliveries get lost and my visitors are having trouble finding my home. The missing address plaque has been my main concern along with a few issues inside my home. I would not recommend doing business with Pacesetter as you will not get your moneys worth coupled with their poor customer service and lack of communication.

Worst Builder in Edmonton

We signed with Pacesetter in April 2020 for a new construction house, lo and behold our house is just on framing stage right now. The assistant handling our file messed up and lost our documents, hence those were not submitted on time. They refused to give us a clear timeline and no apologies ever given to us. Our mortgage rate has been affected, but the only thing they say is that it's out of their hands.

New home

We dealt with Dianne who was excellent to deal with . She was always prompt at returning our calls and was always available to answer our questions . She made us feel comfortable when asking questions . because she has an interior decorating back ground she offered her skills in suggesting up to date ideas in Colors and decorating. Her assistant Sandra was also very good in her position offering ideas and thoughts on new home buying.
